Thank you very much and hope you enjoy this session. - All right, let's go around the table and do that thing where we introduce ourselves. I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master going around the table starting with Merlin. - Hi, I'm Merlin. I play Gavin Dearborn, the warlord that's also a human. Yeah. - And Izzy. - Hi, I'm Izzy and I play Una the half-elf Pardon. - And Kat. - Hi, I'm Kat Charlie and I play Fi the Changeling Thief. - And Scott. - Hi, I'm Scott and I play Marcus Santa the Human Cleric and everything is awesome.
- And Bri. - Hi there, I'm Brianna and I'm going to be playing Judzia Grace the Human, our Pact Warlock. - That song has been stuck in my head now for 24 hours. Jamie Lee, if you're listening, thank you so much. And everyone should get a chance to listen to that. That is so awesome. I know we posted on the fan page and it's on the site too. Actually, I put it on the site, so it's on the sidebar. So yeah, please check that out. Last time on the show, lots of stuff happened actually. Okay, with the help of Fi and Una, Brianna faked her death and escaped the city of Overwatch.
Now that was before about two hours of you guys trying to come up with a plan to get her out of the city, only to have Marcus and Judzia pretty much negate that as soon as they left the room and talking Gavin into, well, Gavin and Fi were there, but talking them into going and telling Commander Grace all about this and putting a stop to it. - The alternative was a bloodbath. - Pretty much, yes. I believe Marcus's plan was just to pelt her with arrows in the hallway with the guards and try and kill her before she goes off nuclear. Now, thankfully for Una and Fi, you guys avoided that and she got out of the city safely.
You guys are tasked with a mission to head into the thick forest of the Evergreen and find the Titan Elite unit that was taken out over a week ago. It'd be almost two weeks ago, actually. Now, you're tasked with making sure no one else can use it and that is by rigging explosives to it and making sure that it is so screwed up and decimated that no one could ever get any use out of it. Probably not even for parts. Before we do that, though, let's say we pick up with you guys that evening. Due to the circumstances, they're going to send you out on that mission the next day.
So how long would you say it takes Una to leave the city and head to the cemetery and then come back? - I would say a couple hours, maybe two or three hours, 'cause clearly she's gonna dig a grave or at least make it look like a grave's been dug and filled in, so there's like a grave. But yeah, I'd say around three hours then. I don't know how long it takes to dig a grave, no doubt on that. - All right, so let's pick up with you guys in the evening. So you'd be, the way this is set up is you guys kind of have, you're just in a regular bunk with soldiers for the most part.
Now, you've been sequestered by yourselves, so you have your own private little section of it, but you all pretty much bunk together. Is there anything you'd like to chat about before we get started? - I think for a while there, Gavin would be kind of like out on his bunk with his long sword out across his lap and just sort of meditating and all shirtless and awesome. Then eventually he's going to pick up his sword. I'm going out to the training yard. I'll see you guys in a bit. - Thought you were gonna say he's pick up his sword and stabs Marcus. (laughing) - He will follow him out into the training yard if he has no objections.
- Okay, I assume Una would probably just be sitting, I mean, not Una, someone else. I assume that Sia would just be sitting on her bed, like crisscross, just thinking for a while. And then she'll look up at Una and say, "I'm sorry the girl died." - Okay, Una's just gonna kind of stare at the wall, like she's been just silent and sitting there the whole time and she'll just kind of like eyes over at Jadzia, just kind of like sigh and nod ever so slightly and just go back to staring at the wall. - Where's Marcus? - Well, I'm assuming he's still in the barracks.
- So just kind of-- - Just being quiet and watching what's going on. - Okay. - All right, if that scene is gonna stay that way, then Jadzia does wanna go talk to Thi alone, so maybe she could stop in the hallway real quick. - Yeah, okay dokie. - All right, so she's gonna check first to make sure there's no one around. And then she's-- - Yeah, no one's there. - Yeah, and then she's gonna ask very pointedly, but also very straight, did you free the scion? - I didn't free her. - You wanted to let her go. - I did. - Almost as much as Ura did. - I wanted to protect the city.
- I only believe you because she killed you and because you've been nothing but good to us. You've given more than any soldier can be expected to give and then some, and that's the only reason I'm giving you this chance. You need to understand that. - Okay, thank you. - You aren't human and I can't be certain you can be trusted anymore. So I'm going to be keeping a very, very close eye on you. And if I see one more flinch of loyalty, I'll put you down like you put down those drought children. Do you understand me? - I understand, but my loyalty is with the Overwatch and my team.
- Good, and then she's gonna back off a little bit and say, your race is called a changeling and you might wanna look that up. - Have you said anything to anyone else regarding my race? - I have not, I wanted you to know first. - Thank you, I appreciate that. - Okay, in the training yard, is there anything you guys wanna discuss just between Gavin and Fee? - Yeah, I'd probably bring up the new information that Judsy has just given me. Has Gavin already started his training drills for the night when I get there? - Oh yeah, yeah, he's already laid into that.
That's probably why the way he marched off and you probably got taken into the corner by Judsy as it were. - Fair enough, I sit and watch him for a while and then I go, hey Gavin, I've got some more information on my predicament that might be useful. - Oh, all right, go ahead. - As I was following you out here, Judsy spoke to me, she said that apparently my race is something called a changeling. Does this ring any bells? - That information, can I make a roll? - Yes, you can, history. - Excellent, history. Looks like I got a 23. - 23, yes, that absolutely rings a bell.
In Gavin's many studies, he's come across changelings again, not a very, you don't know of exactly how many changelings there would be. They don't exactly have a home city, they're very secretive by nature. There are some changelings that just think they're human their entire lives, they can go their entire lives and not even know that they're changelings. So yes, you have definitely heard of them. - Figure Gavin's mind's a lot like a puzzle box, he needs the right word combinations in order to unlock things. Otherwise stuff just gets stored in there and it's like, it may never come back up.
But yeah, exactly. Oh, okay, no, that makes a lot of sense actually. - Yeah? - Yeah, and as I understand, you should have very few limitations with your abilities. I understand your mass has to stay approximately the same and you don't take on any sort of specialized qualities of whatever you're pretending to be, hence why the act and all that good stuff. I'm sure you probably know your own physiology better than I do. - Okay, what do you mean by abilities? - Oh, such as, hmm, how to put it. Well, for example, the dwarven races, for example, if you decide to attempt to turn yourself into a dwarf, per se, just the loosest point there, you won't necessarily have their kind of innate senses of abilities underground and their ability to smith incredibly well.
And then the other things that dwarves are known for. So, you know, or like elves, you're quite dexterous, but it's not because of any kind of transformation you're doing with your body. At least from what I remember in my studies, that's what they went into. - Oh, okay. - So anything else, Jadzia say? Kind of crosses his arms. - It sounds like I'm on my last chance with her at the moment, I think. - Interesting. - But I mean, I don't plan to do anything, but at the same time, I never did plan to do anything, but I obviously have done. - That whole thing was a very ugly situation.
I think we saw sides that, well, I think we just went through a major crucible and hopefully we'll be better for it. - I hope so. - Anything else? Oh, go ahead, man. - How's about we do this? - Question. - Yes. - Can I pull Marcus aside really quick when Jadzia leaves the room? - Sure. - We're the only ones in the room, so. - Yeah. - So a lot of things need to be addressed, maybe. Okay. So Luna's gonna just kind of sling herself out of bed, like really slow, deliberately, and just kind of walk over to wherever Marcus is sitting/standing. We need to fucking talk.
So that thing back there where you screwed me and Fi over and almost caused me to die. You gonna apologize for that or anything? - No, I see no reason to it. There was a plan to keep both of you safe. - Okay, look, I promised her no more harm would come to her. And then you did this thing where you were going to cause harm to come to her. So if I promise her, am I explaining this to a child, Marcus, God damn it. If I promise her something, I can't break that promise. And I will die if I have to keep it. That's how vows and shit work. - I understand that, but your plan to take her out of this town would never have worked.
For one, you are asking myself and Jadzia to put her father's neck on the line by having Fi, who as I recall, just learned the other day that he was a changeling and could shift shapes. He's never done it before. He told us that. And now you want me to believe that he's gonna be able to pull off Commander Grace perfectly. And if he does, then Commander Grace is going to be hung, which means putting him and innocent to death to let an enemy out. That is the first and foremost problem I have with this situation. And if your God cord tells you it's okay to let an innocent die for your sins and for your blame, then I want nothing to do with your God.
- You need to understand, Marcus, I don't give two shits about if the plan would have worked or if it hadn't. I offered to take the entire burden upon myself. I don't care if I ended up dead. I couldn't care less. What I do care about is that you didn't respect the promise that I made. And if you can't respect the vows that I make to people, then I can't trust you. - Una, let me ask you something then. How did you keep your vow when you killed her? - Oh shit. - I was waiting for this. - I'm just gonna haul off and punch him. - Okay. (laughing) Seriously, you're gonna punch him in the face?
- Yeah, yeah, just big old- - No, you didn't say it right. You guys say, "Fuck it, yeah." - Oh, you did? - Okay, fuck it, yeah. (laughing) - Okay, roll. Okay, jeez, okay, roll an attack. - No, no. - Jason, she doesn't need a roll attack. I'm not going to defend myself against it. - Oh, awesome. - She needs to hit me, let her do it. - Okay. - Roll for damage? - Yeah, I guess just a flat one, one D six, just yeah. - Somebody just wanna roll it for me while I'm doing this whole table thing. - Well, Jason did. - Whoa, whoa, whoa. - Well, that's not- (laughing) - Was it a six?
- It was a one. (laughing) - Oh, yeah, no, roll again. - Okay, yeah, this one's for all the marbles. Now I know what I'm doing. - Yeah, oh, okay. - Okay, whatever it is, two, here we are. - Oh, come on, Jason. - I'm sorry, I failed. - Rolling shitty damage for me. - I failed you, Kord was not in that roll, I'm sorry. - Okay, yeah, what's, so I guess, Uneas is gonna like haul off and just, I don't know, uppercut, roundhouse, is that a kick? I don't know what fighting are. - Okay, hold on. - Uppercut, I guess. - So maybe your temper got the best of you and you kind of lost your balance when you threw a punch.
- Yeah, sure. - Well, she's got a history of not being able to swing very well at people who are sitting down, so. - True, this is true, actually. - Is he sitting down? Oh, that's sad. - No, yeah, I'm sitting down, you didn't, I was just sitting there. - Well, okay, yeah, what's your reaction to getting uppercutted, uppercat? - Uppercat, yes, that is the past tense of- - You know, I need a moment to collect my thoughts and my teeth, I guess, but, do you feel better now? - Nope, gonna do it again. - Can I explain the rest of this? - No, gonna punch him again.
- Seriously? - Yeah. - Okay, you want me to roll again for you? - Yes, please. - Three. - Oh, God, okay, he's not that bad, I guess. - So you put a little more into it this time. - Yeah, yeah. - So describe this to me, okay, okay, describe this to me. So you're talking to Marcus and he kind of paints you into a corner, so you punch him. - Yeah. - Then he goes to speak again, okay, can I explain, and you hit him again. - I'm gonna say no, and I'm gonna hit him again. - Okay, and Marcus's reaction to this is what? - That's two, are we gonna talk, or do you need to pound me into a pulp to make yourself feel better about killing her?
- Pulp sounds good, pulp sounds really, really good, but I'm gonna like clench your fist and kind of hold it up, but kind of force it down. - All right, I'm gonna wipe the little blood on my mouth off, look at Una and say, "Una, I have told you, and I have told Gavin in the past, "he is my commander in the field, "I will follow him in combat until I cannot move anymore. "That will not change, he is going to be "an outstanding commander once he realizes "how good he really is. "You are the muscle in this group. "You will destroy our opponents when we are in battle.
"I, being raised where I am, have been trained "to see a much larger picture. "I am not better than anybody in this group, "but I see things from more angles than everybody "when I'm not having a fist in my face. "I knew the plans we came up with were not going to work. "I tried convincing everybody that it wasn't going to work, "and when it didn't work, and it wouldn't have worked, "I had to come up with something that would either "save you and Fi from walking out of there "and being killed by her, 'cause I don't believe "for an instant she would have let you guys go.
"And I would not allow Jadzia's father "to take the blame for this. "I knew those troops were out there. "They were waiting for us. "I brought them to us. "I also knew that Fi was going to go in there "and tell you what I did. "He had a soft spot as well for her. "I don't know why she had killed him once before. "But knowing that was going to happen, "I had faith that the two of you would figure out a way "to get her out of here. "I detest the idea that she was let loose. "It burns me, but I did not want to see her killed either. "That was not going to be my call.
"So I put everything in motion to take the one chance "that we had that you could get her out, "because walking out of there with her, "walking beside you was never going to work. "Now, if you feel the need to continue punching me, "so be it, but that will not change the fact "that she is now dead, and there is nothing I can do "to bring her back. "And for that, I am sorry that your word was broken." - Okay. Una's gonna kinda like look down, look back up, glaring the whole time, and just kinda like heave a sigh. I understand where you're coming from.
