At patreon.com/dandr for the next three months we're going to be doing something special with character chats. We're going to be sitting down with each of the groups A, B, and C and talking about their entirety of Ark 2. We really hope you guys will enjoy it and without further ado, let's get on with the show.
Previously for group C, while exploring the city of Uminyero and getting information on demons and their chosen opponents, the royals, Avalon was led astray by a researcher who ended up conducting some sort of experiment on him. After breaking free, Avalon assaulted the man and ultimately strangled him. Hiding the body in the man's own research lab, Avalon took off to meet back with the group. And that's where we're picking up things today. Let's do that thing where we go around the table for the last time in this Ark with group C. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master, going around the table starting with Jasper.
Well hello, this is Jasper. I play Merrick, Alpha Red, Human Cleric. And Mandy. Hi guys, this is Mandy and I play Iris, the Human Cleric of the God of Undeath. And Varee. Hello guys, this is Brianna and Varee. I play Klara Urachdale, the half-Drow Fighter. And Ryan. Hey, this is Ryan, I play Varys Alder, the half-elf monk intern. Senior intern. And Zach. What's up, my name is Zach and I play Avalon Bates, the Human Fighter. And the recently engaged Lisa. Hey guys, what's up? I'm Lisa, I play Eloraf, Beastinger, the halfling barbarian who's got a little something shiny in real life.
Congratulations. What kind of buffs do you get for that? I don't know. What happens when you crit? Oh, I don't know. We'll find out. That's good tie-in. So, um... [sigh] Theoryathon. Our last session was a theoryathon and quite a bit happened. Um... I was gonna say nobody died, but that's not true. [laughter] Nobody important died. So, okay. I need Avalon to roll a couple of checks for me, but let's... Let's, um... Let's get into the episode a little bit before we get into that. Where would Avalon go? Are we getting the party back together at some point? We talked about meeting at a restaurant.
You see, Avalon would have went exactly to the bench he was waiting for, um... Merrick before and just not moved like a statue. So another old man is gonna come walking up to you after a while. Oh, fuck. [laughter] Just strangle him immediately. [laughter] Right there in the middle of the street. [laughter] Why won't you die? Why won't you die? Fool me once, shame on you. All old men look the same. [laughter] Okay, so Merrick... Uh, Merrick, uh, got done talking to Tamlin. And essentially cut a deal so that the royals are delayed by 24 hours. You got yourself a day.
What's the plan from here? Uh, from Merrick's point of view? Or... Well, Merrick was pulling strings. I'm assuming there's a plan attached to it. I mean, honestly, at this point, it's all the strings have been pulled from Merrick's point of view that he could probably plausibly pull. Which is a little delay on the royals. He's talked to Jodie and made a deal on behalf of the group without the group knowing about it. But, got tons of information, as much as the royals know, as far as we know, about everything. So, right now, as far as he's concerned, it's like level playing field.
Even the 24 hours just kind of gets, not even an advantage, but just like starting at the same time, basically. Right. So I think Merrick has a list of things in his head that he's got to take care of. But just logistically, it would be making sure that the group knows what's going on, the discussion that he had with Jodie, and then it's about procuring a ship. Which means go to the docks or wherever that might have to happen. Mm hmm. What about everybody else? What's everybody else doing at this point? I think Elorath and Varus were still on that, like, vantage point when we left off.
So I think at some point we'd probably try and make our way back, I'm assuming, Ryan? Yeah, I mean, I think that they kind of had a moment to just talk and take things over. And I think after a little bit, as time, you know, as time has passed, I think they would just walk back. Okay. So how about we do this? Let's skip ahead in time a bit. So it is evening. You guys have had an eventful day in the city of Uminyero and I thought we were all meeting up at Alakaham. Yeah. Yeah. That was the plan. Okay. Just saying, if it's evening, I want ham. Okay. So Alakaham is situated right across this walkway.
Think almost a food court situation. So it's right across from this walkway to another restaurant. Now, the owners are brothers. Each one owns a different restaurant. So if you're going to Alakaham, there's this little gnome. And he would greet you the second that you walk in. Very boisterous. If you've ever been to... Oh, man, I'm trying to think. Like a lot of East Coast establishments do it, but not to an obnoxious degree. Like a lot of chain restaurants do it. Like if you walk in, they're like, "Hi, greetings!" That type of thing. But this is a very personable greeting.
Like, "Oh, how you doing, chief?" Does he really call us chief? He calls you chief. That's important. Okay. Yeah. So this little gnome with... Picture a lemmy stash. Like it goes all the way into his hair and he's kind of got like longer, like shoulder length hair. And he would grab some menus and stuff. It's honestly, it's not packed, but the place is hopping. Like there's quite a bit going on. And he would welcome everybody into the restaurant and take a seat and hand you guys some menus and ask if there's anything he can get started for you. Hmm. I want ham.
Well, then you have come to the right place. So this menu, I wouldn't say this is healthy eating. What I would say is it's a treat, right? You're in Uminur. You're in a nice city. You're off the road. You don't have to eat from like a tin or dried rations. You want something savory. You want like a roast boar or you want some salted elk. You want something brought to your table, steaming and hot that used to be alive. Yes. This guy gets it. And that's how he would pitch it to you. Like he's very into meat. That's their tagline. The other half is like nodding like, yes.
It's on their side just like that. As this is all happening, by the way, just for a little bit of color, when they are presumably they've sort of all met up. Coincidentally, it's all sort of at the exact same time. They all kind of wait there for the party to be there. They start to take us in now that we're around people and sort of the citizenry of Uminuro, Merrick is kind of trying to stay a little bit back behind stuff. He's not hiding, but he's kind of well, he's kind of hiding, but he's not overtly hiding. He's kind of hiding his face, kind of like turning the other way whenever there's a lot of people around that kind of thing.
OK. Just try not to be noticed. Yeah. Could you do me a favor? Give me a deception check. But it did it because it's not out now stealth, but it's more like, you know, yeah, you know, do do do do do. That's with advantage, right? Because I'm sorry, I'm kidding. That's a nine nine nine. Totally respectful. So what would you guys be catching each other up on the day's events? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Clara would give the whole report about meeting the royals and oh, this I want to hear. Let me check my notes. All I remember is that she doesn't want to have sex with Faye anymore.
What? Oh, it was the racist human. That's right. So I had to make a note of like, I will not be sexing her. I will not be sexing her. So. I assume we all have the food. She already said that she met them and then she'll just go down the list and be like, a human named Faye, Tiefling named Maverick, he's annoying, dwarf named Evan, Goliath named Hark, and a Minotaur named Glory. And they were pricks and I hate them now and I want to take something away from them. Maric's just going to give a quick, like a tiny high five. The whole time she's talking, she has like wide eyes and she's like smiling and nodding like, and I want to hurt them.
Yeah, he's he's going to fist bump. I take the high five back. Nice. I just recalled as well, though, that Maric was not aware of the information that that the royals have, like the packet of information that they received. So he wouldn't have known anything about that. He just knows that they received a packet of information. Right. And I don't think if I remember correctly, Clara wasn't able to see much of it. Like I rolled and it was like, well, you know, it's about the gates, the end. Right? Well, you yes, that's what you gathered. But if you remember, there was a partnership agreement with Maric and Jodie, and she is essentially getting a bunch of stuff ready and is going to send it along.
Yeah. Got it. I thought she gave gave the packet to Maric. It doesn't matter. Point is, I guess. Yeah, I guess Jodie kind of said like, oh, I'm getting this stuff together that I've already given them to maybe. OK, fine. She gave you a packet of cash. Oh, that's right. Yeah. You got a manila envelope full of bills. Yeah. Sounds good. 15,000 gold. I like it. Yeah. OK, cool. Well, is that discussed at any point? Because I know it's not actual. Like we use platinum and stuff like that. But for ease of use, I picture Maric like, just like sitting down. Just a big old bag.
What's in your bag? Nothing. I'll tell you later. Stacking on the table into like shapes like, look, it's a pony. So I don't want to take anything away. Assuming that sort of information dump a little bit about the royals, Maric's not going to say anything except for the fist bump. But when it comes to and they had some information, you know, and I couldn't really tell anything about it. Maric's just going to do a quick sort of like the the gun finger and a wink and go, you know, like, got it. What's that shape? I have no idea what that is. The gun finger.
It looks like a gun. What's a gun? It's for antheria. It's a hand crossbow. Exactly. There you go. He does the hand crossbow emoji. Anyway, he's just excited because he's hearing all of this stuff come together in his head. So he's going to be like, not covered, covered. He's just waiting. He's not he's not telling any of the story yet. Feels like we got a Mexican standoff with information here. OK, well, that's not meant to be the. I'm just I'm just. Yeah, no, you're right. Is there anything else needed to be said from Clara's point of view? No, I think basically it's like here's a breakdown of who they are.
Like she'd probably go into detail about each one, describe them physically and give all the details she did have. But she didn't get a lot of information besides leaving tomorrow, which Maric already dealt with and face a bitch. That's it. That's all I got. OK, I can add a little color to all of this. Number one, I first of all, they're delayed about a day. So we've got that on them. Number two, I've got some information coming our way. That's probably the same information that they've got on the gates. That's number two. Talk to Jody. Number three. I talked to Jody and I kind of signed us all up for something, but it's on me and it's my responsibility.
And you're not you don't have to do anything about it. But basically I got her to help us get our shit together so that we can, you know, make all this stuff happen before the royals do. So we're going to be researchers. He's going to shrug and lean back. Researching what? Well, the gates. Do we have to read and stuff? No, no. All we have to do is take notes. All we have to do is describe things. All we need to do is come back and just explain our adventures. That's all we have to do. I miss Efony. Yeah. I love how much you could hear Elorath thinking, "Nerds!" I did not sign up to read.