You just, you have no idea how terrifying it is to be in that position where you realize that the people who you depend upon in battle and in everyday life have just fucked you over. It's terrifying, and I try and be brave, but honestly, few things have scared me as much as that. I have to know that you aren't gonna do that again. Or I can't be around you. - If there was any way I could have let you know what was going to happen without letting her know, I would have. I don't believe in keeping my teammates in the dark. They need to know everything that is possible.
But there are also going to be times when I see something that could happen that I can't share with everybody because it could tip somebody off. She heard all the plans we had. She didn't like most of them, but we came up with what we could. I didn't agree with letting her go. I'm not gonna hide that, but there is no way I would put you in direct danger. We knew what was going to happen. You were to take her out when she stepped out. Fi was supposed to pull you back, and that was when the attack would happen. - I understand what you're saying does make sense.
You know I like to think with my fists most of the time, but you need to promise me. You need to make a vow that you're not gonna let something like that happen again. You're not going to put me in the position of being betrayed, or any of us. I don't consider what I did a betrayal. - I don't care what you think it was. The fact that Fi and I felt it as betrayal makes it a betrayal. - I'm sorry at this point. I can't do that. My first honor and first loyalty is to the Overwatch, and I will do whatever is needed to keep this town safe. - So be it, and Una will just turn on her heel and just storm out to go find Fi.
- All right, let's pick up the next day. Now, you guys of course have a mission, and even though yesterday sucked, you are expected to do your best to accomplish that goal. Now, you have a few options here about how you'd like to accomplish this. Now, before we get to that, there is a letter waiting for, well, this would be delivered to Gavin, but he's expected to kind of read it to everyone. So let me share this with you guys. So Gavin, if you'd like to give that a read real quick. - Certainly. This letter is to let you know of three things. Item the first, there will be a full-scale investigation launched into the events of the Brianna, Elbomare's death.
Elbomare, sorry. We will find the person or persons responsible for unlocking her shackles, and they will be punished to the fullest extent. Whoa. Blink, yeah, look up. Okay. - Look over at Fi, kind of worried. - Item the second, after some careful thought, I have decided that while you are members of the Overwatch army, you're also a league of your own. You take on special risks, and as such, you deserve special privileges. From this point on, you'll be known as the Crimson Shield. You will exclusively report to myself if Captain Timbolt is unavailable.
Hmm, look up, yeah, it's got a nice ring to it. Back to the thing. Item the third, there will be a new member of your team very soon. She should arrive in the city within the next three days. I will talk to you about this personally when the time comes. It will no doubt be an adjustment. - So this is gonna come with a couple of, this is gonna come with a couple of other perks, but we'll get to that the next time we sit down. - Sure. - Commander Grace will be briefing you on that. But yeah, you guys, you've proven yourselves enough to stay in the unit that you're in, and you've definitely accomplished everything that they've asked you to do so far.
So that's gonna come with some perks. You guys going out and risking your lives in these awful, dangerous missions, you know, comes with a steak dinner or two here and there. Now, onto the choices you have. You've been given the roundabout whereabouts of the last known location of this experimental unit, the Titan Elite. Now, there are three ways you could choose to get there. Each one of them kind of have their inherent pros and cons. So let me run these down and you guys get to make a decision. Now, option one is that you can avoid the forest for as long as possible, head off the main road, and then kind of circle around this small patch of mountains and then just head into the forest from there.
Now, the pros to that are you're going to avoid the attention of the people in the forest for as long as possible. The cons are that there are some fairly deadly creatures that have been known to hang out near those mountains. Option two is you can just plow straight through the forest and follow the path of destruction left by that Titan. Now, the pros to this is it's an easy-to-follow trail, you won't get lost, and that'll be the quickest way to the site. The cons will be that you, it's no doubt going to be teeming with elves and ravens, most likely.
And then there's option three. Option three is you just stick to the thick wooded area and try to find your way to the site that way and avoid the main path that the Titan carved through this forest. Now, the pros are you'll be a little harder to spot that way. The cons are it's going to slow down travel greatly and it may make finding the Titan a bit harder. So I'll leave you guys to discuss which option you like. - Can I roll a history check on the mountains to see if we know what's up there? - Sure can. - 10. - There's snow up there. - I heard there's mountains.
- There's some mountains. - Rock. - These mountains are made of rock, they are. - You definitely know that there's some dangerous stuff up there, you just can't quite remember what would be up there. But you know that's a dangerous avenue to travel. But you would definitely avoid the ravens and elves for as long as possible doing it that way. - Is anyone here skilled in woodcraft? I'm afraid I'm not as good with nature studies. - I am not either. - Yeah, would any of you be good at tracking through the forest? Any of you have a high nature check? - No plus four but.
- Because no studies just wisdom right? - We're not very natural people. - No, no you're city folk. You are definitely city folk. I'm looking at your stats. (laughing) - Yeah. - That makes me thinking number three is not so good. We're just gonna end up getting really lost. - That is a possibility. - I think Marcus has the highest nature, that's all it is. - That's scary for a farm boy. - You stayed on the farm, you didn't leave the farm. - Pretty much. - There's dirt and you can grow things in it. - And I'll tell you not to step in the cow pies. - Aw, that's a little bit sad though because someone in his family went into the forest and that he avoided it after that.
I just wanted to make it really sad for everyone. - Thank you. - You're welcome, consider it. - Okay. - So what option you guys feeling, one, two or three? - We rolled out three. So it's either weapons or something. - And I'm sure Jadzia would have shared that there's scary stuff in the mountains. All right, so given that. - Following the trail would probably be the best even though it does mean possibly running into elves and other unsavory types. But it does allow us to actually find the unit, which has gotta be the top priority. - Right, we're not really ones for stealth.
They'll likely see us coming a mile away regardless of what we do. So let's at least give ourselves every advantage to find this thing. - You mean as we river dance across the forest with our great stealth and acrobatics? - Bright red outfits. - Well one of you has. Yeah, you are the red coats, aren't you? So you've decided to go with option number two and you're just going to. So okay, so here's what we're gonna do. Trekking into the woods. You are going to go past, you're gonna go past an army camp, an Overwatch army camp to be specific. And a lot of what these guys are doing is digging trenches and it looks like they're setting up for something big.
Part of that is also chopping down trees and they're going, I mean, this is a lot of grunt work. This is awful, hot, nasty work. Unless you guys wanna stop and investigate the camp, you would be traveling right past them and into the forest proper. - Is there somebody who might have a name that sounds like Po in the trenches maybe? - You mean like Bo or? (laughing) - Sounds like him. - There would be actually, yes. This is known as a punishment duty or this is something you either get when you're first starting out and you're just looking to break in or this is something they deliberately send you on to punish you.
This is not desirable work. This is like clearing out bodies and digging graves and yeah, this is not great work. And considering that there was a massive battle lost, not that long ago here, yeah, they're still trying to get their clear cutting operation back up and on track. Would you maybe perhaps like to stop and speak to Po? - You know, I would. - Okay. - I don't know. It seems like the forgive and forget kind of person. - She does. She's pretty loosey goosey with things. So you guys are, this is about where you would have to get off your wagon anyway because this is where like thick, the thick woods are going.
Unless you want to, I mean, you could travel in the path of the, where the Titan went on wagon if you like. But we'll discuss that in a second. So traveling through this camp, it doesn't take too long to spot Po and he's kind of waist deep in this trench just sweating his ass off digging. How would you like to approach him? - Okay, I'm just gonna storm right up and like grab him by like the back of his neck and drag him out of the trench. - Okay. Do me a favor. - Sorry to interrupt. I was gonna say, I was gonna kind of distract. I imagine Sergeant Baker's around here.
Is that correct? - He is, yeah. He would be floating around. - I'll go say hi to him to kind of make sure that Una has her private time. - Let's see though. Okay, so you're gonna attempt to drag him physically out of this hole. - Yes. - Do me a favor and make an athletics check. - Oh, okay. That's not my best thing. 19, holy shit. - You drag him out of this hole. He starts immediately panicking and shitting himself because you kind of come up from behind out of nowhere and just all of a sudden he's, oh, he's just being yanked out of this, out of the hole. And he drops his shovel and he starts kind of like clawing at the ground trying to get his bearings and he whips around and sees Una.
Oh shit. Hey Una. - You little shit. And I'm gonna punch him. - Okay, okay. Roll an attack. Yep, just minus your weapon modifier. - Nine. (laughing) Come on Una, this is story time. Don't fuck it up. - Put your gauntlets on. (laughing) - So Una goes to take a swing at Po and Po manages to dodge out of the way and he's still on, he's still kind of on his ass like trying to scoot back away from Una at this point. Okay, okay. Hold on, let me explain. Una, Una, let me explain. - You better motherfucking explain right now and I'm gonna take another fucking swing at him.
(laughing) You said, wow. At least he's consistent I guess. (laughing) - So he's just like ducking and weaving. He does not want any of you. Like he doesn't want any of this. Okay, okay, okay. Do you remember when I was talking to the bar? - Yes. - I'm gonna admit, I'm envious, okay. I just, I kinda wanna get what you guys got and I found out through, okay, it's not important. I found out that what you guys have been doing and the girl and I kind of offered my services. The commander was looking for somebody and I mean, come on, who doesn't want that? Who doesn't want what you guys got?
- Oh man, okay. I'm just gonna kick him or punch him or whatever. - So you're gonna take a third swing at him? - Yeah, 11. - 11. Okay, that's closer but still not quite enough. So this entire time he's explaining and you're just like taking swings at him and he's... (laughing) It's kind of funnier that you're not hitting him. - Yeah, yeah. - Jesus, Una, come on, come on. Look, don't be greedy, okay? You guys got a sweet thing. I don't wanna mess up what you got. I just, I was trying to get some information out of her. I figured if I can get the commander something, then he maybe even add me to your team.
I didn't know she was gonna be so mouthy. It wasn't my fault. I mean, I just figured eventually she'd crack. - Okay, can I grab him and pull him close to me or do I have to make an attack for that? - Oh, that's strength versus reflex. So yeah, so that's just an attack with your strength mod. So basically make an attack again. - Okay. - But that'll be versus his reflex. So that'll be a bit. - Strength plus three. Okay, 14. - That will just hit his reflex actually, okay. - Oh God. That would be so pathetic if I'm reaching out for him and just grab thin air, okay.
Who's gonna grab the vice caller and pull him nose to nose and just say, "You don't fucking understand. This isn't about greed. This isn't about me being jealous that you're moving in on our territory. This is about you hurting a girl who I had vowed to protect." - Wait, we don't hit enemies now? Is that what you're pissed about? - We don't hit people under our own protection and I'll touch him. - Okay, since you're grabbing him, add a plus two to the attack. - 22. - There we go. Okay, you hook him real good. And he's gonna, okay. There's a bit of blood kind of forming next to his lip and his head just kind of snaps to the side and he, fuck, Una, come on.
- I'll just begin. - Okay. - 20. - And you will catch him again. Again, head snaps to the side. Do me a favor, roll 2d6. That'll be what the damage will give him. - 10, oh. - Okay, oh, okay. So that's 10 damage. That's, so you've done a significant amount to him. Considering he's not even wearing armor or anything really right now. Yeah, his head's gonna snap back. Look, just come on. I don't want any trouble, okay? You made your point. I don't know why you're protecting the enemy, but fine, okay, it's over. Grace was pissed off at me and he put me out here. That's probably my last shot to prove myself anyway.
You got your way. - Look, oh, I didn't want to come to this, but you did inflict pain upon somebody who I promised we wouldn't cause any more pain. So fuck you, I'm gonna hit him again. Okay, do I still get the plus two? - Yeah, you're still grabbing him. - Yes, oh, set, oh, crit, miss. - That is a crit one. Okay, this time Una goes to swing and he manages to kind of wriggle away before you swing. So you just kind of like, it's an off-balance throw and he kind of like scrambles around to your side. Look, I don't know why you're fucking so upset. You're acting crazy.
The bottom line is we were supposed to get information out of her. Didn't you hit the shit out of her? That's what I was told. - Yeah, I did and then I healed her. What the fuck information did you get out of her? - Okay, look, I'm new, okay? A couple more sessions with her. I could have got something really good. - A couple more sessions with her and you would have fucking killed her. You should only take one session, you stupid little shit. I'm gonna do it again, the punching thing. - I would imagine. - 13. Good God, this is retarded, this is unbelievable.
(laughing) Maybe you're getting all of your bad rolls out of the way so that later, okay, you're gonna throw another punch. You're just gonna throw another punch and miss. At this point, he's going to try and flee, just run into the woods. I would imagine Gavin is doing a pretty decent job of distracting Sergeant Baker, who is pretty much just on ditch digging duty. He'll look up from a book every once in a while and make sure, I'm still digging? All right, cool. Like he's not, there's a reason he's Sergeant Baker and like he's never been elevated past the position that he's in.
He's not a go-getter. - Just to think of like boss hog kind of thing, you know? - Yep. - Yeah, yep. Just yeah, he basically looks over a chain gang. That's, but no one's trying to escape. Well, except now actually. Are you going to give chase? - Me? - Yes. - Oh, hell yes. I'm just gonna run after him, "You fucking coward, get back here." - Now let me ask the rest of the party, you're watching this, correct? - Yes. - Is anyone, I mean, at a certain point, are you going to chase after her? Are you just kind of like, yep, that's Una. And you're just letting her do what she's gonna do?