I'm going to reach up to knock the books out of your hands. She'd kick you in the knees, get you down to her level. Throw him on the floor. So she's going to like visibly react. Sorry, visibly relax when you say that it's the gates, because she thought you would just sign them up for another project. Nope, it's all coming together. In fact, the only way to get ahead of the royals is to get a ship. And that's kind of a problem, right? He's going to look around at everybody and then he's going to take whatever sack of gold or manila envelope that he has and he's going to pick it up.
He's going to go, "ba-dunk!" onto the table. A picture of a manila envelope, but it's still filled with like coins. It's really awkward to take it out. It's just bulgy. He's going to whip that out on the table. Just "pow!" He is. Not the coins themselves, but the sack. He's going to point at it and say, "Come on, come on." I liked the genuine ring of disappointment. Like from 2nd Jasper did think we were better than that. No, no. Honestly, I said, "Come on," because you got the image in my head. I'm like, "Come on, stop, stop." I'm trying to get it out of my brain.
I know you're not better than that. Don't worry. I don't want you thinking better of me than I am. That's certainly not what was happening. I was kind of imagining how he would have done such a thing and I kind of think I know how he would have done it. No, he's going to point at it and say, "That's our research money. That's our ship." He's beaming. He's incredibly excited about this. Huh? Huh? I picture the entire table just silent, not knowing what to do, everybody staring at this pile of money. I actually think that Jodzie... No! Oh, no. Start over. God, you're so over.
Clara's mouth is just kind of like partially open. Her eyes are wide. How did you get that? That's our grant money. You didn't murder an old man and put him in a closet, did you? Who would do such a thing in Umineiro? No, that's our research money. It's grant money. This is money that we can take to get a ship. This is the upfront money. We come back. We give all of the research about the gates. Jodie is our sponsor. She wins. We win. It's great for everybody except for the royals and that's exactly what we want. All right. She sure is trusting you. Well, the way I explained it was, you know, a little bit of cash.
Okay, I get it. Everything goes wrong. We never come back. She doesn't have to even tell anybody it happened, right? You know, it's not going to be like Jodie is the person who ruined everything about the gates and we don't know anything about it anymore. I just said it's a win-win. When we come back, she basically gets to be the sponsor. She gets to be the one who writes up all the papers and everybody can. She could be. Who cares? She could be lead author on everything there is to know about the gates. That's fine. So it's a win-win win-win win for Jodie and for us.
Great job. I'm going to probably have to stick around for a little bit longer than just the research because of my. He's going to make a face. The stuff I have inside me. I like how it's just stuff now. It's not even just one thing anymore. It's just a conglomeration of things. That's really good job, Merrick. And she's going to give him like a like an elbow nudge. I do have one question. Are you going to be able to stay calm on a boat? Boats are absolutely not a problem. Oh, thank God. Yeah, it's the soothing. It's the waves. It's the back and forth. Actually, I have no idea.
I can tell you that the last time I was on a boat, it was pretty stressful and it was not under great circumstances and nothing happened. But, you know, and he's going to he's going to point over at Avalon and maybe put his hand on his shoulder and clap him on the shoulder and just be like, you know, you know, this is our this is my insurance. This is your insurance. I was actually wondering something. I'm actually there. Right. Because I don't remember if I just don't know if Avalon would have gotten up because he wouldn't know how to get there. I love thinking this is all happened without him there.
I'm just thinking about it. He could have found his way there. Go to pat him on the back and he's just yes. I totally think he's a really insurance policy. Okay. Yeah. And I just made his way. He's just staring off in his face and when you clap his shoulder, he jerks back. All very wide eyed. He's just staring at you like he wasn't paying attention at all. Yeah. You OK, buddy? He doesn't answer. He just looks down. All right. We need to get some drinks and Miracle try to get whoever's attention so they can they can get another round of drinks or whatever. Oh, yeah.
That that would not be a problem. Are you is this a celebratory type of thing or are you just enjoying dinner? Enjoying dinner. I mean, this is still America would have tried to push everybody into a corner where they're not in the middle of everybody. Right, right, right. Yeah. It's like a private celebration. OK. So, yeah, they're going to get you some drinks and set you guys up. So, yeah, I'm going to I'm going to need you to make some rolls for me. Let's do it. OK, so you did a thing. Yes. Yes, I did. Your honor. So, OK. You are in a very populated city with really good security.
That's the bad. The bad is that you murdered a dude who didn't have a ton of friends. It's good. What I'm going to need you to do is one roll a D10 with a plus three. Now, let me explain what you're rolling for. That that body is going to be found eventually, but we need to know how eventually. So, on a scale of one to 10, 10 being the most time, one being the least amount of time. Let's see how long it's going to take the citizens of Uminyur to stumble upon that body. Now you get a plus three because this was a lonely old man. OK, I'm ready. OK, let's do it.
So it's going to be a while. Good. Now, we need two more rolls. OK, one, we need to see what the public reaction is going to be on a scale of one to 10. Ten being so outraged that this could happen in their city, that there is a full blown, a full blown investigation. One being something that they'd want to keep quiet and not want to tell the citizens of Uminyur. Because it's like, oh, my God, that can happen here. That shouldn't be able to happen. So they might want to keep it on the DL. So give me a flat D10. It's going to be low. They don't care about this guy.
Uh oh, that's an eight. Beloved old gentleman. Somebody's grandpa. Now, the last one. I want to see if there's a personal element. I want to see if there is some long lost relative or someone that cared about Darius that really wants to make this personal and find the killer. Ten being this person will not rest and spend every waking hour of the rest of their life. Oh, my God. And one being this isn't really personal, but the city's really outraged. So we got to we got to try and find them. Give me a flat D10, please. He's a lonely old guy. I'll be fine. Oh, you're on fire.
Well, that's a six. So there's a personal element here. Not crazy personal, but personal. So it's going to be a while before they find this body. But when they do, oh, brother. Yeah. OK. OK. I know what I have to do. Oh, God, that sounds ominous. Um, there is the business of the flail. Has that come up at all? That was my next thing was there's two things, actually. First is that and the other one is, you know, there's been some research around demons and and stuff. Did we ever get any sort of closure around any of the information that we found or that was found?
That's another question. First thing is this. Oh, speaking of Jody, and he's going to pull out a little envelope from one of his little pockets and he's going to motion over to Elorath and Jody. And then he's going to motion over to Elorath and just sort of lean forward and say, Jody says, this is for you. Sweet. Thank you. She's going to grab it very greedily. Give me me me and tear into it. Oh, now we want to read. Oh, yeah. Research has it. So, Lisa. I just heard Lisa put her hands in her palm. Yes. Do you remember a few years back when I told you that something was up with your flail?
I do. Well, I hope that you find this information worth the wait. A few hundred years back, there was a guy named Drach. Shut up. OK, go ahead. I'm getting mixed messages here, Lisa. OK, so there's this guy named Drach, and he, in his years of service, amassed quite a loyal and powerful army. And these people ripped across the countryside. They they were. Insanely dominant in combat, and there are a few reasons for this one. These people had nothing to live for beyond combat. They didn't own land or houses. They had no families. They were taken as slaves when they were younger and trained to fight.
On top of that, they kept everything they looted all this plunder. They kept weapons and artifacts and armors, and eventually they became unstoppable, which was kind of a problem. Because eventually Drach got tired of fighting someone else's war and just kind of fucked off. But before he did that, he had he had some really loyal people at his side, people that he could delegate to. One of these people was a female dragonborn, and she was named Karahach. And she had a flail called the Enforcer. And essentially this this this packet of info would break all this down and it's like, oh, yeah, this is like this is a long lost weapon.
Like this was this is quite a find. Now, if this were anybody else, they would probably stolen that from you. But because Jodie already knows Marek and they kind of have this partnership thing going and it's more about the research, she doesn't. It's not about the money. It's about like, oh, well, what a great historical find for you. There would be instructions on how to bind yourself to this weapon and unlock its true potential. I only back dying. Go on. Do you do you want me to give you. OK, I'm so excited. No, no, no. So the Enforcer comes with its own stats.
Technically, there's a term in D&D that we have to bandy about here for a minute. Cursed weapons. Now, technically it's cursed, but it's cursed with the fighting spirit of Karahok. And essentially you can tap into that legendary fighter's spirit and go into berserker mode. I can berserk on top of my berserking. Yes. So if you choose to do that. I'm going to. Oh, I'm an NPC, that's why that item didn't come up. The Enforcer. If you bind yourself to this weapon. Oh, one, by the way, this is extremely valuable to the right buyer. Just letting you know, but you probably don't.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just just letting you know. So automatically when you bind yourself to it, you're going to get a plus one to attack and damage rolls. That's just for starters, right? OK. Yeah. Sorry. OK. No, no, no. Also, your hit point maximum increases by one for each level you've attained. Oh, fuck. I need all of the points. It gets better. So this flail is technically cursed. And when you attune to it, it's going to want to stick by your side and you are going to want to stick by its side to break free of that, to actually give it up. You're going to have to essentially make a check.
And yeah. When a hostile creature damages you while this flail is in your possession. You can either give into this outright or use you can succeed on a wisdom save and keep yourself from this. If you don't, you go berserk. You have to use your action in each round to attack a creature nearest to you with the flail. Now, if you make extra attacks as part of an action, you use all the extra attack. Basically, you're just attack, attack, attack. The cool thing is, while you're in this mode. You do double weapon damage. Oh, OK. Also. If you crit with this thing.
On top of regular critical hit damage and whatever you roll on the crit table. You do an extra 2d6 damage. I'm dying. Yes. Just just food for thought. Letting you know. OK. Was there more? That's that's it. But OK. Yes. LRF is going to read all this and process it for a second. Her eyes are just going to be like as big, probably as like a saucer as much as they can go. And she's going to like put the paper down on the desk or on the table for a second. She's just going to say, oh, my God, I need to talk to Jock. He has no clue what he just gave me. Very excited.
Oh, man, that is the exact right. It's so I need to mock the person who gave it to me. It's the exact right. I got to write a letter and mock my minotaur dad. Oh, so I hope that was worth the three year wait. God, yes. Thank you. Sounds worth for sure. That's nice. Did I get all of that sent to me? You absolutely can. Guess what? If you choose to attune, I'll replace your weapon with the enforcer. It's a one of a kind item and you can read it at your leisure. I would like to. What does that sorry, if we're not going to take too much time, like what does that entail?
Oh, it's basically a short ritual. OK. OK. All right. She will definitely do that as soon as they get down from human. OK. Merrick, Merrick, Merrick, Merrick, Merrick, Merrick, Merrick, Merrick, Merrick. Yes. Yes. Yes. She'll hand him the paper. Look, she'll show everybody. Yeah. Miracles are scanned through it real quick. And as he's reading, he's going to just do another fist bump out towards the. She's going to take both of hers and tap them on yours. And he's going to just keep passing it down like whoever's next to look at it. And he's going to nod like, mm hmm.
Oh, yeah. So we need to get you to that flail, huh? Get out of here. Is that what we're saying? I can finish my ham as we walk. All right. But there was another reason we came to this place. That's demon removal. Right. Yes. I think we left things off where Jodie was going to send the notes to Tatiya. Yeah. Sweet. OK. Didn't remember that. That's great. Fantastic. OK. Basically just tying up loose ends at this point because Maric's like rubbing his hands together like we got to get going soon. This is going to be great. OK, so we're just going to we're going to pick up the stuff from Jodie.
Got to get a ship. So this is sort of the end of the day. I. How far away is are the docks? Well, there is a dock manager in the city. It wouldn't be too far away from where Tamlin is. And then the actual physical docks are, of course, on the ground. OK, cool. Cool. So it wouldn't have to be like, I'm going to go get a ship and then go to the docks. It's more like go deal with all of the logistics here in the city. Yeah, there's a couple of different things you could do with that, because there's usually someone looking to sell if you're offering the right price, that type of thing.
And with that amount of gold, you could get a sailing ship. Like you could get something that might be able to rival what the royals have. Oh, yes. You're speaking my language. OK, well, yeah. One thing not to cut you off. Please cut me off. OK. A woman is going to approach the table after after just just after you guys are done catching up with the flail. And she's she's probably going to stop about four or five feet away from the table. Merrick. Oh. Merrick's not going to look up, but he's going to say. He's going to close his eyes and he's going to say, hey.
And there's kind of a look. There's a little bit of a look of shock on her face. I didn't know you were in the city. He's this is he's incredibly flustered. Yeah, this was a quick. These are my friends. We're we we had some business quick. He's actually going to get he's very flustered. I'm sorry. I know that I shouldn't be here and I'm sorry. Well, we're going to leave within within hours. And there's a mix of expressions when you go to say, I'm sorry, it would probably be like a like a like a casual lifting of the hands, like no need. And then as you as you kind of profusely apologize, it's like we're leaving, but there would be almost the tiniest bit of frustration.
And then you don't you don't have to leave. You don't have to apologize. It's and she's going to catch herself and then look at the party. I'm I'm very sorry. I'm being rude. My name's Tia. Hello. I have a flail. Literally, she's probably like waving her letter. Hello. And watching this whole time, I roll the perception check to see if she would like kind of pick up on it immediately. And I think she probably did because, like, they've had this conversation a few times regarding Tia. So, like, as soon as someone said Merrick's name, it's almost like she kind of assumed it was Tia.
So she'll give a little smile like, oh, hi, Clara. And she'll offer her hand. Oh, yeah, yeah. She'll she'll offer to shake hands with everybody. It's kind of awkward when there's six people at a table to high high. But, yeah, she would offer. This is excruciating for Merrick, by the way. He's not looking up. Hey, did you do me a favor? Yeah. God damn it. Could you could you roll a flat before for me? Could you prove her right? Three. Three. How about that spa? Oh, spa sounds nice. My ex. There's a wolf inside of me. Sorry. Is there a chance we might be able to talk alone?
Merrick's going to look up and then he's going to look around at everybody and he's just going to nod his head. He's not going to say anything and he's going to push his chair. He's going to push his chair back and then start to stand up. And then he's going to hesitate. And then I think this perfect Clara. Clara is going to see that and go. How about we meet you at the exit? I. Because we were planning on going down to the docks and everything, right? So not to the dogs, because there's a dock manager in the city. So we don't. Right, right, right, right. I pictured him in the docks for some reason, even though Jason specifically said he wasn't in the.
So right. Erase that. How about we go talk to the dock manager? And you can join us here. Here, take my seat and she'll stand up and let us sit down so at least they'll be talking somewhere kind of public. Yeah, that helps, you know, like you take your girlfriend out to break up with her kind of thing. You already did that part. Oh, no. That was the yeah. That was Merrick's hesitation is. Wait a minute. Alone doesn't sound like a smart idea. Guys can talk over ham. That is boy, that's just the best. That is such a such a conversational lubricant is ham. Just just all the best things here about him.
Lubricant, please. Oh, man. Do you know when you get a shitty canned ham and it's got that jelly packed in it like spam? Ever. Also, remember, Merrick is a vegetarian and all he's been eating is whatever bread they keep bringing. Oh, it's ham bread. It's all ham. He doesn't realize it. It's all chopped up in it. No, he's fine. He's not saying anything. He's just eating the bread a little bit of butter and stuff. OK, I don't want to I don't want to run us off to off course, but I did look up ham lubricant and it's called Boykin Oink. Now we can continue. Wait, does it smell like ham?
It's bacon flavored lube. Stop that. Boykin Oink. Christmas is coming up, everybody. If I don't get some of that in my stocking, I just take a no-soaking. OK, not everything needs to come on. I think this is back from when the Internet would like flip out over bacon. Remember that terrible time when like that was the joke. Yeah, bacon is delicious. It is, but I don't eat it in my lube. Yes, you do. You don't know. Maybe you do. Maybe they know something I don't. Meat on your meat. Here's the problem. That makes me think of bacon sizzling, which makes me think of heat, which I just like I don't.
Too much friction. Yeah, that just anyway defeats the purpose. Hot oil that could catch things on fire. Right. It's gone. Right. I get it. Yeah. Sorry. Go ahead. Is everybody getting up to go or is it just sort of. I probably like Clara's kind of gathering like Elaras, and she probably, I would imagine, has to tap Avalon on the shoulder. Hey, let me ask a question, because this is probably way too late, but like Varus has been exceedingly quiet. Yeah. Yeah, he's just sitting there. So leading his food. Poor guy. OK, I just wanted to make sure. Yep. Yeah. For additional color, Merrick has not been looking at Varus in the eye the whole time.
Yeah, I think Varus would pretty much be looking at his food and then like the occasional like when Elarath was passing around the letter, it's like look up to look at that and then go like, oh, cool, cool. And then look right back down. Yeah. Just wanted to acknowledge that there is some some elephant in that room. Yeah. And now there's like 20. But yeah, there's a lot of elephant. Since there are two sad boys and, you know, Clara is ushering them away, even though Iris is very interested in this, she kind of grabs both of them by the arm, just kind of like, you know, you're leading people away.
It's like, come on, boys, let's go. I guess. He's going to quickly reach for one more bread roll. Come on, let's go. Come on, puppies. So they're going to go meet with the dock manager. And that leaves Merrick and Tia here. So. I picture the longest silence that just like, OK, who's going to speak first? What do you say? That type of thing. Yeah. I'm going to be honest, I was kind of hoping to duck out of here and for you not to even know I was here. Kind of got that impression. Yeah. He's not going to be looking, by the way, this is all avoided gays evening for Merrick.
How's it been going? I think that's almost a life preserver where you're in an awkward conversation. It's like, oh, God, we can talk about anything else for just a moment. So it would probably be. Good. The shop's doing well and. Good. How have you been? Good. Good. I love this. This is so I feel like I've been in this. I know it's terrible. Oh, good. Got some friends. And he's going to sort of wave back the way people left. Got a quest. He's going to point at the bag of money. I don't think she would have noticed because that's not what she was looking at. But that's that's an impressive stack, like that's unless it's just filled with copper.
Where are you off to? Well, probably. I don't know, could I maybe. Different continent figured it might be a good change of pace. She'll be nodding along the entire time. Very awkward. This is horrible. This is excruciating to me doing this. But he's going to sort of try to power through it and say, yeah, so. It's friends, got some stuff to do, and we had to get a few things done here and. At the library. I'm really sorry that I'm here. And I'm sorry for everything that happened. She would already be shaking her head, no, as you're apologizing. He he's going to get frustrated, actually, and he's going to stop stop saying that it's OK.
I could have killed you. I. I had a lot of time to think about it. And I, I genuinely feel bad about how I reacted. I could have been a little more understanding. No, no, you date a werewolf. What do you expect, right? This isn't on you. This isn't on you to forgive. This isn't on you to think clearly about. You thought clearly. Whenever your life's in danger, right. You know, like this is the kind of stuff that I bring. So you're right. And even though it might not feel great, you're still right. So. Yeah. Are you still. And she's going to make a motion with her hand that's kind of like claws in the air.