- I think that feels good. - I've been punched enough by her today, I'll watch somebody else get it. - Okay. Do me a favor and make an athletics roll. (laughing) - This is just fucking plastic, good God. (laughing) - So that's an eight. Po is going to run into the woods and just try and ditch you the best he can. And he's got a heavy lead. He's just going to just, the entire time, he's like, "Stop, just fucking stop, okay? I get it." And he's just like running. And just like tree branches or smack him in the face. And he's just running blindly into the forest.
Like doing that thing where you're looking more behind you to see if the person chasing you has caught up yet. I will give you one more chance. You can roll an acrobatics and try and leap at him to catch an ankle. - Acrobatics minus three. (laughing) - Again, this is- - Can I do athletics? - Well for our hero. - You can pick either or, but the acrobatics check, if you pass that, you're going to trip him up. The athletics one, you're basically just trying to catch. You're just trying to close the gap and run. - Oh shit, okay. You know what, let's make this extra slapstick and I'll just, I'll roll the negative free skill.
Let's do that. - Okay. - For the sake of story and Una being a shit. - And again, this is- - Hey, 15. - Oh! - Damn. - So Una kind of leaps forward and you just barely managed to catch his ankle and you trip him up and he falls flat on his face in this tiny little clearing, just past the tree line. And at this point he's just clawing, like he's using his hands to claw forward. He's trying to get away so desperately, like he's kicking. He's kicking back at you, he's like, "Get the fuck off!" And he's just trying to get away, like doing anything he can. - Okay.
- Actually, you know what? He's going to attack you. He's going to try and kick you in the face. - Bring it, bring it, little bitch. - 23! - Yes, that's gonna hit, but whatever. (laughing) - This is so dumb. Okay, he's gonna do four damage to you. - Oh, yes. - So he's going to kick you in the face and he is, oh wow. He's getting out of hand. Okay, what would Una like to do here? - Okay, she's just gonna like, her head's gonna like jerk back a little bit from being kicked in the fucking face. And then she's just gonna like look up and just grin. And let's see, I don't really want to kill him.
- Now you can use your hammer. - Yeah, that's what I was thinking I was gonna do. - Okay. - Okay, man, my basic attack with the Craig hammer. I'm just like pulling it out from behind her back, and just like, "Oh, motherfucker." - He's shitting himself at this point. Like now you're not trying to just beat him up. - Oh. - I guess I could do that for like, intimidation, like things kind of like smash it down next to his head, maybe. - Okay, so okay. Now at this point, it looks like you're trying to murder him. He's not wearing armor. He's just in pretty much the requisition clothes you get.
That's like ditch digging stuff. They're not gonna make you wear full armor while, and this is back away from like the battlefield in the forest anyway. So at this point, it looks like you're trying to club him to death with your giant fucking hammer. And to describe the Craig hammer to someone, it's not like a sledgehammer. What it is is, it's more of a dwarven hammer. So it's all hammer on one side. And then the opposite side pretty much acts like a big claw hammer. Like the other side is a hook that's used to pry and hook things and generally gouge.
So see, so okay. You swing at him and you miss, but it just thump. It makes this awful thump in like the soft grass of this forest. Just like it just lands like a ton of bricks next to him. He's shitting himself trying to get away doing anything he can. So what he's gonna do. - I was gonna say at this point, I'm gonna look at Vy and Jadze and say, do you think it's about time we step in here? She might kill him accidentally. - Nobody say anything. - Okay. - I'm not being able for that. - Wow, this group is morally ambiguous at best. Okay. - Well, I'm assuming that how far away did they run?
Cause she had to chase him. So it's going to take me some time to get there. - It's not, they're not like miles away. They're, you can still see them. Like it's just, they're, this is getting out of hand where she walked over to kind of quote unquote, talk to him. And then now it's like, he made a break for the tree line. She caught up to him almost immediately, but they're, they're, they're, they would be out of sight of supervision at this point. You guys are the only ones who could see them. - Does Gavin hear the yakety sack stuff going on yet? - I would, at a certain point, you'd hear some kind of commotion.
Yeah. But again, they're not like, I would imagine right at the, right at the part where Una jumps in full armor at somebody and then clamors on the ground. Like I would imagine you'd start hearing something. Yeah. You'd, you'd hear like some commotion. - Wow. Okay. The question is what I really, I guess that must have been pretty major. If, if even Gavin could pick up on it. That's how I figured I'd start hearing, you know, yakety sacks going, something goofy is going on, but you know, no, but crunch like. - I'm going to start running towards them. I need to stop her from killing him.
Okay. - As I start noticing that hammer swing around. Oh, that's bad. Just a moment, Sergeant. I got to go attend to something. - And again, he's barely paying attention. - Yep. Mm-hmm. - Okay. At this point, Po, he doesn't feel like running is going to do it anymore. So he's going to try and flat out tackle Una, just to try and get the, let's make an athletics check. Just to try and get the, just try and stop you from swinging the hammer. 17, I guess it'd be versus your fortitude. - Oh shit. It's 15. - Okay. So, oh God. So he is going to tackle you to the ground.
Just like waste first, just like run and just try and like, just like fucking knock it off. How would you like to retaliate? You probably got one more thing in you before the group gets to you and tries to pry you off of him. - Okay. - Feel free to be as creative as you like. - Okay. I'd like to like bring my knee up as hard as and fast as I can and try and knee him in the jaw. - Okay. You are wearing armor. Go ahead and roll it. D 20 plus six. Let's let's count it like that. - Fucking crit miss. What? What? God damn it. This is. - That's what you get for beating up a priest.
(laughing) - This is not going well. - So stupid. I'm so angry at the tie thrower right now. - Arathas is looking down right now and going, ha ha. So yeah, this is not working out well. And you're going to miss him with your knee. And he is going to try and punch you in the jaw. 10. He's going to miss and plant his fist in the ground. And you hear this crack as he does it. Because there is, there's kind of rocks scattered throughout in the dirt. Just kind of like a field would have. And it would appear as though he punched one of them. - Ha, it's hard. - And he recoils hard.
Fuck. And he just kind of like, he stops. He disengages with you immediately. Just kind of falls back and he's holding his hand. I would imagine that part Gavin and Marcus would have gotten there. - Yep. I'm open. - Now, are you trying to physically restrain Una is the question. Cause I don't know if she's going to stop otherwise. - Yeah. That's where Gavin is going. He's stronger. - Hmm. - You grab her. I will grab him and we'll just pull them apart. How's that? - That makes sense. - Okay. Okay. So make a, go ahead and try and grab Una there, Gavin. - All right. - Okay.
Now he'll just do it unless Una is going to resist. Let me put it that way. - Oh, she's resisting. - Okay. - She's all of the resist. - Then we have a problem. (laughing) - So this is athletics? - Yeah. This is, let me see strength versus reflex. - Strength versus reflex. - Oh crap. - Okay. That's D 20 plus four. Let me pop that in right now. - Big old tanky Una's reflex is crazy high. So be careful. - Okay. 17. - 17 will do it. So how are you restraining her? - I'm going to end up trying to slip up and well, like first off initially facing her, then bring my right arm up underneath her left arm, kind of put her in a half Nelson, then swing around back behind her in a, you know, in a.
- Full Nelson? - Yeah, basically. Yeah. Fully moving from flowing from a half Nelson to a full Nelson. - Merlin wrestled in high school. So yeah, that's Marcus. You're going to, you're going to try and restrain Po. - Yeah. I'm going to get between the two of them and just kind of, cause Po just smashed his hand into the ground. So he should be easy to at least knock over. - Here's the thing. Po's going to make it look like he's resisting. He's not resisting you at all. - Okay. I didn't figure it back. - Exactly. He's doing the hold me back. And as you're, as you're kind of standing in the way, he's going to shout.
You look at your friends got here. - Shut up or I'll let her loose. - Oh my God. (laughing) - Okay. Can I like thrash against you? I like just, just try and get loose and gathered like with all of my strength. - Yes, you can actually. You're, I'll, I'll, you can try this one more time. So this is going to be, you can either use acrobatics or athletics. It's up to you to try and escape. - I can't do like wind fury assault and just like. - No. - Okay. - Carry Gavin with you and. - I would do it. - I will hit Poe with Gavin. - Okay. Athletics. Come on, please. 19. - That'll be versus Gavin's reflex.
- That's actually too better than my reflex. - Oh my God. - Yes. Yes. - This continues. So you break away from Gavin and you do what? - Okay. I'm going to sprint up to Poe. I'm going to grab the broken hand and squeeze as hard as I can. And then right after that, lay on hands. - So he goes wide-eyed when you escape and he's just, he, Oh God. And okay. Before this, Marcus, are you doing anything to stop her? - No. Cause I grabbed him. So I'm assuming Gavin had her. So I was going to grab him and hold him back. - Right. I didn't know if you were trying to jump in the way or just try to, you know.
Okay. - No. If she grabs his hand, she'd be able to get to him. Cause I'm just picturing I'm in between them, like a body in between them. - Right. Okay. So you, God, you're going to grab his hand and just squeeze. He's going to piss himself, literally. The pain is so intense that he was going to urinate. - Oh God. - So he's going, it's like, he just, and he drops down to his knees. Like he is just like intense pain. And then you're going to heal him right after that. Correct? - Yeah. Like I, like I want to like squeeze the hand. So it's just excruciating pain and then heal it so that it's no longer broken or whatnot.
- And he, okay. He's going to let out a noise that kind of sounds like, like, just kind of like, just like complete, just, just give up, like done. It's like saying mercy without saying mercy. And, and then you're okay. After you heal him, you, you like, so his bones aren't broken, but he's definitely still in pain a bit. So he's just kind of like, like, if you let his hand go, he's going to like pull back and just kind of like, just kind of like fall over in the fetal position and just like nurse it. - Okay. Yeah. I'll let him go and just be like, we studied at the same temple, you fucking coward.
And just spit on the ground and walk away. - Okay. Wow. Okay. That was something. - Yay. - Let's, let's, let's, let's do this everyone. (sighs) You have been traveling through, through the woods now for a while and you are taking a very deliberate path. Now there are other things in the forest, of course, besides, besides the white Ravens and the elves. There's, there's lots of things actually. Do me a favor and everyone roll a perception check. - 18. - 22. - Okay. - I think Sia doesn't realize we're in the forest. (laughs) - I got a rock. (laughs) - I got a 16, surprising.
- Oh, Gavin saw more than me? What? - I think Fi was pointing it out to you, Gavin. - Well, please. - Hey, look at this. These make air. The, okay, you guys rolled a perception check and Fi was the only one who is going to hear the following. I'm creeping into this, the path you're following kind of trails off into a clearing of woods. And then it's, it's, it kind of tapers off. And on the other side, you can see where the path kind of starts up again. Fi kind of hears a sound that is vaguely reminiscent of a hiss and a growl at the same time. - Snake bears.
- Snake bears. Everywhere in the trees there, you're completely surrounded. Now, creeping out of the tree line, I would imagine Fi kind of halts. Everyone's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Creeping out of the tree line are a pack of drakes. So we're just going to add those to the table right now. And let's add their leader. - Hulk Drake. - Yep, there he is. - Oh, shitaronis. - That's our first large token. Well, besides the Hulk Zombie. - Well, that doesn't count, that was practice. Yeah, so everyone roll initiative. - Yep, we're not on the initiative.
- That's just awful. - My first good roll. - There we go. - Oh. - Well, at least the pack leader goes last. I mean, not last last, but. - Yeah, yeah, so that's, ooh, okay. - Awesome. - So these drakes are going to just go on the offensive. It seems as if they were trying to ambush you and Fi was aware enough to kind of spot it before it happened. So let's. - Thank you. - I'm going to go ahead and move up two, please. I'm going to go ahead and pop my power since we rolled the battlefront shift. - Oh, okay. - So I put you in a little bit better position. - Cool, cool, thank you very much.
- Oona, get closer to that big thing that wants to kill us. - Yeah. - Please and thank you. - Drake number one is going to sidle right up next to Oona, who has conveniently moved just close enough. - Thanks, Gavin. - Thanks, Gavin. (laughing) - So helpful. - And he is going, he's going to use his claw attack and that will miss. That sucked. Next up is Drake number two, who's going to do the same thing, guys. He's going to do the same thing. Weird. - Bully. - Wait, wait, wait. And he's also going to use his claw attack. - Cool. - That will also miss. All right, good start.
Good start, Drakes. - Number four, one, two, three. That'll be the end of his turn. Oona, your turn. - Okay. Let's do, I guess Ardent Strike on number one. - Okay. - So let's see, attack. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how to use this. - Oh, there you go. And that's a hit. - Oh, lovely. Okay. Damage. Okay, click it and then do damage. It's the first time we've used the new damage system. - Yeah, and then just, there you go. Perfect. Four damage. All right. Is that all you want to do? - I need to interrupt here for just a brief moment, sorry. You're the Kraghammer.
Since you rolled a one, you actually get to re-roll the die damage again because you have to take at least a three. - Break yeah. - That's right, you got brutal too. - Okay, let's try this again. - So fucking awesome. - Una will not accept low damage. - Nine. - So let me, it's more like it. - You. - I love that, sexy. - Jason, you'll probably have to take her original four off of it. - All right, already done. - Awesome, cool. - Already done, sir. I don't want you guys getting an unfair advantage. We can't have that. I know you guys don't want the cheap win. - Okay with that.
- No, no, you'd hate yourself in the morning. I'm trying to save you for that. - Jason, our party gave away most of its gold. We have to take the cheap things now. - Divine, there's gonna be a divine challenge on Drake number one. - All right, Drake number three. He's gonna charge four of six and that'll be the end of his turn. Jadzia. - All right, I am going to move down one, maybe two, I'll move down two. - So we hide behind Gavin. - I'm gonna warlock curse number two there and then I'll do Eldritch Blast. Choose targets, I did choose the target. Okay. - Oh, you have to click on them and then yeah.
- And then roll each individually. How do I roll it? Sorry. - There's a little, when you click on your target, there'll be a little tiny pop-up above them and then you just roll a little dice. - I didn't see that, there we go. - That'll miss, sadly. - Darn. Okay, I'm done. - Okay. Drake pack leader's turn. Oh wow, he can move a bunch. He is going to square off with Una. - Cool. - Whatevs. And he's going to rear back his head, mouth agape and then strike forward and try and bite Una. - Ow, fuck. - And that'll, wow, okay. - Crit miss. - Crit miss. - Bites his tongue and goes, ow, ow, ow, guys, ow.
Ow, ow. Marcus, your turn. - All right, Gavin, do I Astral Seal or do I step up to something more? - I think at this point, Astral Sealing are the pack leader would, you know, it's going to debuff it. I'm going to go after that one next. - Okay. - Astral Seal is, I need to know the range. Range five, one, two, three, four. I will Astral Seal on pack leader. And roll. And I will miss. I don't think anybody can hit anybody with anything today. - Yeah. - All right, I'm done. - All right, Fee, your turn. - Oh, get over here. - Please hit someone. - Okay, so, oh crap, I can't even use that.
Okay, okay, I'm going to use unbalance and trick. Shift two squares, one, two. And the next time you hit an enemy with a melee basic attack, you knock it prone. So melee basic attack. - That would be a hit. - And damage five. - And you knock it prone, correct? - Yes. - So the Drake pack leader is now prone. (Gavin laughs) And he kind of lets loose this horrible kind of shriek. Is that it? - Yes, that's everything. - Gavin, your turn. - All right, I'm going to go ahead and move forward. Let's see, you got Drake number two there. Spaces, I can move our five. Trying to figure this out, sorry.
One, two, three, four, five. Okay, so I can move right that way. And that's the way I'll go. So avoiding, oops. So I move up here and avoid opportunity attacks. And then I'm going to use lead the attack. It's my daily. I'm attempting to smash the Drake pack leader, which now is down and giving me another plus two bonus to attack and let's hope that we get a hit. Half damage on a miss. So at the very least we've got something. Oh, and I should add a two to that as well. I'm sorry, a 14. And then I also throw in my heroic effort for a total of 18 to strike. - Versus AC?
- Yes. - That is going to miss. - Christ. - Let me see, is there anything else I can be doing at this point? I don't believe so. Lead the attack is now used. All right, my turn is done. - That sucks. Drake number one is going to use shifting strike and he is going to shift one square. - Sorry to interrupt actually, I forgot I do half damage on a miss. - Oh yeah, go ahead. Yeah, yeah, yeah. - Okay. Looks like I got a, well then it means 10 points of damage. The other benefit of that attack is any ally within five squares now gets a plus one bonus to attack that target until the end of my next turn.
- Sweet. - So that's awesome. Yeah, shifting strike against Fi. - Is that the one you marked, Una? - Yep. - It is. - Nine damage. - So nine damage to that Drake. Drake number one. And that's, shifting strike is going to miss Fi. That'll bring up Drake number two, who is also going to use shifting strike, which will be a plus two because now he's flanking with pack leader. - Pack leader is prone. - Oh shit, that's right. Damn. Hmm. - Ha, and it wasn't Merlin that caught it. Very good. - Still hits anyway. - Okay. - So let's see here. Damage, 16 damage. - Okay, that's fun.
- So Una is now bloodied. Drake number four, gonna sidle up right next to Gavin and use his claw attack. Oh shit. 30 will hit. - I'd like to use vengeance as mine, please. - Okay. - All right. I'm gonna go ahead and take a, just take a SWAT item. Let's see, that's melee basic. I roll on number four. Looks like I'm gonna miss. Let's see the other effect of that ability is one enemy that's within five squares can move their speed and make a melee basic against the triggering enemy. - One ally, you mean? - Yes. - I was wondering if I was gonna allow an enemy to hit us, but.
- Well, I think I'm gonna go and forego that. I just tried to get an extra SWAT on him. It looks like it missed and I'm gonna take, that was a critical hit. No, it wasn't a critical hit. Thank goodness. - Not quite, it was one off. - Almost a crit. - Oh, shit. - That's still a good amount of damage. - It's gonna do one point off max damage anyway. That, wow, that old bloody Gavin. This could go south quick, guys. Ona's turn. - Okay. Let's go. Okay, good. Okay, yeah. - If you swing at the Drake leader, at least he's prone. You get a plus two for that. - And a plus one for my effect, so you get a net plus three bonus to strike.
- Okay, cool. Yeah, let's do Valorous Smite on pack leader. - Pack leader, yeah. - Oh, do you also wanna pop your strength bonus thing just in case you do land it? Your-- - Divine Strength? - Yeah, Divine Strength. - Yeah, that gives me like, what, plus three extra damage? - Yes. - Okay, yeah, I'll pop that too. Let me just click the thingies, let that do things that are cool. Okay, attack. And then I get a plus something else. - Plus three. - Wow, I just moved that. That's not what I wanted to do. - Yeah. - Oh, fucking, that was horrible. It was terrible. - And you rolled a three.
- Okay. - I said you get a plus three, not roll a three. - Go ahead. - That's a 12, that is not gonna do it, I'm sorry. Do you wanna do anything? You have your action points still, yeah. - Um, yeah. No, I'll just end my turn. - Okay. Drake number three is going to kind of scamper on up to Fi here and use his claw attack. And that'll hit. And damage 16. - Sheesh. - Yeah, actually, nevermind. Sorry Fi, I'm not gonna take the damage for you this time. (laughing) That would put me down a little too low. - That's entirely understandable. - That'll bring Fi down to 17 hit points and Jadzia's turn.
I will use war blockers against the pack leader. And then I will do hellfire touch, I'll pop that. And then frigid darkness against him. I get a plus three, right? 'Cause Gavin plus, he's prone. Yes! - Okay, that will totally hit. - Finally, all right. And then what do I roll? And that's plus six, but I also get the next creature hit with an attack before the end of this turn takes five extra fire necrotic damage from that attack. So that's how much it'll take. 29. - Wow. - Nice. - And I get to push it back five square. There we go. - That works really well 'cause it's still prone, so.
- Yeah, and it's going to take an ongoing five fire damage and necrotic, if that matters. - You are awesome. - Excellent job. - I'm just glad it hits the-- - And that's a new effect too. - Luna, remember when I said you were our heavy hitter? I think I need to revise that statement. - Is it time for an action point? - Well, that's what I was saying. You get a bonus if you hit it, you get a bonus of the next thing you hit during this turn. Are you popping an action point and trying it again? - Oh no, that was because of the fire touch. - Right. - So that was, it took the five damage.
Oh, you're right. If I did pop an action point, I'd still get an extra five against that, but I'm not gonna do that. - Okay, I was just, okay, cool, cool. That'll bring up the pack leader, who is quite bewildered. He is going to stand up, hmm. Yeah, he's gonna stand up as his move action. Well now, hell. Uh, hmm. I'm going to, okay, he's gonna move. - Stood up? - Yeah, but I mean, instead of attacking, he can move. - Oh, okay. - Gotta let me fight back here a little bit, Scott. (laughing) - Are you kidding? - Let's see here. One, two, three, he's gonna move. - Okay.
You know what, that'll be it for him. Marcus, go ahead. - All right, do you, is 10 gonna be enough for you, Una? 'Cause otherwise I can pop a healing ward on you. - I think 10, 10 will be plenty. - Okay, in that case, I will step up here to flank him and hit him with a healing strike. And I will miss, but I'm gonna get to pop a healing surge. - Cool. - You're welcome. - Because you get to spend healing surge, I believe you do still get the benefits of pacifism, so roll another D6 and add three more hit points to that. - Oh. - Well, shit. - It's still a really strong choice, yeah.
- Have another four healing points then, or hit points then. - Thank you. Feeling pretty good. - All right, and I'm done. - I'm gonna use unbalance and trick again, so I can shift two squares. Two. - Oh, shit. - Yeah, this might be a stupid move. - Okay, sorry. - If you're going stupid, go backstab, man. - Yeah. - Once you go stupid, you never go backstab? - Oh, that is gonna miss. - Cody fucking shit. - We've had more crit misses today than I think we've had in any three episodes. - Yeah. What? Jason, what did you do? - Is Tyler rolling our dice? - I'm missing two, guys, so don't.
- All right, so you've used one, but you still have another one because of your level up, so no worries. - No, no, no, no, that's after effects, isn't it? If I hit it. - Oh, I thought backstab was you have to announce it prior to the strike. - I'm pretty sure. - Also, I wouldn't get it because he's not granted combat advantage. - Oh, I thought you were using effect for that. My bad, yeah, that's right, you were just shifting up to him to drop him on his ass. My bad, okay then. Oh, cool, all right then. Thank you very much, I appreciate it. - Yeah, there's not a lot else I can do there.
Yeah, that's it, I think that's all I can do. - All right, Gavin, your turn. - Okay, time for some Thrill and Heroics. Gonna go with, first off, I'm gonna use an inspiring word upon myself. So I need to bring up my hit points a bit more 'cause what I'm about to do, let's clear that out. Roll a one die six. Okay, I'm gonna spend a healing surge on myself and add an additional plus one, that's not much. And I'll take it though. Let's see, use a surge, plus one, better than nothing. Okay, so I'm no longer bloody. Next step I'm gonna do is I'm going to basically submit myself to an opportunity attack, but I need to get in here for this attack.
So I move right there and I'm gonna take an opportunity attack from number four. - Oh, that's gonna be-- - Oh, thank goodness, all right then. I just kept my item the whole time. Whew, next step I'm gonna do is I'm going to use follow me in, it's my new encounter. I'm gonna hit the drake with it and let's see what happens. Hopefully first off I'll actually land the blow. This particular attack is fairly strong. It's basically just trying to get an opening and calling out Una to come forth and charge it. We'll see what happens here. - That's a hit. - That's a hit, excellent.
And let's roll some damage, that's two weapon plus four. All right, you, let's see some damage. I hit it for 14. - You have bloodied it. - Excellent. Secondary effect, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna basically say Una, finish it off and what she's gonna do is when her turn comes around, when she uses a charge, she would normally get another plus two bonus to run towards it, you know, and speed, but she doesn't need the extra speed bonus, but she'll be able to avoid any opportunity attacks while she just rushes up and smashes it. - Oh, wow. - That's awesome.
- And that's what follow me in is all about. And I think, yep, that's gonna be my turn. - All right, Drake number one is going to shift up next to Una and use claws, that'll miss, good Lord. Drake number two is going to use shifting strike and shift right here next to Una and get a plus two to the attack, oh wait, almost a crit, okay. So that does indeed hit, 18 damage. So that will re-bloody Una. - Cool. - Drake number four, hmm, Drake number four is just gonna use claws, yeah, he's just gonna use claws against Gavin, that's a hit. - I'm gonna pop endure pain so I can take five less damage here.
- All right, probably smart. So 15, so just take 10. Una, your turn. - Okay, I'm gonna charge, ignoring all opportunity attacks, up to dragon and roll ardent strike, which can also be used in melee basic during a charge. - May I recommend, instead your new one, hold fast. - Can that be used, is that? - Yes, it can, any time you do an MBA, you can totally use that one. - Oh, holy shit, okay. Let's do that then. Do I get any pluses to attacking it? - You get a plus one bonus for charging it. - Okay, cool. - That is a hit. - Thank God. - Okay, and damage, click it, there we go, okay.
- 17, very nice. Are you done? - Can I pop a divine challenge on it? - Should, yeah. - Okay, yeah, and pop divine challenge. - Okay, Drake number three's turn, he's gonna use shifting strike, shift behind Una. Plus two because he's flanking, and 27, that's a hit. - Wow, I might actually go down. - 12 damage, that reduces you to four. - Okay, yeah, land hands is gonna come up soon here. - Now you remember, you used one already today. - Yep. - Okay, just reminding you, Jadzia, your turn. - Okay, I am going to, shoot, shoot. We'll move up here, and I'm concealed now.
I will curse number one, and then I will use Eldritch Blast against number one, yay, hit, okay. And I don't get any pluses, so. - 12, there we go, that did it, okay, 12 damage sounds better. Well. - Did you get your curse, did you also roll your curse damage, please? - Oh, right, thank you. That reminds me, I never rolled my curse damage against the pack leader like two turns ago. So four more against him. - Okay, four more. - I'm going on the left. - Pack leader's turn. Let's see, he is bloodied, let's do some stuff 'cause he's bloodied. He's gonna use something called Vicious Assault.