Yeah. Yeah. And more. It just keeps getting worse. But, you know, I still meditate, still. Still cook, still call myself down. But, you know, I'm just a ticking time bomb. That's that's my life story, right? She's going to reach across the table and try to take Merrick by the hand. He will neutrally he will not pull it away, but he's not going to engage. Right. You don't have to be alone. You already have friends. I'm I'm assuming that I'm hoping they know. They know. But it doesn't make it any safer. It just means they're used to it. Nothing bad's happened yet, but.
But, hey, there might be good news. We're going to we're going to go to another continent or two. Might be a while. But I promise Jody, you know, Jody had researcher, right? She'll not. She's going to poke and prod when I get back for a while and see what happens. So, I don't know, maybe there's still hope one day he's going to he's going to be very like, you know, who the fuck knows kind of an attitude about it. Right. Hey, it was cured before, right? Here I am. You can tell she's she's really concerned. Well. We have some really intelligent people in the city.
And if there's anybody who can find a way to help you deal with this a little bit better, that's they're probably living here. Yeah, you're right. You're right. There's pretty much no other place in Theria. So if it's going to happen, it's going to happen here. But unfortunately, we've got a timetable, so it's going to be a while. And hopefully between now and then, I don't flip out or hurt anybody or kill all my friends or ruin the mission. You know, we'll see. He's he's just he's not having it and he's it's not it's it's it's hatred of himself. It's not anything that she's doing, but he's kind of treating it like, oh, can you stop?
Right. He's he's he's acting like he's annoyed with with whatever she's doing and saying. And it's not true. It's clearly all about him. Right. Hey. Could you do me a favor? Could you look me in the eye for a minute? It's going to it's going to take him a couple of seconds, but he's going to finally just snap his head up. OK. Yes. And you just look straight in the eyes of Tia. It is clearly incredibly hard for him to keep that gaze without breaking it. I can't imagine what it's like to live with that. I know it must be. Hearts, not even the word. But I need you to know something, because, again, I've had a lot of time to think about it.
Whatever that is in inside of you. That's not who you are, Merrick. That's that's a part of you. But it's not you. And she's going to give your hand to squeeze. The Merrick I know is incredibly caring. And thoughtful. And lovely to be around. And. Whether there's a cure or not. If. If you're willing, I think. That we could find a way to live with it. Merrick. Will he. It has become easier and easier for him to know. I'll say it the other way. The more that she says any of that, the harder it is for him to break the gaze. He's he's locked in. And. What would Merrick do?
I ask myself that every day. Yeah, that's the first thing I say in the mornings. I wake up. Usually omelette comes to mind. Yeah. I think you know what he's going to say, OK, so he's going to say. It's the only. Me, I've ever known. And I don't know what to do if it's not there when it wasn't for a little while. I was completely and utterly lost. And now that it's back, it just feels like it's in the way. But he's just going to this long, stupid pause. When we get back, you're still going to be here. Of course. So you're coming back. Now I have to come back. She'll give a smile at that.
And as ridiculous as it is, he's going to he's going to lean in for it for an honest to goodness hug. And she'll absolutely reciprocate. Honestly, he is. I mean, this I mean, everybody knows, but it truly it's like he's never felt anything that I mean, it's been forever. Like there's it's almost like you can't extract the two, but there's somebody that feels like they can understand and accept rather than just be a little bit worried about it. I think he's actually going to probably start sobbing and he's covering it up with her hair and shoulder. Like he's just going to he's thinking in the back of his head, people think we're just talking.
People think we're just talking. Right. If they see us, I'm just talking. But he's going to be like super cry. Ugly cry a little bit. Right. And so there will not be a moment's hesitation between like the hug and then just. Complete understanding of like how hard that is, like when when she was saying, you know, she she understands that you're going through something but can't understand how hard that is like that's not that's not just talk like you could tell that she's had a lot of time to think about it. And yeah, she will she will hold you absolutely tightly.
How about we catch up with this with this doc doc manager? We can agree every time you've said that I've heard doc manager doc manager. Well, that sounds like a great job. Two jobs. Amazing. Let's let's kind of speed through this. So we're not that doesn't have to be a really, really long role play thing. But essentially, what you guys are going to do is you're going to negotiate a price for a ship. And then we're going to roll to see what kind of ship you get. How does that sound? Sounds too easy. Yeah. Clara's could use her feminine wiles again. Wow, that's it.
She's really good at it, guys. We want the glittering prize, by the way, if you hear that one. That is a fine choice, actually. So the glittering prize, the glittering prize is a sailing ship, which is the same kind of ship that the Royals, the Royals have that will definitely be a much safer vessel to do intercontinental travel with especially long term. I wouldn't do that in something like a fishing ship like that, but just basically you're asking to die. So the half job is probably not. We all want the half job. We agree. Hey, we all want the half job.
I know. But. Be honest. Let's not be greedy. So here's what we're going to do. I'm are all of you speaking or all of you trying to negotiate or we actually trying with the feminine wiles thing. That was that was mostly a joke. OK, so let's do this. One, let's see who you're interacting with. One through 10. We're dealing with a man. 11 through 20. We're dealing with a woman. And then I guess there's further rules to say. So it's a man. This man happens to be gay. So that's going to be wrong tree. That's yeah. Barking up the wrong tree. Intern, go. Yeah. There you go.
Evelyn Ferris, you're up. So Iris's boob window will have no effect. Negative effect. I was going to say there's unity. Sorry. Oh, just saying, it's my opportunity and no had to be gay. Yeah. Sorry. So it's up to the two sad boys. Maybe he's into sad boys. Hold on. Yes, it could be a type that's one through 10. One through 10. He's one of those guys who wants to take care of somebody. It's like, oh, you're broken. I could fix you. So one through 10 and then 11 through 20. It's a real turn off. He's the one from taking care of. Yeah. Oh, he loves a good fixer upper.
What's wrong, baby? Like that kind of like, oh, man, we're going to. OK, boys. OK. That's a two. Yeah, it's real. He's real into it. Would would Tamlin have been would he would he have given any heads up or anything like that about the interest about his sexuality? I mean, of the information. Oh, no. I know what he likes in bed. Here you go. Just the idea that we were looking for a ship and that Merrick had sort of given the heads up and he was doing stuff about getting the royals to be delayed and that kind of thing. I'm just wondering if there would be any advantage to be gotten, but maybe not.
I'm just asking. I don't think it would. Sorry, I'm here. Sorry, I'm part of the group. I apologize. OK, well, it's about time. It's been five years. I know you're not going to. Please don't take that seriously. You're a really good friend. Yeah, I wouldn't say it's advantage, but you would know that the glittering prize is for sale and a price could be negotiated. Now, obviously, your your absolute ceiling would be fifteen thousand, but you don't want to spend fifteen thousand. So here's what we're going to do. I would. Who's going to take the reins? Firstly, who's going to negotiate a price?
Who's going to who's going to strike up a conversation? I would like to politely bow out for Alarith. She'll speak now. Now, if we're going by character, let's say we're doing the we're going the flirty route. If we're going by character, Verus and Avalon are very different looks wise. Yes. OK, so let's see who he'd be more attracted to. Let's say one through 10. It's Verus and 11 through 20. He looks some tall, dark and handsome. Oh, he like short, sad men. So, oh, wow. Same. OK, I'll see what you think about that, Jason. No, this isn't about Ryan. This is about Verus currently.
Sorry, I'm just reading the chat. Oh, also, did he share that at any point or no? He's holding on to that. He's holding on to it tight. OK, OK. I'll get to that. Hey, guys, for no reason, let's leave quickly now. So let's say Verus has taken the reins on this. OK. OK. So I would think of it as we're walking over and Clara being Clara is kind of like, all right, I know kind of the situation. You're up and just kind of gently push me forward. That's one of her feats. It's called Gaydar. So he'll he'll kind of stumble up to this person. Excuse me? And he would be very we don't have to role play the whole thing out, but he would be he'd be very receptive to Verus.
Do you do stuff with boats? Are you the right person to see? OK, I want to leave this up to Dice. I've tried to play him as he has no clue what's going on. Absolutely. So, OK. OK, I'm going to leave this up to a dice roll. One through ten. Now, this this particular person is very much a blank slate for this reason, because I thought we could have some fun. Now, on a scale of one to ten, do you ever OK. Do you ever see, like, the nice guy posts of like, I'm taking girlfriend applications, ladies getting that type of like now on a scale of let's say that's a one.
Let's say this is a real neckbeard situation. And a ten would be this. This guy's a catch, like we were like, you know, one through ten. Now that's going to affect a lot of things. Personality, the voice I decide to put on that, a lot of things. So I see. I see. Lisa's asking for a one. I just want to see it play out. OK, here we go. I love you guys, but I want it to happen. OK, middle of the road. OK, he's he's a five. He's a five. OK. Yeah, yeah, I'm the right person. What what can I get for you? Oh, well, OK, so my name is Ferris. That's kind of the group with me.
We're looking to get a sailing ship to go off continent. Hey, Lisa. Give me a letter. L. OK. Sorry, but that's what you were hoping for. No, no, no, no, no. This is Liam. Liam. And he really sorry. He'd hold his hand up. I'm Liam. Nice to meet you. Oh, nice to meet you, too. Are you new to the city? Yeah, we're kind of trying to be in a hurry, but we just stopped in for some research and stuff. We're trying to leave as early as possible. Oh, OK. OK. What can I help you with? I'm sorry. A sailing ship. I think he's going to look back to the group. Where exactly are we trying to get to?
Anyone else? Hey, Jason. Yeah. This is obvious, right? Well, OK. So if you get this packet. Essentially, here's the here's the long and short of it. You would probably you could make a straight shot there, but your end. Your destination would be Kodai. OK. Whether you choose to stop at other continents along the way is completely up to you guys. All right. Then Clara will say Kodai. OK. And he'll kind of nod his head real quick. Look back over. Kodai? Is that is that possible? Are you looking to get passage with someone or are you looking to buy a ship? He's going to look back to the group.
And just kind of mouth the words of like. What do I say? I have to make the joke, which is this reminds me so much of earlier today when El was trying to deal with all the car stuff. I think we're trying to travel. We would like a crew. If there's a crew for hire, we have funds available. So are we trying to get our own thing or can we just go on somebody else's ship? Obviously not their ship and just kind of like air quotes, but another person ship. You know what I mean? Here's the thing. Liam, are you talking to Clara? Clara. OK. None of us know how to ship.
So I disagree. I looked at the chat quite a bit. You guys know how to ship. Besides Mandy. But I don't. It might be better to travel with somebody else for the sake of not dying. Thoughts. Have a nice his head. Sounds good. Evelyn loves not dying, not killing. Go either way, but not done. All about survival. He's a panther. So Ferris would look back over to Liam. All right. So we have two options and he's gonna hold up two fingers. One, we get on with passes with somebody else, but there's a group that we don't want to be with. Anyways, option two, we get our own boat.
Is this like we end up on the boat with the royal? Option two, we can get our own boat, but we have to hire a crew because we don't do boats. So you're looking to get a ship and you don't know how to sail. No, but that's why we need a crew. OK, OK, let me do let me do some poking around and I'll see what I can dig up for you. I'll see what your options are. And you're looking to leave sooner rather than later. Now, if possible. Now, OK. Well, like a little bit. But yeah, before the night's over or tomorrow morning, something soon. He's going to he's going to lean in.
Are you in trouble? Do you you need to talk about something? So he's going to look back over to Clara just real quick, just as like, OK, it's OK. And he's going to lean in a little bit closer to Liam. No, we're we're not in trouble. We're just trying to beat somebody to go die. We need to get there faster. I need to roll a deception check because he's in the back. He looked up at that like and then the alarm went off. Not an actual alarm, but yeah. Give me some fucking deception. Let's go. Let's do it. Let's see if this turns into a vaudeville routine. Oh, that's not great.
That's an eight. Oh, man, you're not a good liar. No, not really. Yeah, Aveline was not built for deception. Oh, OK. So like you're going to look a little nervous and like, yeah. OK, so he's he's OK. OK, give me give me five minutes. And he's going to start poking through his books and ledgers and things like that. When he does that, Aveline's going to grab kind of like grab at various is a farm. He's going to ask why would he ask that? I think it's because we need something soon. That typically means that we're trying to run from something. But we're just trying to beat the royals.
So it's OK. OK. If that's the reason he steps back, if he could start whistling, he would. So as right before you start to step back, are you OK? What are you OK? Right now? Yes. Yes. Right now. Oh, honey, sweetie. There's never been a bigger red flag. So various is going to look a little confused real quick and look back over to Liam. And he's like, OK, so he's still doing stuff. Look back over to to look like over to Evelyn. Are you sure you seem off more off than you normally are? If that makes sense. It's a mean way to put it, but, you know. Well, I think I'm not off at the moment.
I don't know about earlier. Everyone just left and I kind of got lost. You could say. Oh, but you found us, so that's fine. Yes. I found a lot of things. Stairs off in space. What what happened? Where'd you go? I'm not sure I should say right now. He leans in. I think I did something bad. And so he's going to whisper back. How bad? There's just the pause in everyone's going to say. I think I need help. Bad. Oh, OK. So again, sticking with various is a go to move. He's going to move his head back a little bit and kind of like look over Evelyn real quick. Clara, can you come here?
Clara will come here. Something wrong? So I'm going to be talking to Liam, but. I think something happened with him. And he's going to point over to Evelyn. Oh, no. OK, come. She's going to like. Signal for Evelyn to follow her. And they're going to leave so that you can continue. OK. They're going to they're going to move to the side here a bit. So we got Iris, Elaraf, Evelyn, Ferus right here. Here's what I need you guys to do. What you're what you're about to do is roll some dice. That's going to dictate a lot of things for your next arc. So no pressure. This guy likes me, right?
I mean, I don't know if you like playing with the sad. Just be sad. Adam wants to help. Would Veras pick up on this? I'll roll for it. What do we need to roll? Give me an insight. OK. No. All right. There we go. So, OK. Liam's going to come back to you and he is going to present some options. Now, the glittering prize is for sale and there's a motivated seller. So that's in your favor. A crew is going to be a little difficult, but. Liam is convinced that he can give you some options. So here's what we're going to do. Let's roll for the glittering prize. Let's let's see what the stats of this boat are going to be.
So I'm going to write a couple of things down. OK. What do we need to roll for you? Oh, give me one second. Sounded threatening. No, never. People keep telling me I sound threatening. It's really disheartening. It's your tone. Just sometimes there's that tone. Yeah, stop sounding threatening. I don't know how to not do that. It's more of when you're plotting. There's an undertone of like the mwahahaha. Remember earlier when you giggled and we all went, ah, OK, yeah, don't giggle ever. Gotcha. Yep. No, no. Stop showing joy. Yeah. Yeah. OK. Gotcha. OK, let's roll for the integrity of this ship.
Let's roll for how well it's put together. How many? Basically, you're rolling to see how many hit points this ship would have. And I think various should kick us off. Give me give me a flat D 20. OK, so so far, all my roles today, even in the practice roles, has been either extremely low or extremely high. So we're going for extremely high. Yes. Oh, yes. Obviously, 20 is the best. One is the worst. Oh, oh, hmm. Hmm. That's that's a three. Yeah. OK, so that's OK. Serenity didn't look very good on Dokken. I don't know why I took fire. Now, now we're going to roll for speed.
Greasy fast speed. Uh, Elrath, give me a flat D 20. All right. Yeah. She's super fast. Oh, OK. That's a big deal. And finally, what kind of what kind of defenses does this ship have? What kind of what kind of like if you were to be under attack, does it have guns? Does it have something to cannon fight? Does it have, you know, ballista, harpoon, anything? Iris, give me flat D 20. If it has a cannon or something, Iris wants to fire just because it's cool. Come on, come on. Oh, not bad. Oh, 14. That's pretty fucking good, actually. One of these roles is not like the other.
Yeah. Someone's not pulling their weight. Sorry, guys. Now, he's not gay. Oh, no. Is Iris going to turn him with the window? I'm just saying that's Charles. I'm sorry. And that's a joke for no one. Wow. Not only is that a joke for no one, it's so of its time that won't by the time we edit this episode and post that no one will remember. Yeah, you're right. You're right. And sorry. That's OK. It's OK. It's a rare miss. I mean, it happened twice this episode, but. OK, here's what we're going to do. We're going to roll for the crew now. So I'm going to need three more rolls.
Okely-dokelies. Let's see. Well, I don't think it's fair that. That everyone doesn't have a chance to roll. So here's what we're going to do. Clara. Let's roll for the loyalty of this potential crew. OK, one to 20. Let's let's get a flat T20 roll. OK, so loyal, so loyal, guys. Ready? Hell yeah. 18. They're going to die for us. Yeah. Yeah. Jesus. Because Clara used her feminine wiles. Actually, I just rolled they're all gay men. It's the weirdest thing. Oh, it's that kind of cruise. All right. It's OK. I'll have fun. We're a bunch of seaman. Actually, you found them at a nautically themed gay bar called the Fellowship.
I need this to be canon. I had a mouth full of water and I was like, I can't emote yet. Let's see. Evelyn. Yes. Can you can you give me a T20 roll for the effectiveness of this group? Now, this isn't their experience. That's the next one. The effectiveness is like, how do they put their do they put their all into their roll? They're all into their work. 20 being the highest one being the lowest. Give me a flat T20. I hope they're lazy like a Charizard. Oh, holy shit. That's a 20. Nice. You're making me look bad, guys. You made you look bad. No one else has rolled under a 10.
Actually, they haven't rolled under a 14. Jesus. Shut up, Jason. I'm sorry. This arc isn't for you. Next arc is Varus's arc. OK, finally, Marek. Oh, I need you to roll for experience. How experienced is this crew on a scale of one to 20? All right. Here we go. 13. 13. Good lord. These are all fantastic rolls, almost all of them. So most of you did very well with their participation award. Yes, you get a pin. Yeah. With with their effectiveness and, you know, pretty good experience. Yeah. And the defenses of this ship, it should make up for the integrity. Yeah. I mean, yeah.
As long as you guys don't get hit, like you're fine. And we're fast. So it's like Sonic. We can just outrun them. Right. I'm this is just for Ryan and none of this really is true. I'm just saying this for Ryan. I don't need your pity. I don't need your three. Kidding. I'm kidding. It's going to be great. So Liam would come back and kind of lay this out. It's like, OK, well, we got a really nice ship here. He would totally underplay its sturdiness. It's like, oh, this ship is blazing fast. It's got these cannons. It's got so, man, it's I also have a crew lined up for you.
And it just so happens that they're looking for long term work. So, yeah, all of this together. Minus one thing. So, OK, let's let's let's start here. Let's do a thing. OK, so, oh, man, I could I could line this up for you today and start drawing up paperwork for 16,500. Oh, 16,000. I'm going to need to talk to my group about that. Layaway. Traditionally, in Tharia. Oh, he'll do a layaway. Oh, on the fellowship. So now only what Iris and other here. Yes. So he's going to go back to you, too. How much do we have again? I thought Merrick said 15,000. I think so. OK.