He's gonna make two bite attacks against one of you, and you know what, boy, you're all lined up. Which one of you is causing the biggest threat? - Probably 'cause he doesn't have like a tail sweep where you could nail all three of 'em. - Hit me, you ugly mother. - Jeez, okay, you know what, because he's flanking with Una. - God damn it. - Let's do some biting. - God. - That's a hit. - Yeah, of course, of course it is. - 13, you are down. - I was legit like expecting to die, so you know, that's not too bad. - Two bite against the same target. Shit, I gotta bite her again.
- What? - I gotta bite you again. - Cute. - Thumbs a miss. - Literally on the ground, bleeding out, and you miss the attack. - Oh, you were on the ground, I get a plus two. - Fuck, that's still gonna miss, but. - Still a miss. - That's still, okay, okay, cool, I'm just checking. (laughs) He is going to shift back and impop an action point, and then I'm gonna use, he's gonna use acid breath on Gavin. - Nine damage for attacking Gavin. - Nine damage, okay. - And a minus two to this hit, so hopefully he misses. - Okay, okay, so let's, that's a miss. - Thank goodness.
- So, okay, cool. Now let me take away nine damage. All right, Marcus, your turn. - All right, real quick, is Oona actually dying at this point? - She is on the ground, yes. - Okay, I will use blackened soul. - Yes. - Sounds awesome. - Yeah, it's gonna save you. One dying ally in the burst, it's a close burst five, so going out from right in front of me, five. One ally in the burst can spend up to two healing surges until the end of the encounter or until the target is fully restored to full hit points. The target gains plus two power bonus, two attack rolls and damage rolls, but grants combat advantage.
So you get two healing surges. Now, Gavin, does my plus one die six go with this as well? - Is it a healing effect? 'Cause I think it was called shadow. Let's go and verify. - Yeah, it's healing and shadow. - Divine healing shadow. - And since it has the healing keyword, then it does benefit from the one D six plus charisma mod. - So both healing surges would, wow, that is. - It's a daily. - Yeah. - It's a one time get out of jail free basically. So it's definitely a, you know, save it until you need it type deal. But so when he's a creepy too, like the smoking eyes and crap like that, just like her.
- So Una, you get two healing surges plus seven. - You are awesome. - Now both healing surges would benefit from the pluses wouldn't they? 'Cause it's two separate healing surges being popped. - So I get to roll it again. - I, yes, unless I'm, unless I'm wrong. I mean, that seems to me that she's rolling. Yeah, that would be. - And another five. - Jesus. - Holy shit. - Two healing surges plus 12. - That is so awesome. - Oh man. - Groups that may be fighting group three in the future, take note, you're a clear clerk and who just. - Trust me, my friend has already said, yeah, they're yeah.
Una and Gavin and Fi are the ones who are gonna kill people. You're going to be the first to die. Like, yeah, I kind of figured as much too, but. - I feel a yinward battle ax in your chest in the future. That's just gonna. - Okay. Wow. Okay. So. - Welcome back to the land of the living Una. - Let it be noted too, Una, that until you get back to full hit points for the first time, you're going to be granting combat advantage to everything, but you know, welcome back. - You get a plus two to every attack too and to damage. So. - Yum, yum, yum. - Sweet. - Okay. Is that all you're going to do?
- Um, yeah. - I'm going to stay right there. If nothing else, I think I can take one shot from the Drake. - I think that either I or Fi probably need a healing word as well. Just saying. - Okay. Um, who's farther down? Gavin? - Gavin. - Yeah, Gavin, you're down. All right. I'll hit Gavin with a healing word as well. Which is two die six plus six. 13 plus a healing surge for you. - Thank you. Yeah, your turn. - Okay. Um, okay. So unbalanced and trick again, shift two to there. - This Drake hates you. - Yeah. Feelings mutual. I can't, I can't say. You know, basic attack.
Hit. - That'll hit. And it's prone again. - Okay. So seven damage. - Seven damage. Okay. - Okay. Um, how, how badly do we want this Drake dead? - Very. - Very, very, very. So I'm popping my action point and... - Backstab? - Yeah. - Woo! - Okay. So, hang on. Okay. So backstab is a free action and yeah. Okay. So I've got to make a melee basic attack and it's triggered. Yeah. - Yeah. My understanding of it, you're basically calling your shot. Like you, you gotta, it's like, I'll kind of use backstab and whether it hits or misses, you're using it. - Yeah. - And then you get two of them, I believe.
- Yeah. Okay. So, melee basic attack and that is plus nine and five. - Oh, I was just saying that you get, he's dropped. So he's a two, then your backstab gives you a plus three. And that's all in addition to whatever normal bonuses you get from a melee basic. - Well, it's saying that my melee basic is plus seven. So if... - Jesus. So that means you're rolling at a plus 13. No. Well it's plus five already? - Right. You two for prone and plus three for backstab. - Oh, okay. I was reading it as five squares. I read that as he gets a plus five and a plus three for a defeat.
It's like, Jesus. Okay. Yeah. - Okay. So what am I rolling at? Plus... - Plus 12. - Plus 12. I like the sound of that. Okay. Plus 12. I hit. - That will hit. - Right. Okay. So we do, hold on. First do this damage. Do I get any pluses to the damage as well? From anyone, from anything? - Right now it's not debuffed or anything. So you're just getting your straight up bonus to attack or... - Third. - Yeah, bonus. - Okay. So eight. - Okay. Eight damage. - Then I have two dice for a sneak attack and extra dice six for backstab. Oh, seven. - You will not believe this. Seven is just enough to kill it.
- Oh yes. - Yay. - So the pack leader is dead. You just have these pesky drakes to deal with now. - Weapons away. Slave drakes, you're free. Go ahead. - It worked last time. So, Gavin, your turn. - All right. That was excellent. Let's see. What can we do now? I think I'm going to hit. Yeah. I'm going to draw my sword. Well, I already got my sword. I'm going to do something a little bit experimental that I have yet to do yet. Let's go and take a five foot step back, channel my energy. And instead of drawing my wand, I'm going to unleash my chilling cloud directly through my sword.
- Bad ass. - Like no more wands. Drop that there. Okay. So I guess we'll start with bad guy. Well, I can just take it from the top as I want to now. That's right. Let's start with number two there. I'm going to roll. Looks like that's going to miss the first target. And we're going to go with bad guy number one. - That will also miss. - Also a miss. And the third target, drake number three. Rolling that one. - Hat trick, ladies and gentlemen. Three misses. - And that's okay. That means they won't take damage, but they still have to get that minus two penalty to attack rolls until the end of my next turn.
- All righty. - There we go. It wasn't as effective as it was, just a little shaky shot, but the blinding snow still did what it needed to do. And that would be the end of my turn. - All right. Let's start with man. Okay. You know what? Let's start with number one here. Obviously it's his turn. He is going to use shifting strike against Una and that's at a negative two. Okay. That's going to miss. Okay. Let me see. Drake number two is going to use his claws against Marcus. - And that'll hit. - Yeah. - Almost a crit. - You've been getting so many almost crits. - I know.
I know. It's almost not fair. - Ouch. - That is 14 damage. - Good God. - Drake number four. - I'm going to insult Drake too by saying Una hits harder than you. - Drake number four is going to complete the little circle jerk they got around Una here. - Yum. - And use claws attack. That'll miss. Come on. - But Drake, come on. - Come on. - Okay. Just try like for awesome stuff that I haven't really used yet. Don't have very much to be honest. - Well, you're only a level three. - Yeah. Screw it. Okay. I'll just ardent strike number one. Oh, I get a plus two to add plus two to that.
- That'll hit. - Okay, cool. I forgot about the like damage thing. - The thing. - Creepy soul stuff. - Wait a second. - Did you forget about the, me having combat advantage? - Combat advantage. Well, I already got combat advantage because I actually had combat advantage. So nevermind. - Okay. - I thought, Ooh, oh wait, nevermind. (laughs) I did it the hard way and still missed. - So I get plus two to damage too? - You do. - 10 damage to Drake number one. - 10 damage and you bloodied it. - Yum. I'm going to lick the blood off my hammer. - That is fucked up. You have no idea what these things have.
- Okay, Miley. - Got dragon aid. - You got drades. You want to do anything else? - Um, I kind of want to pop an action point. - You can do that. - What do you think guys? Action point? - You could mark another one with another art and strike like number four here. - Yeah. Okay. Actually, can I put divine challenge on number three and then, cause that's a minor and then action point? - Sure. - And okay. So divine challenge number three, action point. And then I'm attacking number four. Actually kind of want to attack number one again, just to get out of the way.
- Just as a heads up, if you put the divine challenge on three and don't attack it, it just melts off. - Yeah. - Oh, okay. Well, yeah. Okay. I'm going to attack at number one again. Cause I want that one gone. Did I get the plus two? Yeah, dammit. - That's going to miss. Anything else? - No, done. - All right. Drake number three is going to use his claws attack on Una. That's going to miss. Son of a whore. - Did you get combat avenged in there? - He does. But it's evened up because of the snow in its eyes. One and three were in that blast. - Oh, you're right. Yes. Shits, you're right.
- Damn it. (laughs) - Gosh, we're excited there for a second. - Dammit, Merlin. You and your math have foiled me again. Jadzia, your turn. - Screw it. I'll just use Eldritch Blast against number three. Oh, first I'll curse number three. Cause he's the only one not cursed right now. And then I will hit. That's right. - You will hit. Wow, you're right. Okay. That's a hit. - Roll that. Then roll that. 15, so that's 16. And then also I got hit with the void, so I'll be 17. - Jeez. Okay. And 17 damage. Anything else? - No, I think I'm good. - Marcus, your turn. You got a Drake in your face.
- Yeah, I do. So I'm going to... Oh boy. Well, I can Astral Seal him and then I guess I can just whack at him. - That's an option. - Yeah. - All right, we'll do a melee basic attack. - Actually go ahead and use the Defined Waffle attack. It does more damage when you hit. - Oh, yeah, you're right. All right, I'll use the weapon of Defined Waffles. Cause we dubbed it. - All right. - And we'll see if we can hit with that. That's going to be a thing from now on, yes. - That is a hit. - A hit. Wait, wow. Weird. All right. 1d8, 1d6, nine damage. - Nine damage. - Anything else, sir?
- Um, no, I think I'm good for now. - All right, Phee, your turn. - Okey dokey. Okay, so, unbalance and trick, shift two squares. Behind Drake. Four, and then melee basic. And that's plus nine instead of plus seven cause I'm flanking. Roll. - That'll hit. - And melee basic damage. Roll. 10. - 10 damage to Drake number four. Anything else, sir? - Yep. It's prone and sneak attack as well. Nine, nine sneak attack damage. - Gavin, your turn. - Excellent. All right then. I'm going to, first off mark off Chilling Cloud since I already have that one. I'm going to go ahead and let Phee take another swing at that by using commander strike.
So please feel free to stab it again. - Another melee basic. - Yep. - Uh, attack roll plus nine. - You're flanking and it's prone, so that's a plus four total bonus. - Oh, even better. Well done. So plus 11 in total then. - That's gonna miss. - Damn. - Oh well, it was worth a shot. I don't think I would have been able to hit harder. And that, oh, oh yes. I do have one more inspiring word, but I think I want to wait for Una, but she's been holding off just fine. Even with her granting combat advantage from all sides, she's doing it anyway. So anyway, bad luck. - You don't want to heal her up too much 'cause then she loses the plus twos.
- Right-o. So I believe my turn is done. - All right. These three clowns. Okay, Drake number one. Let's try this again. - Oh, very curly. - And they are attacking Una. That is a hit. - All righty. - Damage is 14. You are bloodied. - Cool. - Drake number two. Gonna swing his claws at Marcus again. That's a hit. - Oh, shit. - Damage to Marcus is 12. You are about it. - Get out of there. - Drake number four. Gonna use his claws against Una, of all people. - Oh, look at that. How weird. - That's a miss. Okay. - That was way too personal for fuck. That was like, fuck, I really want to kill her.
Oh God. - No, that was like, that was like, oh, there's a fly in the room. Fuck. That has nothing to do with the table at all. Nothing to do with the game. I swear. - You may want to make your little guy stand too since number four took a swing. - Yeah. Yeah, I didn't take it off and yes, thank you. The fly distracted me. Una, your turn. - Okay. Pissed off. I don't want to use a daily, but I want to use a daily. - These Drakes are a pain in your ass, I'm noticing that this is tenacious. - No, it's the dice that are a pain in the ass tonight. - Well, yeah. - Okay.
Yeah, shit, I don't really have anything that targets more than one creature. So I'll just stick with my lovely Ardent Strike there. Ardent Strike on number one. - All right. - Son of a bitch. Okay, I get plus two. - That is a hit. That's a crit. - 13 plus two, 15 damage. - Nice, 15 damage. - Is it dead yet? - It is not dead yet. You whapped him good though. - Okay, dammit, I still don't have an action point. Yeah, okay, well, end my turn. - All right, Drake number three. Yeah, okay, fine. Just claws. Grand combat advantage, that's a miss. Son of a bitch. Jadzia, your turn.