He wants over 16. Well, they always start high. You have to just keep going and you will ball him and then you beat in the middle somewhere. Something balling. I'm sorry. I actually said that, looked up and realized that it's not muted. We're a family show. OK, so I got to I could offer a low price. Yeah. Emphasize anything that maybe sounded less good about the ship. Did anything sound like it would be weak? Not really. I mean, it's pretty much a good ship, but I don't know ships. Yeah, I don't know much about them either. Question actually, out of character.
Growing up in Ebony Harbor. Is there like a some sort of like history check or something or would I just kind of have like a background in like ships and stuff? Or at least know what to look for, be like. OK, you know what we're going to do? You're going to give me a flat D10. The higher the roll, the more experience that we're at is in shipping. Oh, great. OK. I just realized something. I'm stupid. What? Ferris spent his whole life in the Brightport dock. But that doesn't mean that he necessarily knows about the quality of ships. Probably knows what ships look like.
Yeah, I mean, yeah. You know what? Give me a D10. Also might know a little bit about, you know, sailing. Ferris, you and me are in the same boat there, bud. We're not in the boat. Yeah, we're not. We're in the same shitty boat. So, OK, Elareth rolled a two out of ten. Verus rolled a one. I don't know if Verus ever opened his eyes while at work. He thought I was done. I'm so sorry, Ryan. I mean, to be fair, you clarified that you did not like it there. So it makes total sense. Yeah. Sorry, I meant clarified. Got to play into it. Always. So if only Merrick was here.
So Verus is going to like start nodding his head. OK, so go go low, like low as in like three. Like how low are we supposed to go? OK, so like you don't want to be like insulting. Right. So I feel like if he's like, I'm up here and you're like three, he'll be like, fuck out of here. That's what I would do. Be like, yeah. Eight. I mean, eight is sounds pretty a half of what he and just, you know, emphasize that we're going to take it right now. I mean, if, you know, something this big, they probably would wait a long time to find a buyer. And if they're going to get eight thousand right now, that sounds pretty good.
OK, do we have the eight thousand on us? I feel like actually Merrick has the cash purse. Merrick has the cash. But we have the cash. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's say that this is the cash exchanges hands when the paperwork signed and all that. OK. What you like pointed out, which one is it? We can see the book. Can we see it? Oh, yeah. There'd be a place to look it over. Like if you know the the like viewing things like you can definitely see the docs from here. OK, OK. I feel like you're OK. Boat over there. Give me a perception check. No, that's that's on par. This is what it looks like.
Yeah, but Lisa. Yeah, Iris. But Iris has no experience with ships. I guess so. OK, do you know? All right. And maybe I just have cars on my mind, but you know, like when a guy clearly knows nothing about cars, but he wants you to think he knows something about cars. And it's part of his masculinity to know something. So he's like, yeah, yeah. The alternator feel like that's both Alarith and Varus right now because they both come from like seafaring areas. So they're like, yeah, yeah. That bow looks really sturdy. And then fucking Iris is in the back like that looks like shit.
There's a hole there. Why is it made out of cardboard? How did you get cardboard in our current sociopolitical climate? So Iris with the only score worth it. Yeah. How much is she able to see about some of this? I mean, geez. Is it duct taped together? No, it's not that. You know what? Okay. I think what we need to do is let's roll a flat detent to see if Iris would be able to take what she's seeing and interpret that into a state of quality. Because, I mean, I don't know that much about cars. So looking like if a car is like, let's say polished up, I wouldn't know what to look at under the hood to, you know what I mean?
A little bit about cars, not a lot of bit. So give me a flat detent. All right. Detent. Lovely. That was almost a ten. I saw it. But it was a four at the end of the day. So it's better than me and Riot. I would say Iris is looking at this breadth of ships and it's one of the larger ones. So that's pretty cool. It's not like a keel boat or like a little fishing ship or something. It's like, oh, that big one. Oh, okay. Like it's, it's, it's... Looks good. Okay. So, yeah, she's just kind of peering through the view, just like, oh, yeah, that is a ship and it is very large.
Okay. Yeah, I guess that does look like it would be worth several thousand. So, but yeah, I would say eight thousand is, you know, half of what he said. It can't be too insulting of an offer, right? I don't know. Go with eight thousand. Eight thousand. All right. I got to start playing this game. Do you want us to follow you to, or do you think you got a, you know, conversation going on? I got it from here. I got it. I can do this. You can do it. And she's going to crack his fingers real quick. Head side to side to crack his neck and he's going to turn over and start walking over towards Liam.
Okay. And as soon as he gets over there, he's, he's going to do what he's seen in Brightport probably several times. He's going to get over to Liam and... No, not stab him. Not, not quite. I think something probably close to as shady, instantly put his arm around him and like kind of lean in. All right. Oh, he's listening. Unfortunately, I can't do the 16. We got to be able to live off of some of that. We got to still get rations and supplies. And the boat looks a little scrappy. What about eight? Okay. Ryan. Yeah. No, no, no. Listen, listen. This is where I put my arm around you.
Great. And I say this, this is where you redeem yourself because I want you to give me a persuasion check. Okay. All right. I could, I could, I could do this. I'm about as confident as Varys right now. Let's do it. Oh man. I'm done. Can he get advantage for putting the arm around him in a sexy manner? You know what? I... How sexy is it? Oh, it's like super sexy. Super sexy. Give me a description, Ryan. So it's the whole thing. So he's probably arm around him full and then foreheads touching, leaned in so close that you're just gently whispering in his ear. Okay. This entire thing.
Okay. Locking eyes. Is this your first day in Umenyara? I can't remember. I believe so. Yeah. Okay. So you guys have been on the road for a bit. Do me a favor. Roll for Varys' smell. Oh, come on. Give me a flat. Give me a flat d10. Anything above a five and I'm going to give you advantage for this roll. Maybe he's into that. Like let's... Nope. Okay. A little smelly. So it's like, okay. Some guys like Musk. I mean, look. Okay. You know what? Let's see if he's into that. One through 10 he's into Musk. 11 through 20. Really reaching here. Oh, Jesus. He likes him smelly. Oh man.
He likes him sad, short and smelly is what he likes. Okay. That three just became a 17. That's a one. Varys do me a favor. I'm going to give you advantage on that. I'm giving you every five. Give me one more persuasion check and you rolled a four for everyone at home. Okay. Ryan's not having a good dice night everyone. No, not at all. All right. Let me get that sweet plus one. And okay. That's a 12. Okay. So, okay. He's gonna sniff just for a second. But like he's in a... Sorry. That was just for the reaction. He doesn't do that. It was way too far. I'm sorry. Sorry. He's going to...
Eight's a little low. Can you... Hmm. See what he would try in return. Okay. Can you do 12? I got to pay the crew with this too. I'm kind of brokering for them. Okay. This is a great crew by the way. Yeah, but... With the way that that boat looks, I'm afraid it's gonna like fall apart halfway over. And then that's paperwork. You don't want paperwork, do you? Well, I mean, does that mean you'd come back and we talk about it? Because... Oh, if we all die out there. No, I won't come back. Oh. Well, look. I assure you, this is one of the best ships that we have in port right now.
It's blazingly fast. There's a tremendous crew. If anything did happen out there, you have experts on hand that could repair that. Do you... I mean, can you really put a price on the hard working crew that's going to be doing everything in their power to make sure you reach your destination and get back in one piece? I don't know. Can you? He would blink. All right, look. I'm new here. I've kind of lived in Brightport all my life. All right. We're trying to... Tell me three other things about... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Look, I'm new in town. We're trying to beat another group.
We were given some money to be able to do all of this, but I got to buy supplies and go on over to a whole new continent. We don't even know what we're getting into. How about 10? I want to roll for something, but I don't know if this is too far. I need a group vote. With the recent things that have happened on Twitter, I'm inspired. Should I roll to see if Liam is a scumbag? Sure, it happens. Why not? Okay. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most scummy and 1 being not scummy at all, would Liam try to take advantage of this situation and try to do a casting couch thing?
No, he would not. He would not. I love you, Liam. Because he has integrity. Integrity. Yeah. I can say for your ship. Great. Thanks. Do me a favor. Give me a persuasion check. You said 10, right? Yeah. Okay. There we go. Ooh, baby. Nice. That's a 19 for everybody at home. Okay. Can you do 10, 5? Looks down real quick. Yeah, why not? Should be able to get stuff with that. He'd hold out his hand to shake. So, I pictured his dominant arm actually over his shoulder. So, he's going to do one of those awkward left hand to left hand shakes. I almost said a reach around, but that's not what that is.
I wasn't going that far, but... Sorry, I just... I was like, "Oh, you're going to reach around?" It's like, "Nope, wait, nope." Nope. He's going to leave his arm around his shoulder and then just do the left hand to left hand shake. Gotcha. Okay. Yeah. That's... Yeah. You just bought yourself a ship. I'll start the paperwork. Let the crew know. Awesome. Thank you. And it's already late at night, right? Oh, yeah. Or getting later in the day? Yeah, yeah. This will be ready by early morning. First dawn. Amazing. All right. We'll be by with everything tomorrow morning. First thing.
Hey, let's catch up with Clara and Avalon. Okay. I will leave it to you. Okay. So how would this start? I feel like right off the bat, Clara probably noticed something was off about Avalon since they first got to the city and probably wrote it off as crowds. So the first thing she's going to do is put her hand on his shoulder and try to make eye contact. She's like, "Hey, what's wrong?" And he's been predominantly looking down. He's going to finally look up. He's going to look around and see there's no one really around to listen in. And he's going to say, "I think I made a mistake, Clara." How does he look right now?