- I was wrong last time, I still need to curse four. So I'll curse him. I keep a tally. And now I will hit one Eldritch Blast attack. That one, miss. - That is gonna miss, yeah. - All right, I'll just end my turn there then. - Markus, your turn. - All right, Gavin, whom are you hitting? - I was gonna polish up number four over here, but you got another idea? - No, I wanted to know, 'cause I'm gonna have to throw an Astral Seal on somebody and I might as well make it somebody good, 'cause two is just gonna keep pinatting me and then I can hit myself with a healing word.
- Let's hit number four over there then so that Fi will have an easier time hitting it. - The Astral Seal, you got it. All right, Astral Seal on number four. - Step away first. - Oh, I have to step away? All right, I will shift. There. - Okay. - All right, and I hit. So he's at a minus two. - Thank you. - Yep, okay. - And unfortunately I'm gonna have to use my second healing word on myself, guys. Otherwise I'm not gonna make it really well. - Yeah, keep yourself alive. - Plus 15, and a healing surge. - You can refine them things. - And that's gonna wrap it up for you, right?
- Yeah, I'm done. - Okay, Fi. - Okay, unbalance and trick. Unbalance and trick, and then melee basic on number four. So plus two for flanking. Is that it? - And plus two from the Astral Seal that just got dropped. - Even better. Plus 11. - If you hit, you gain five HP. - Which I do. - That'll hit. - Okay, so five, and then, you know, basic. - Wow, okay. - Flaking damage, and sneak attack, she's seven. - All right. - And he is prone. - Yes, I know the drill by now. Very nice. - Yeah, and your turn. - Thank you. I think I'm actually gonna use Intuitive Strike this time to make it still continually easier for Fi to destroy this thing.
Also, Una as well. The next alley-hoo target, yeah, sorry. First off, let's not get ahead of ourselves. I'm gonna do this strike for Intuitive. Let's hit number four, and I'm rolling to strike. Looks like that is a miss. Does a 13 versus Will hit it? - No. - Okay then, it looks like, yeah, even with the Astral Seal, we're not gonna be able to get that strike off. I missed, move on. - That sucks, dude. Drake number one, gonna use his claws against Una. That's a miss. - Thank God. - I keep getting like right there, it's like 19, 20, 19, it's not quite enough to hit Una.
Drake number two, his lunch is getting away, and that's just not gonna do. He's gonna use, actually there's no reason to use Shifting Strike, he's just going to move up one and use his claws attack. That'll hit. - He hasn't missed me yet. - He likes you. - I must be tasty. - Ooh, 17 damage, that bloodies you. - Good God. - It's only 2d6 plus seven, like I keep rolling on the high end every time. All right, Drake number four is gonna use his claws attack against Una, okay, that's gonna hit. - Yeah, yeah. - 13 damage. - Yikes. - Brilliant. - That will bring Una down to five.
Una, your turn. - Okay, so, so much anger. - These Drakes are kicking the shit out of you. - So much fucking anger, okay. - Pardon strike on number one, I swear to God. No, no. - We need to pray to the Dice Gods or something, man, we've angered them, like I don't know what's going on, but this is the most like misses bar none I think I've seen in this session. - This is stupid, okay, lay on hands too. - Okay. - Myself, sorry guys. - That's your last one, isn't it? - Yep. - Okay. - It was necessary. - Yes, just checking. - All right, that'll bring you back up to 15.
Drake number three is going to use claws against Una and that will hit. - Jason? - Yes, ma'am. - I hate you. - I take it out on me in June. Join the line. 13 damage. - Good God. - Hey, you're still upright. It's true, you're down to two. Jadzia, your turn. - Okay, that's enough of this. I'm gonna use Diabolic Grasp against number one. I will use Heroic Effort, which would add four to that. Would that help? - That's still gonna miss. - Oh crap. I will Action Point. - Okay. - And I will still try to do some damage against this thing. - Okay, you get a plus four bonus of strike from your feet, plus three and plus one for my inspiring-ness.
- Says a plus five. - It says plus five. Does that help? - Oh, wait, wait, wait. To that previous hit? - Yeah. - To the previous? - To the new hit. - To the new one. - To the new one, okay. - Yeah, to the new one. - I'll do Action Surge and then I give you half my Intelligence modifier. - Oh, great, I forgot I got that Action Surge thingy. How much was that? Sorry. - Five, plus five. - Plus five. - That will hit. - That'd be really depressing if it didn't hit 'cause it was plus 11. - Damage, I'll kill this motherfucker. - 15. - That will kill that motherfucker. - Thank God, yes.
- Love you, Jad, dear. - All this rage. - This is just the opening fight in the forest. Like this is-- - Yeah. - I believe I made a speech at the beginning of this session. Marcus, your turn. - All right, guys, I'm gonna end up popping my second daily here. Close Blast five, that'd be one, two, three, four, five. I'm going to target number two, but each ally, myself and each ally in the blast gain resist five to all damage until the end of my next turn. So the worst comes to worst, all I'm gonna do is shove number two three spaces and knock him prone. - Okay.
- But it's the effect that I want more than anything. - Yeah, sometimes close it out more than anything. - There we go. - There you go. - And I will, of course, I'll miss. - So you're gonna push him back three, right? - No, on a hit, I push it back three and knock it prone, but we all get resist five. - All right. - Till the end of my next turn. - Fee, your turn. - Okay, okay. - Oh yeah, he stood up on his last turn too. Just to, if that were not clear, it's the only thing he does every damn turn. - Okay, well. - Let me take a guess. Does it start with unbalancing?
- Yes. - Okay. - Damn, Jason's psychic. (laughing) - Good at reading patterns. - Hey, Dagey, melee basic attack, and is that still, that's plus two for flanking, is that still plus two for something else? - No, he didn't refresh the astral seal, so just the plus two. Unless you wanna pop your second backstab, since it's granted combat advantage. - Yes, I will do that. Just another plus three. So, plus 12. - It's got to die. - Okay, roll, hit. - That is a hit, yes. - Okay, so damage, oh, okay. If anybody didn't know, once you've clicked on the red dice, if you click on the enemy you're trying to hit, it gives you the options for max and half damage.
- Oh, cool, nice. - And any modifiers as well. - That'll save Jason some time. - Yeah, that's awesome. - So, okay, so there's the dice, 10. - 10, you have bloodied it. - And then three die, six, nine. - So nine more damage on top of that. All right, very nice. - Excellent. - Total of 19. You all done? - Yep. - Gavin, your turn. - Excellent. What I'm gonna do now is I'm going to use intuitive strike once more against number four, targeting its willpower. And we roll. Is it a hit? Ah, it's a hit. - That is a hit. - 18 is a hit. Now we go for the damage. Oh yeah, it's also been knocked prone, that's right.
- I know, damn it, I keep forgetting to take it off. - And we'll go ahead and do all the damage. - Man it myself, I keep forgetting to take it off. It's every turn I should remember. One damage. - Well it's only one damage, that means it still gets a plus two bonus to anybody. Oh yeah, so anybody who doesn't already have combat advantage against it, it grants combat advantage and then another plus two bonus to attack it as well. So have that, that's my turn. - Let's see here. Drake number two is going to shift right up here next to Marcus. Uses claw's attack.
That's a hit. Nine damage. Which brings you down to three. - A little help, Jetzia. Resist five. - Oh yeah, you do get to resist five, wow. So let me give you back five. - I'm coming. - This dog followed me home. - It's like by the end of the fight, we're all beat up, battered, bruised. Jetzia's just looking at us like, "What's wrong guys, let's keep going." - I can do another one, come on. - Drake number four is going to use these vicious, vicious claws. I would imagine at this point, Una is just shredded, just tattered. They're trying to open a can of Spam is what's going on.
She's this heavily armored paladin and they're just trying to just pry that off to get to the juicy meat inside. - Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam. - Spam, Spam. - Oh no. - That is 23. - Hi guys, bye. - That will hit. - Bye. - 13 damage, that'll bring you down to negative 11. - Minus five. - Just let me bleed out, I'm basically useless. Like I haven't like hit anything. - Let's not. - Una, Una, your turn. - I'm gonna roll around on the ground, coughing up blood and crying. - While you're doing that, make a death saving. - Sure. Okay, that's a D20. - Yep, that's a six, that's one strike.
As a reminder to the folks at home, you get three strikes and you're dead. Though there are three healers in this party, I kinda doubt they're gonna let that happen if they can help it. Drake number three, well, golly, not very sporting, you're kind of down, he's gonna use shifting strike, wait. Yes, okay, he's gonna use shifting strike and attack fee. That's a hit. - So many 19s. - 15, I know, I keep, that's 15 damage to fee, he is down to five health. Jadzia, your turn. - Oh, um, five resist. - Oh, minus five. - You get, yep, you get resist five, my bad.
So that'll put you back to 11. - Okay, Jadzia, we'll move over here. And now I'm concealed. Let's see. - You might as well kill number four, you're gonna gain a bonus of, you have multiple stacked bonuses, it would be very hard to miss. - Yeah, but I don't want Marcus to die. I don't want Una to die. - Una, yeah. - But he does have-- - Four is gonna be tore up. You have a plus two bonus from your fate of the void that you're gonna pop. You're gonna have a plus two, or sorry, a total plus four from me. And then it's prone, so that negates one of those two. So you still look like a plus six modifier.
- Yeah, I think I'll hit him. - Warlocks are all about the modifiers. - Miss! - Wow, you rolled a two, that'll do it. - Well, that's my turn. - Oh, that sucks. Marcus. - Yeah, Marcus is not in such great shape here. Let's see. - I like how you back up to Jesse and she just goes, are you kidding? You're getting hit, you're getting close to me, get away. Don't bring him over here. - And not only that, then she disappears from sight. - And attacks somebody that's not even close to me. Yeah, thanks. See where this is going. All right, I'm thinking, running really isn't gonna do me a whole lot of good, but if I just use a healing surge, it gets me enough hit points, then I could pop an action point and use something else.
I don't know that, I mean, I don't have a whole lot left I can use. All right, that's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna use, take my, I'm gonna use him every, well, I gotta step back one, I'm gonna shift there. I will use him a resurgence so I can get this in the right spot. No, it gets everybody over there. All right, we're gonna try and hit, I guess it's number four with this, but each ally in the burst can choose to either gain five temp hit points or make a saving throw. - Question, question. Is this a thing you're gonna do to number four? Is it a damaging?
- No, it's just a minus two penalties. - Okay, cool. Just making sure that you're not gonna put yourself in stun. - Nope, I was just doing that because I knew that it wasn't going to hurt anything. So it was just a, let's knock his defenses down even more. I mean, I can shoot at number three if you prefer, but. - No, four is good. Let's try to batter that one some more. - Hey, I hit. He gets a minus two to all defenses until the end of my next turn. And the next time somebody hits him, he's knocked prone again. So, we're gonna free him. - Guess who that's gonna be, yeah.
- All right, all right. Every ally in the burst either gain five hit points or make a saving throw. - Yeah, I was gonna say that saving throw is probably me. - Well, you could just gain five hit points and be at five health. - Oh, shit, okay, yeah, let's do that. - I would take that if I were you. I just. - I forgot that it goes back to zero and then, you know. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's kind of a get energy on free card. It's pretty tough to kill you guys. Did you know that? - Well, it's gonna get a lot easier soon. I'm running out of healing stuff. (laughing) And then I will pop my action point.
- Uh-oh. - Well, no, no, no, no, as much as I need to use a healing surge myself. 'Cause I am hurting big time and that guy's gonna hit me one more time and I'm gonna die. - Okay. - So, damn, I didn't get a bonus in mine either. That should get me up to the point where at least I can survive another hit, hopefully. And now I am done. - Okay. (laughing) Okay. - Thank you. - Phee, your turn. (laughing) - Thank you, thank you. Oh, okay. - Hey, Phee, Gavin, did you guys get your five, 10 hit points as well? - Yep, I've added mine. - Just wanted to make sure. - Sure did.
- Actually, same thing with you, Jadzia, if you ever get close enough to get hit. - That'll never happen. - I know, that's good too. - I'm gonna add them. - Okay. Number four or number two? - Let's mop up number four. - Okay. - Gavin, hold on. If he trips number two, at least then I can start helping next round instead of just running away from him constantly. - I can't trip him. - Oh, you'd have to get close enough to do it. - Yeah. - He's good, but he's not that good. - All right. - I can do an unbalancing trick that will give me a shift of two, but that will only knock it prone if I do a melee basic, which I can't reach.
- Okay. - Question, I got an idea, man. Why don't you put yourself diagonal with me to number four and then gain flank for that so that at least I have a better chance of trying to help you mop up four in case you miss? - I... - Or second unbalancing trick on four. - Yep, yeah, I can do that. Okay, so unbalancing trick up to there. And then we have melee basic. Just a plus two for flanking? - Yes, or at least from combat advantage. Oh, he's prone as well. That's right, he's pre-prone. So you're doing the prone on the prone. Now my table's weirding out, but did you end up going caddy corner up there next to Una?
- Yep, I have. - All right, cool. Yeah, my table's just not refreshing. I've just got a white screen. - Okay, so... - I'm gonna restart my table. - Okay, so d20 plus 11, which is flanking and 'cause he's prone roll and I hit. - 10. - 10 damage. - And sneak attack, g7. - All right, awesome. Done? - Yep, done. - Gavin, your turn. - Hello, I'm gonna use inspiring word first off for Una so that she can get some hit points back. In addition to her healing surge, I will give her another six hit points. That's one of the better ones. Let her know that it's nearly over, just hold on a little longer.
And then, and then, oh, that's my second one for right now. So it looks like it's all gonna be, Una does get to use a healing surge as well. That's correct. In addition to the six hit points. - There you go. - Okay, so I, that being said, he can't get sneak attack again until his turn. So commander strike is less in there, but I do want it to die. So actually what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna request Una hit number four using my commander strike. If she lands the blow, she gets another plus three bonus to damage. The enemy has, what kind of riders right now?
He's prone. - Yes. - That intuitive strike I did on him before melts. So that one's no longer given benefits. So it's another plus two bonus to hit at least. - There you go. - Brush your fingers, break your teeth. - Okay, internet problems. Am I attacking number four? - You are attacking number four. - Melee basic it up with a plus two bonus. - Sorry, she got weird there. - Will a plus two bonus help? I mean, did you already attack that in? - Yeah, I think I did. - Yeah, that will not hit I'm afraid. - Oh damn. - Wait, wait, plus two. Cause I'm still below full hit points.
- Oh yes, that's right. That's still in effect. - That will still miss. - God tits. - God tits. - Plus one for thinking speedy. Plus one for thinking speedy and being desperate. - It is not your turn. - Can I get transfer the one bonus? Is that enough to hit? - That would still miss. - Son of a bitch. - 19? - Yeah, you need a 20 guys. - Yeah. - Hey, don't tell them, geez. - Well, that I believe is my turn. - All right, Drake number two. Oh Marcus, you look delicious. Claws attack versus Marcus. Damn it, that's a crit one. All right, all right. He was due for a miss, it's okay.
Drake number four on the other hand. He's gonna stand up and he is going to attack Una. - Of course, of course, the little shit. - And he gets combat advantage because of, well, the previous stuff we're gonna hit, 28. - Could die. - 15 damage, geez. You are down to three. - Please tell me it's my turn. - It is Una's turn. - Okay, thank fucking God. Okay, fuck this Drake. - His shit's weak. - Win Fury Assault. Wait, shit, nevermind, I don't wanna take combat or I don't wanna take, what's it called? - Opportunity attack? - You won't, you're flying. - You're flying.
- Oh fuck yeah, okay, Win Fury Assault. Whoop, not there. - Wow, you're gonna assault the trees. - Bye guys. - Oh wow. - Good luck. - And attack number two. - So for those of you who can't see at home, Una just clean, picked up and left. She is only, she is about 25 feet away with Marcus and Drake number two. And that is a hit. - Okay, I'm just gonna say Marcus, I got you. And then damage. - But more importantly, I'm away from Drake number four as my number. - 10 damage. - 10 damage, very nice, that's good, it's admirable. - Do I still get that plus two to damage?
- Yes, you do. - Okay, and 12 damage. - 12 damage, all right, cool, cool, cool. All right, it is Drake number three's turn. Drake number three, hmm. Drake number three is going to scamper up behind Una. - Jason, what do you have against me? - I have nothing against you, it's the Drake. I have no power here. - The God. - Jatsia, your turn, he missed. Does that make you feel better? - Yeah, yeah, it does. - Okay, Jatsia, your turn. - All right, I had a plan but that's falling apart. Okay, I'll just Eldritch Blast number two. Click, click, oh, it only works with the arrow apparently.
Click, miss. - Oh, miss. - One for thinky-speedy. - One for thinky-speedy. - That'll force his reflex, still miss. - Sorry. - Marcus, your turn. - Okay, can I attack and then shift? - Sure. - Or do I have to shift first? Okay. - No. - Which case then I will use Weapon of Divine Protection against number two, which will miss. - Oh my God. - The effect's still on though, right? - Yeah, which is why I needed to know if I could shift after this because now I can shift one and so now until the end of my turn, your allies gain plus two power bonuses all defenses while adjacent to me.
- Okay, cool. Fee, your turn. - Okey dokey. Yeah, I'm just gonna hit number four. Let me basic attack, plus two for flanking. - Tripping him again. - I can do, I don't need to. Would that make that much difference? 'Cause I wouldn't get any benefit this turn by next time he would have stood up again. - You can't do a shifting strike is what I was thinking about. - Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm balancing trick and then I will smack him with that. Maybe the basic plus nine. I miss. - That will miss. Anything else, sir? - No, that's everything I can do. - Gavin, these are the worst dice rolls, man.
Gavin, your turn. - Well, because you missed, I'm gonna give you commander strike and say, no, no, hit him again. - Do better. - Thank you, cowboy. I will take it under advisement. Now hit it again. - Okay, so another me in a basic attack then. All right, two for flanking you. - Yes. - Hit, there. - That'll hit, boy. - Please enjoy a plus three bonus to damage and get your sneak attack dice in. - Awesome. That's, hang on, that's roll sneak attack first. So that's seven. - You sink your blade into the side of this thing and kill it. - Yay. - Excellent. - So that is one less strike.
There are two drakes left on the field, guys. You're almost home sweet. - Unfortunately, neither of them are bloodied yet. - Oh, I guess I can move now. I'll go ahead and move. One, two, three, four, five, and I'll stop right there. - All right. Let's see. Drake number two. Drake number two. Oh man. I feel bad, but well, now hold on a second. Who's worse off? You know what? Drake number two is gonna use his claws attack on Marcus because they've been together for so long. Well, that's fine. Still a hit. Okay. - Minus two to strike. - Wait a second. - He's marked. - Yet.
That'll miss them. - Yep, that'll miss. Sweet. - Okay. Oona, your turn. - Okay. Did two take that damage? - Yes, it did. - Excellent. You're a fucker. Okay. Guys, we're popping dailies. It's getting that bad. - I've already blown through mine. So I said to say it was that bad a half hour ago. - I've used both of mine. - I poured my daily. It's like no one's business. - Yeah, me too. But then again, my daily is gonna suck dick. So black powers. - I was, nevermind. That's low hanging fruit. We're better than that. Come on. - Okay. Yeah. On pain of death for number two. - Wanna flank first?
- Yeah, I do. Okay. Shift, pain of death, number two. I get plus two. - And then plus two more from your scary, oh, that doesn't matter. You're hit anyway. - You're hit. Totally hits. - That's versus will, so yeah. Okay. Excellent. Damage. It's also gonna take one d8 damage every turn. So it ends. - All right. - But let's do this first. I get plus two to that damage. 28 damage. - Good lord. You've bloodied it. Very nice. Are you done? - Um, yes. Yeah. - All right. These drakes are done fucking around. Drake number three is going to use his shifting strike and get right next to Una.
- Son of a bitch. That was a little bit more than a shift it looked like. - It was two. Oh wait. Oh God, you're right. It was two. I'm an idiot. Wait, is it six? Oh, I thought it was two squares. Okay, nevermind. Doesn't matter. Shifting strike still. And doesn't get combat advantage. - Oh wait, it doesn't. - Well, it still does get combat advantage just because of the, 'cause you're not at full health. - Yeah. - That's a hit. - Bye guys. Bye. Down for the third time this fight. - You're gonna be fine. - 16. Oh my God. You're down to negative 15. - I'm running out of healing stuff, guys.
- Don't worry about it. - She hasn't used her second wind. You are the best option to force her to use her second wind. Jadzia, your turn. - Okay, I will move up here and I'm sealed. And fuck, I will, I'll learn my power. Fucking. - Naily's, come on. - I don't even need to use it. I'm gonna use a first block. Come on. Yay. Oh, critical. - That's a hit. Rebs. - Critical hit. Critical hit. I said, ah yes, a critical hit. (laughing) - Here you're rolling double damage with it. - Wish. 15. - That kills it. - Okay. Yay. - Excellent job. You were singing "No More Kings" there for a moment, were you not?
- Yes, I was. - Excellent. I love "No More Kings." Anywho. - Okay, if I hit something for the first time, like four rounds, I'm all set. - "No More Kings" did the Karate Kid song, didn't they? - They did. Sweep the leg. - Yep. - Love it. Okay, cool. And the one about Knight Rider. Sorry. Marcus, your turn. (sighing) - 'Cause I'm hurt in here, but. (laughing) I can hit him with an Astral Seal or... Oona's down, but I don't have anything that can heal her now. - I have an idea. If you shift right to here, and then you do the healing check that makes her use her Second Wind, that'll bring her back up.
And then I'm thinking we can have Fi move right here, still gain combat advantage from one of his attacks. And then I can end up moving here afterwards and hitting him and grinding the combat advantage that you'll give me from being right here. - Okay. So I move there and then just what? Force her to make a heal check? - Yeah, you need to roll a healing check, 15 or better. It's under your skills. - 14. - Last one for thinking speeding. - Sure, why not? Let's do that. Like I feel bad. - Very much. And now she's got a Second Wind. - Okay. So you get to spend a healing surge?
- Yes. - You get to spend a healing surge and you get plus two to all of your defenses until the end of your next turn, I believe. - Oh hell yes. Okay. Wow, I'm like channeling early Gavin in this fight. - That is the third time you have gotten off of the ground. So good for you. Now a pessimist would say that'd be the third time you were knocked out. No, no, no. That's the third time you stood up. - Always think positive. - Yeah. - Okay. That's the end of Marcus's turn, right? - Yeah. I don't have anything else I can do. - All right. Fi, your turn. - Okey dokey.
This time, Jason, I'm gonna use Ambush Trick, which I can get up to there and I get combat advantage and then melee basic. - How do you have combat advantage? - Ambush Trick gives it to me. - Oh, it just gives it to you? Okay, cool. - Yeah. You gain combat advantage against enemies within five squares of you when you attack and that have none of their allies adjacent to them. - Gotcha. Sometimes it has to keep making stuff up. (chuckles) - Okay, so plus two for combat advantage. Roll. Ah, miss. - That will miss, sadly. - Dang. - Anything else? - No, that's everything I can do.
- Gavin, your turn. - My turn. I'm gonna go up and step up, use my commander strike and have V take another whack at him. - Okay, but I won't get, I won't get combat advantage. - You won't get the combat advantage, but you're the hardest hitter amongst us all. - Fair enough. Okay, so, melee basic. Hit. - That is a hit, yes. - Damage. I'm gonna do 10 plus four. Nine. - Nine damage. Anything else? - Not from me. - Oona, your turn. - Okay. I really don't have anything left. Stand up. - Take the switch out and out. - Yeah, ardent strike on number three. Do I still get the plus two?
- You do. - Yeah, you haven't hit full health yet, so. - That's gonna miss. - Dicks. (laughing) - Dicks, dicks, dicks, dicks. (sighing) Anything else? You've used your action point, oh my god, this is terrible. - Just cry tears of blood, I guess. - Okay. Well, I never did get that equipment that Commander Grace said we were gonna get before we left, so. - Yeah, that's, we kinda discussed that before the show, but yeah, that's, yeah. Drake number three is going to use shifting strike and shift right here. And then swing against you. - Suck 80 dicks. Not you, but Drake.
- No, no, no, I figured that's a lot of dicks. - Yeah, well, deserves it. - That's like bulk discount dicks. That's a lot of. - You know, there's gonna be two dicks in there somewhere. - Yeah. - I have plus two defenses that doesn't hit. - Wait, you're right, damn, okay. Does he get plus one for dix? - No, he does not. - Shatia, your turn. - I am not Una. I was looking at her because she's beautiful. Uh, Aldrich Blast. Fucker. - There's so much hatred for this fucking Drake. - Damn. - That's a hit. - Damn. And then we do this and I get plus two 'cause of the fate of the void.
And then I get to roll my six-sided die. 19. - Two damage, 19. Gorgeous, very nice, very nice. - Wonderful. Uh, Marcus? - Marcus is still next to useless, so I will just throw an astral seal on him. - Alrighty. - Especially since he's bloodied, I can't hit him, but. - That's nice. - And of course it is. I'm done. - Oh my God, Fee, your turn. - Okay, okay. Um, ambush trick gives me combat advantage and melee basic attack against number three. - That's a hit. - And that's a hit. Okay, so. - Stab him, but good. - Okay, so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna roll my sneak attack damage first and then I'm gonna add that to my regular damage.
So that's seven. - Okay. See, that's the smart way to do it. Good, good, good. - That is a smart way to do it. - And then plus seven there. - 14. - 14 damage, gorgeous. Anything else? - Nope, that's everything. - Gavin, your turn. - Alright, I'm gonna move into position. Taking the long way around to avoid any attacks of opportunity, now flanking. I'm going to hit with Intuitive Strike this time, striking out against its willpower and basically trying to make it easier to hit. See it. - That's a hit. - That is a hit, excellent. And I'll roll a little bit of damage.
Looks like an eight. - Eight damage. - All the damage I can do. And yeah, plus two bonus to hit it and anybody who hits it, the next person to hit it, basically treats it like it has combat advantage. - Awesome. Una, your turn. - Okay. - You have the drake surrounded. - So I get plus two for my regular stuff and then I get plus-- - Plus two for combat advantage. - Plus two for combat advantage and then plus two from Gavin? - Plus two from your regular stuff? Yeah, yeah. - That weird light health bra. - My moment of glory. - So yeah, you're rolling at plus six.