Scared. Like, I say, like, worried, like you forgot something, but you have no idea where it is. Like you lost the phone or something. That kind of worried. Like noticeably not okay. Like not doing a good job hiding it. Okay. So she's going to give his shoulder a little squeeze. "Hey, hey, it's all right. I know everything's really scary in town and stuff for you. And we're going to be leaving soon." What happened? He's going to get all antsy and he's going to say, "I think it's better if I just show you. Just you for right now." Oh no. Yeah, let's return to the scene of the crime.
Clara would like nod, "Okay." Cause it's kind of that placating like, "Yeah, whatever you need. Yeah, let's go." She's going to lead her back to Darius's research laboratory. Okay. Are you kicking in the door? Well, first off, I want to try to like, do I just like kick it? Like just, is there no way I can reach under the door and try to get the key? You know what? We're rolling dice for everything else. On a scale of one to 10, how far did you slide that key under? Let's see. Pretty far. Oh, fuck. That's a seven. Uh, Aveline's gonna mess with the door and like look under it and see it's pretty far and just try to wiggle it some more.
And um, he's going to ask, ask Clara, "Do you have any way to open this door?" I had the key, but I... Clara's gonna look nervous because as far as she's concerned, you're just trying to break into a stranger's house right now. Um, whose house is this? Somebody named Darius, but he's not here anymore. He's in there, but not here. It'd be more of an insight check at this point. OK. Oh, no, I have a good insight check. Oh, Jesus, that's a 19. OK, Jason, I need you to tell me with a 19, how much did I just pick up? Is it a thing where I know it's like I know in my bones what happened with a 19?
With a 19? Yeah, there'd be very... Or at least what he's getting at. I mean, you've known Aveline enough to know that something's truly wrong at this point. Right. And every, all the context Clucy's giving you, it's, you'd know with a 19. You saw him with the fishes. He had an accident. He's more digging with the termites, I think, because he's in a closet. He's in a trunk. I don't know why I picked your closet this whole time. That's more dignified. No, you're right. Well, no, he I actually preferred trunk because closet implies when we open the door, so just kind of tumble out, at least in a trunk, you got the dignity of opening it up.
And there he is, you know, he's not going to fall forward. Aveline went into great detail to talk about how he folded the old man up. Put him in the prop and came up. Put him next to the toilet, if I remember correctly. Yep. I'm just used to too many Friday the 13th scares involving closets. I'd rather trunk. That's fair. That's fair. So Clara's eyes are going to go wide. Aveline, what happened? And she's going to take his hand and move him away from the door. He's going to he's just going to look down and say, I got lost. I was asking people for directions and I ended up being taken by this old man named Darius.
And he took me to this building right here. And he heard me, Clara. He strapped me in this chair and experimented on me. I thought I was going to die and I, I lost it. Oh my God. And she looks pale as a sheet because she has gray skin. So like she goes white. Oh, God. I'm so sorry. I didn't know what to do. So I tried to hide him. I think I need your help. Shit. That was in character. Okay. Okay. Okay. What did you do with his body? I panicked, Clara. I didn't know what to do. So I just, I tried to hide him. I put him in a trunk. I folded his body after I snapped his neck with my bare hands.
Okay. Okay. Okay. I want you to go find Merrick. Okay. Evelyn nods. Bring him back here and we'll, we'll talk it out when you come back. Okay. Nods again. He looks ashamed. Evelyn. It's all right. It's going to be all right. Okay. I don't know about that, Clara. I do. And she's going to reach out and take his hand and give it a little squeeze. I'm sorry. So sorry. We shouldn't have left you alone. It's going to be okay. Go get Merrick. He nods one more time and he tries to leave down the steps quietly, not like, not arousing attention. And he looks for Merrick, even though it might be hard to find him because he's terrible at navigating the city.
He'll try his best. Yeah, you're going to find Merrick a little while later and I'm guessing you're bringing him back? Yes. While they're gone, Clara is going to kind of look at windows and see if there's a non-violent means of entering the house. She doesn't know how to lockpick or anything, so that's right out. But like. Nope. Okay. I rolled for it, everybody at home, that was a 6. So she's just going to wait near the alley that she had taken Aveline to in the first place, a little bit away from the house. Okay, everyone, I'd say 15, 20 minutes later, arrives back at Darius's old place.
Hey, Merrick, how you doing? Merrick's going to be visibly a little bit lighter, you know, he's going to have a load off. Oh, honey. But probably look exhausted. It's been a long day. Okay, so what's... Okay, so there's the dock and the ship, but what's this? What's going on? Clara's going to look very serious and a little nervous, and she's going to kind of hesitate for a second. We have a problem. And she'll probably tell Merrick a very short version of the story that Aveline told her. He was alone, an old man came, he hurt him. And now he's dead in that house.
I mean, Merrick's going to definitely have a like holy mackerel, don't even know how to think about this moment. Okay, hang on. So let me get something straight. You killed somebody today? He's kind of whispering a little bit. Just let me get this. You killed a person? I did, Merrick. They strangled a man with my bare hands. And I don't know what to do. Okay, okay, no, I got you. I got you. I hear you. Merrick's also realizing, it's so clear that it's not like Aveline was going off looking for trouble. It's because we left Aveline alone. So the guilt is like, is parental in that sense, you know, like, okay, this is ultimately my fault, even though...
Clara feels the exact same way. That's why she had him go get you, because it's like, we should have been the ones. Yeah. Okay, okay, this isn't good. Can I, I kind of think that going from feeling pretty good about things to this and like, it's like moments away from everything sort of being solidified to like, you know, move on to the next phase of life. And this could jeopardize everything. I kind of think I need to do a d4. I kind of think that's fair. Okay, okay, guys, this is okay. This is okay. I mean, I mean, this is it's not so much just the addition of points when it comes to the stress.
It's also like the changing of gears, right? Like, yeah, like, this is great. I'm enjoying this game of chess. We're playing. Oh, there's a fireball coming at me. That's a big. Oh, this is bad. That's a four, so we're going to shave four points off. It's appropriate. Okay. Are we allowed to know how many points are left or is that a secret on the DMs side? It's a secret on the DMs side. It's a game of hot or colder. At this point, though, Maric, you are very, very stressed. Okay. Sorry, it was just it. Yeah, I kind of I don't see how I could get away with it. Not the not the d4.
Oh, hey, I appreciate integrity. That's the name of the game. Well, all right, so Maric is going to he's just going to he's going to I'm doing I'm actually doing this right now, like pinching the top of of of his nose, closing his eyes and just thinking and he's going to hold up his hand like like just nobody say anything for just a second. Just he's going to try to, you know, get his bearings for a moment. So he's not going to flip out. And he just wants everybody just please don't move. Nobody do anything. It's going to be a super long pause. It's going to be like, are we supposed to say something is what probably somebody would be thinking.
Maric's going to say, OK. OK. Did anybody see you? I don't know, Maric. I don't think so. I I'm going to say that they didn't because Uminiro is not the kind of place that lets things like that happen. If they knew it, you would already be in the in the basement of Uminiro in a prison. We probably all would. OK. So I think nobody's nobody's aware of this. And if that's the case and he's going to point at the door, I don't think anybody's going to be aware of this anytime soon. That said, this is not OK. We we can't just kill somebody and then leave, especially whenever we're trying to make some alliances and friendships.
But so this is Maric's totally like he's playing it all out. Right. He's doing the equation and speaking it out loud. So he's looking at Khara, he's running it past Khara. OK. This was not OK. But they need to know about this. Somebody needs to know that this happened. But it's our fault that this happened to him. And he's pointing at Aveline. It's not his fault for being put in a position that he had to defend himself. But right now, we don't have time for a trial. So let's leave. But I'm going to leave word that we heard some noises and that you might want to check on whatever address this is.
We're doing a good deed, right? We're letting somebody know. And he's going to look at Khara and he's going to look at Aveline and he's just going to be like, that's all I got. And he's visibly probably shaking a little bit as he's dealing with his. His stress. Merrick, I'm really sorry. This is all my fault. It's really not. Did you go looking for trouble? I had no idea what he was going to do. I thought it was the spa. I thought he was leading me to the spa. Merrick's really he's like super compassion right now. Like poor Aveline. So I think that would actually like the I was going I thought I was going to the spa.
Khara's going to remember that she gave him the spa tickets and told him to bring them to you and go to the spa. And that's when she's probably going to end up like actually crying. Like she'll bury her face in her hands to try to not let them see. But OK, buddy, this is something that we're going to we're not going to forget it. We're not going to pretend it didn't happen eventually. But right now, I don't think it's going to do anybody any good for us to open up this can of worms. And he's he's struggling because he's like, ah, this is not the right thing to do.
But it's. OK, this. OK, that's it, Khara, we are going to deal with this when we get back and Aveline, that might mean that you need to come clean when we get back. It may mean when we get back that it will have blown over a little bit or maybe we'll think of something to make it not so big of a deal. But America, I mean, he's he's fucking like he's at his last thread and a way to think. When you start getting frustrated, Aveline is going to put his hand on your shoulder and he's going to say, Merrick, I think I understand how you feel to tell you the truth.
I think I had an option. I could have ran out the door and ran away. But when he was zapping me with that rod and he held me in that chair, I felt stuck. I felt out of control. But when I broke free with my own strength, I snapped. I was so angry about everything. I finally understand. I've been holding everything in. And I just don't belong. When I got on top of him and snapped his neck, I felt free. Is that how you feel? It's going to be a very long pause and Merrick's going to. He's really going to be looking into Aveline's eyes and see the struggle. And he's going to put each of his hands on Aveline's shoulders, squared up to Aveline.
And he's going to say, Yeah, yeah, that's it. You get it. It's going to be OK. It's going to be OK, Aveline. And he's going to look over at Clara just to gauge at all. How can how Clara is feeling? Clara looks like she's about to throw up. She looks shaky and small and guilty. But she's going to nod. Merrick's right. We need to go. Aveline nods as well. It's like this this silent pact that's been formed. Man, I mean, Merrick is thinking about all of the things that this jeopardizes. And it's not just the royals and the ship. It's Tia. It's his relationship with Uminiro and Jodie and everything.
So that's why he feels responsible and feels like he should be doing the right thing. But he also feels like he I don't think there's any other way to handle it other than just to just fingers in ears. La la la la la la la. And just move on for now and punt on it. I don't think you would know what else to do. So I think it would be very easy to convince Clara to just basically it's a thing where she's looking for someone to follow. Merrick gave her a reason to run away and she's going to like grab onto that. And she's probably going to try to lead the way away from the house.
Like doesn't even matter if it means a longer walk in the long run. She's not going past that house again. Yep. This feels gross. If only we could get some good news about the speed and workmanship of our crew for this coming ship. Yeah. Merrick's just going to make the comment. Yeah. Merrick's going to walk back and just I mean as long as the ship's got a lot of integrity I think we'll be okay. Uh huh. Vlas is a very sturdy ship with a lot of like ship hit points I think. We'll be okay. You twisted that knife there. Ship points. Here's what we're going to do.
Hey, can I ask what that 12 was? Huh? That 12. Could I ask? Oh, oh, yeah. I was just rolling to see if anyone would see you guys talking in that alley near that house. That's all. And? Oh, I rolled a 12. That's what that was. To 12 people. I refer back. Okay. I wonder what they're doing at old man Darius's house. Just a little check on him. I love that guy. Me too. I love how crazy he is. He straps people down against their will and tortures them. Oh, that's just a goof. He never really hurts anybody. Except for when he does. He does charity work, by the way. And that's the only reason Clara was conflicted in the first place and didn't go, we need to tell it because it's like, he tied you down and did what?
Fuck this city. Like, yeah. Yeah. Here's what I want to do. Already too fucking high. And now we got this shit to deal with. I want, um, I'm imagining we're all getting back together and everyone's going to get caught up, not the avalanche thing. I'm imagining that's something for Clara and Merrick. I don't know if they would share that. Yeah, I think that would be the understanding. The understanding is just, we're like, well, that's our secret for now. Clara, we're all together. Silent pack nod. Yes. Which makes us accomplices. Marist has a way that he wants to bring up, uh, the success of getting the boat and the crew to Merrick.
So his plan is, is as soon as like the group gets together, he's not going to say anything until they get into like kind of a private ish space. And then he's going to pull the, pull a card out and basically look Merrick dead in the eye and start to talk whenever that is. Cool. Yeah. Miracle reciprocate. Okay. So he's going to look you dead in the eyes and start to say something then, then stop. Okay. I have to say something and I need you to just let me talk for a minute and then you can say whatever it is you want to say. Okay. Merrick will just nod and roll a d4.
We all agreed to work together. All you have to do is just say that you want to do something and we all have your back. I have your back. But for goodness sake, I was able to get us a boat and a crew with that. I mean, granted, it's, it's with the money that you were able to get us, but I was able to talk them down by 5,000 gold. That's that's more money than I've ever seen. And this proves that I can contribute to the group and I shouldn't be lied to. I need to be treated the same way as everyone else here. I, I refuse to be called the intern anymore. You can talk.
Uh, Merrick, Merrick's going to sort of bow his head and take a big, big side. This is a lot of shit's been going on for the last little bit for him. Um, and this is one of the, one of the key things, honestly, that needed to be sort of dealt with. So he's going to let it out. He's going to lean close, not uncomfortably and weird close, but he's going to lean towards Varis and say, I didn't mean to lie to you. I got caught up in my own bullshit, but it ended up being that I was lying to you in the process and I didn't realize it. You were never an intern and you will never be an intern.
And it's not because of the 5,000 gold. It's because you are as deserving of respect as anyone in this group and anywhere. So first I'm sorry and I will never ever lie to you again. And second, you are Varis, just Varis. He's going to start to tear up at that, um, and probably let down a couple of tears near the end of what you were saying. He's going to give a little smile when you say that he's just Varis. Okay. So that's it. That's that. That's all I have to say. No, that's not all you have to say. If you're not an intern and you're not, and if you are a part of this group and you are, and you are as important as any of us and you are, then what do we do next?
It's your call. You tell us. Mine? Why is it my call? Because somebody's going to make a decision. Somebody's going to tell us what to do. And now it's yours. Okay. And he's going to start like going through a checklist in his head. We need rooms. We need rooms for the night. And then we've got to come back in the morning and speak to Liam. And then we sign the paperwork, we hand over the gold. We get to our boat and we go. Okay. Well, what can I do to help? I can, I can go talk to Tamlin. I can get some rooms. Okay. So why don't we all go? Miracle just nod. He's he's truly being as different as he can be.
Like just you tell me what to do and I'll follow your lead because you've been probably pushed around a little bit and you've probably been made to feel a little bit like you need to follow everybody else. And that's not the way it is. So go for it. That's his, that's his whole attitude right now. Uh, and before like the camera pans out, um, and we start to walk out, he's gonna put a hand on your shoulder and then just go ahead and bring you in for a hug and then just say thank you. Honestly, at the way this day has gone, he's, Merrick's gonna give a super great hug as best as he can.
And he's going to start crying a little bit too. He's not going to be sobbing like he was earlier, but it's just going to be like, you know, the sinuses and eyes watering and everything. And he's gonna, and he's going to say, I never meant to underestimate you, but I underestimated you. And he's just going to squeeze real hard. I think it's my height. A lot of people do that. Try to make some sort of awkward joke about it. Yeah. Okay. So, uh, hug release and camera pans out. Okay. I think there's one last thing for us to do. And that is fast forward to the 11th of Alta Orn.
And all of you are packing up your things on this, uh, on the ship, the glittering prize. Where crew is going to greet you with a little salute as you, as you board, get things going. And there are a couple of things that, uh, are to be desired. Um, I would imagine there's a, there's a point where like you're, you're throwing your bags on bunks and stuff like that. And maybe something falls off the wall or, you know, you're, you're noticing there's little, little tears here and there or, or something like that. But that's nothing a few hammer swings can't fix.
And if there's anything else you guys want to do. I do want to make it canon before Clara left this city that she wrote a letter to go back to. Probably two letters to go back to, um, her human home and one letter to go back to the underworld. Okay. Um, I'll probably write one of them later. Anybody else? Yeah. And Ferris would, would stop by at the same time and drop a letter off to his father. Okay. And Iris will also as well send a letter to her family and to her, her buddies. Uh, techno buddies. I don't know. Church there. Like, what do they call the group of the, uh, religion?
Yeah. The maniacs, I believe is the term. Hell yeah. Uh, Elrath would probably write a letter, but it's more like a note that was just like, like, dear Jock flail. Awesome. Go on to Kodai. See you soon. And then a drawing of a middle finger, like a really crude drawing. That's like, is that a stick? You'd be like, what is that? I don't have fingers. Um, last, last thing for me. Um, in that time after talking with Tia and before Adalyn got him, he's going to do two things. Merrick is going to make sure that he gets, he's just going to quickly, wherever the paper store is like, you know, the like, like supplies for stationary and things like that.
He's going to get a, just a really nice piece of parchment. Um, and like a really nice quill pen of some sort, just something he can write like a really nice note. Um, and, uh, and he's going to actually, he's going to get two pieces of parchment to do that with, um, on, well, okay, let me skip to the next one. The next thing is he's going to get a really nice bottle of something. Um, and we'll, we can figure it out later, but it's something as, as he and Tia are leaving, he's like, Hey, I want to grab something before we go. He's just going to get a really nice bottle to be able to take onto the ship for the group.
Um, and before he leaves in the morning and before Tia opens up the shop with one of those pieces of parchment, um, he's going to tack onto the door of her shop. He's just going to, he's just going to write without even putting his name. He's just going to put be right back. And he's going to roll up and be very careful with that other parchment because that's a note that he's going to leave the Royals. I'm guessing that Elorath is binding herself to the enforcer. Oh yes, please. Okay. I will go ahead and, uh, drop that in the chat and it is now on your personal.
Shut up. Okay. Is the note for the Royals going to be dropped off with their ship? Oh no, that's a note that he's going to leave whenever he finds the gate. Nice. As you guys pull up anchor and you start your journey to go die, I think that's a good time for us to stop for the arc. Oh, it's absolutely beautiful. I would, I would imagine this, you guys are waking up early. You're sailors now. So you're waking up with the sun. So as that, that gorgeous orange orb is on the horizon, your crew is busy puttering around, making sure that everything is in order.
They're raising the sail. They're there. They're getting everything in check for you guys to make haste out to sea. And I wish you guys all the luck in the world and I can't wait to pick things up in arc three. Congratulations. We did it. So great. Poor Evelyn. I know. Brings my heart. The start of something new. It'd be interesting. Dude, I, I, I loved that. I loved everything with Merrick. I loved the stuff with Varys. That's actually a character arc that I didn't know was a character arc at the time. That's strong. Get a few practice swings. Yeah. Ooh, what's that?