- Yep. - Plus six for him. - Please, dear God. - Una, you may-- - Hits! - Yay! Oh my gosh! - Let's end this. - End it. - Okay, and I still get plus two damage 'cause thingies, right? - Yep. - Is that all the damage plus I get? - Yes. - Okay. - Yes, I got it as well. - You have killed it. - Yes! - Oh, crap. - You have crushed this drake's skull. - Finally. Oh my God. - That was painful. - Now you guys can begin your mission. (laughing) - Jesus Christ, okay. - So you might wanna rest up for a minute, catch your breath. - Yeah. - Yep. - Take four. - That's another swarm of drakes, just.
- You've entered into a part of the forest called Drake Alley. - Drake and Alley. - All my dailies. - You were the temporary hit points. - Let's take stock. I think all of you have pretty much used all of your dailies. - Yep. - And most of your healing surges. - I still have a bunch of surges left. - Okay, well, how many of those would you like to spend to get back up to full health? - I see about 10, three. That's 10 surge values and then I'll spend. That's why I was adding those. - Well, I was about to say you are adding surges. - Yeah. There you go, so I've got four surges left.
- All right, so you are back up to full health. Yeah, okay, so that was a crowbar to the kneecap, guys. I'm not gonna lie. - Brutal, brutal. - Would you like to continue? - Yeah, I'll do it. - All right. - We'll be fine. - Sticking to this path, man, okay. Sticking to this path, you have a couple of options. Now, are you trying to get there quickly or are you trying to kind of stealth through? - I was under the impression we were carrying quite a bit of explosives. - Well, you're carrying as much as you had when you did the Drow campaign. - Okay. - It's like a belted thing of explosives, yeah.
- I'm still on Jadzia. (laughs) - That's the next question, who's carrying that? - Yeah, Jadzia. - Hi. - Jadzia, it just kind of makes sense. Okay, that makes sense. She never gets hit. - I don't take damage during battles, so I should carry the explosives. - Right, totally makes sense. All right, so you're on foot, I'm taking it, okay. - We should at least try to be stealthy. Like, we'll probably fail 'cause there's five of us, but we'll attempt it. - Here's what we're gonna do. Everyone roll a stealth check. Now listen, this isn't a new. (laughs) - Stealth is number three.
(laughs) - Oh, God. - I tripped over a rock. - Negative one. (laughs) - At negative one, I think you pretty much just stand in a field and yell stealth. Like, I think that's what you're talking about. (mumbles) - The Trump kits are not for stealth. - Everyone sound the stealth trumpets. Someone's got a kettle drum rattling off. - That's just doing that. - I think Marcus is joining her. - Let's see here. - If he did just fine with a 17, eight, 14, two and negative one. Traveling along this path, I don't even know if we need to change maps. Okay, let's say that this is, you're further in and your complete lack of stealth has definitely brought about some unwanted attention.
And there is a small detachment of elves in the area that heard you kicking rocks and screaming and throwing things. And they are, you, yeah, they're gonna, they're not gonna get the drop on you. You can hear them coming. But yeah, you're definitely gonna get into a fight with these so, oh man, okay. Let's do this. Put your characters right, like let's say here-ish. - Phee, should we try and pull something off? - Yeah. - Hmm? - Guys, we're wearing our Crimson card armor. - Oh yeah, you guys are in full Overwatch regalia. - Forget about that. - I don't think they're gonna buy- - Just talk really loudly about how we killed those Overwatch soldiers.
- Shit, I don't think they'll- - Like how we're like clustered in this tiny little group. Like we're just like terrified, like back to back, Scooby style. - Well, we were trying to sneak together. - Like a Scooby Doo. All right, let's add the party. And now, okay, do you want to try to attempt to talk to them? 'Cause I mean, they're going to, basically unless you're surrendering, they're really not gonna wanna hear what you have to say. Like you're in full Overwatch regalia. This is not a thing where you were disguised in any way. - He wouldn't even let us try, so.
- That's the tip, they are elves. - Nope, nope. - Knocking the arrow. - He doesn't want the elf closer to his blade. - Yeah, see, yeah, Fee is noticeably extremely irritant at the fact that there are elves standing in front of us. - Can I try and roll a diplomacy check? - Yeah. - Okay, so I'm gonna say, "Hello brethren, we are just wandering through your forest." And diplomacy check, 26. (laughing) - Yeah. - Damn. - Sounds right. (laughing) - They think we're elves now. (laughing) - I don't know this, but she does speak elven, so might work toward the thing.
- I'm gonna say it in elven, there we go. - I was about to say, that had to be a reason for, okay. So you were saying that in elven. So the noble guard up front, he's gonna look at you kind of like bewildered. And then after a second, he's gonna reply in elven, "You're trespassing, state your business." - What's the business guys? - Should I try and like? - I'm in the group. - What? - That was just, I was joking. - Oh, so should we try and like say like, we stole these uniforms off some dead soldiers? Like we're just trying to like get somewhere safe? Like what should I do?
- What do you say? What are you saying? - I was gonna say like, we're just talking, our business here. I'm gonna whisper it really quietly in, do we share a common language they might not speak Gavin? - We speak dwarven. - No, I speak goblin. - Oh, I thought you spoke dwarven. - Shit. - Do you speak primordial? - No. - Not exactly a common language. (laughing) - Okay, well. - Trilingual motherfuckers. - Got the high wisdom I can barely speak common. - Okay. - I could have been diplomatic with the drakes. - You speak draconic, that'd be cool. - Yeah. - Yeah, okay, I'll just talk to the elves and say, we took these uniforms off of some soldiers that were dead.
We're just trying to get somewhere safe. - It's okay, that is ballsy. Roll a bluff check. - Okay, plus four and then I'm gonna wink. - Could you like give his ears a point really quickly? Like really quick, can you just, before they notice you, point your ears? - Yeah. - We'll be like, we're trying to smuggle our elf friend. - Um, 18. - We don't know what she's saying though. - Actually it's 20 bluff 'cause I have a plus one if I wink. - Oh, so you're flirting with them. - Yeah. We're just trying to get somewhere safe. We're so dainty and afraid. - You said holding your crag hammer.
(laughing) - I'm just really good at mine. - With drake blood all over you? - Yes, you're. - Coded in dragon age. - I guess that lands on my hand. - Bloody drakes. - Lens greed in the hole we fought things. I think we're further away from the drakes than that. - Yeah, I'm saying, but you're further away from them, but you are coated in blood. Just, just. The wink throws him off, the, the, a little bit wearing those colors in this forest is suicide. - I really should have thought that before it came out here. - I'm going to say trying or like having a changeling in Overwatch is also suicide, which is really annoying.
- One of you is a changeling. - Shove thief. - What the hell? What's going on? - I'm going to glare at Una. - So I'm interested in the end game here. Let's see where this goes. - No idea where this is going, but I figured the longer we're out of combat. - I did not realize. - Oh, that's from assuming. - Yeah. I'm assuming we don't know what she's saying. We're just kind of standing there. - Right. I was going to say, I don't understand, and neither does Marcus, but he does speak Elvin. I didn't realize that. - I do. Yeah. And he is just standing in front of Una because he, he, he just wants to kill the elves.
He doesn't want to try and diplomasize with them. He's just glaring at Una. - What the fuck? - Don't worry about it, babe. It's okay. - And I'm going to go, you know, I have issues with this. You know what I want to do, don't you? You do know what I want to do. - Do the elves hear that or are you like whispering it? - Yeah. I'm kind of saying it loud enough for Una to hear it, but not loud enough for like the elves and everyone else. - Okay. So this, this, this, this, this noble guard is going to kind of walk forward just a bit, just separate himself enough from the pack, but he's going to get a closer look at Fi.
And he's, he's going to say in Elvin, and this time directed at Fi, state your business in the forest. If you're truly looking for protection, then lower your weapons and we will offer it. - Fi, glares at Una again and lowers his weapons. But he doesn't say anything. - So the, okay, the honor guard is going to, or the noble guard is going to, to, to tell Una, tell your friends to holster their weapons and we will offer them protection. - Okay. I'm just going to say like, okay guys, they're going to protect us. It's all going to be okay. We just have to go with them and they'll get us, they'll get us shelter from, from the Overwatch.
Everything's going to be fine. And I'm going to like give like everyone had like a look, just like, I'm going to turn away so that they can't see me and just give them a look like, motherfuckers play along. - Can I say for the record, the idea of Una telling us to play nice instead of just punching them in the face is making me chuckle. - Seriously? - She's brave, not stupid. - Oh, I thought you were just waiting for me to say, fuck it. - Don't you dare Marcus, do not do what I did to you. Do not do what I did to you. (laughing) - Now is not the time. - That might be Gavin's next step.
He's not understanding a thing that's going on. You guys are babbling in language and then saying, put away weapons. - So to Gavin, this looks like you're surrendering. - Yes, precisely. - Okay. - And I'm not in on it. - So is that what you want to do? - Gavin, are you going to do something or are you just going to be like, what's going on? - You're not answering me right now. I take you just doing a whole, you know. - Say what? - He's asking if you were telling him what the plan is, if you're just telling him, okay, put away your weapons, everything's fine.
- I'm going to say the, put away your weapons, everything's fine, like out loud, so the elves might be able to hear it. And like quiet or under my breath to Gavin, I'll be like, this is a ruse. You have to do this in order to get there alive and not just limp into their town bloody and terrified. - All right, so I guess, all right. So, you know, put away his weapon and just sort of mumble back to her. Yeah, so I guess this is a suicide bombing. We're going to be dead center and not cut our way in. - Okay, all right. Okay, so this, this, this noble guard's going to walk forward and kind of offer his hand to, to shake, to Fi.
- Oh, fading him. - If I'm still holding his hand, I'm going to squeeze it. (laughing) Don't make me break your hand, motherfucker. - Does Fi want to shake his hand or? - Fi is going to grimace and eyeball Una, but shake it. - Okay, if I'm still holding Fi's other hand, I'm going to squeeze it. - I'm going to squeeze back. - So they shake hands. Follow us to Kalkas. So, okay, this is all on Elvin, by the way. He's just talking over once he found out you guys spoke Elvin. He's just, he's just communicating that way. Follow us to Kalkas and we'll see that you get the protection you need.
- Okay, I'm going to nod and say, do you speak common? Some of our party members don't speak Elvin. - And he switches it up to common. Yes. Can't you just communicate to them what you've told us? - Wait, what? Sorry, I- - Just let them know what's going on. Oh, okay. Yeah. - Okay. - So I'm going to turn around to the group and say, all right, they're going to take us to Kalkas for protection. - Okay. - Okay, are you rolling with this? - Gavin, okay. - I love that you had the elf archers and the elf Novogard already in the initiative tracker. - Oh, it's just, it's just a formality.
- Oh my God. - Just a formality. - You didn't have very much confidence in her. - In her diplomacy? You're right. I'm sorry, I should have doubted it. - I have a plus 11. - And you rarely use it. - She's very diplomatic when she says, fuck it. What are you talking about? - Well, I'm going to intimidate. - Okay, so in character, just like, kind of like, come on guys, let's go. Like, retreat, retreat, try and run and be safe. - Pajama party with the elves. - So they are going to, the Novogard is going to walk in front of you, but the rest of this pack of elves is going to be right behind you.
Kind of keeping an eye on you the whole time. And they're going to lead you, let's see, let's change maps, 'cause this is interesting. - My stomach hurts. I don't know why it hurts, but it does. It's too intense for me. - Nothing's happened yet. - I know, but... - After last episode, that was too intense for you? - Oh, oh, look at that. Beautiful. - So let me set the scene. They, you guys are walking for a while and eventually you come to this large, large clearing. Now the clearing itself is natural. Everything before that was made by this Titan who kind of cleaved its way to the forest.
It is now kind of sprawled out, lying in a pool of itself in this clearing. Now about 100 yards away or so is Kalkas, this huge tree, and that would be like off map down here a bit. You have to walk past this Titan to get to it, essentially. It's kind of littering their field. They're not a big fan of it, but they were asked to kind of leave it alone while Yenward and the crew went to take care of business. They said, "Okay, well, someone's coming by. "They're gonna try and fix it." This thing is wrecked, pretty wrecked. It appears to have been struck by lightning at a certain point.
The soft bits that make up the joints, a lot of leather and such, are just pelted with arrows. And yeah, there was a pretty big battle you're getting the sense. In the field around this Titan, is the ground's kind of scarred, like burned. Like maybe there was a fire or an explosion, something like that. How would you guys like to handle this? 'Cause now, okay, now you're seeing elves everywhere. There are, I mean, hundreds and hundreds. And if you look up into Kalkas, which is this immense tree that stands tall over the rest of these, this is a really respectable forest.
This thing stands tall over the tree line itself. And you see what appear to be thousands of elves kind of circulating around the tree, in the tree, everywhere. Now you're walking in wearing the colors of the Overwatch, full regalia, again. And immediately they think you're prisoner. They think they've taken you prisoner. And the noble guard who kind of took you in has to explain them like every couple of seconds, like, oh, they needed protection, blah, blah, blah. They said that they're running from the Overwatch. So, but that's not gonna fly forever.
Like someone's gonna get curious and start talking to you. - Okay, what time is it during the day? - You're looking at, let's see, this would be, not even noon really. Yeah, you're right around the noon-ish area. - Okay, crap. I was gonna say, 'cause if it's around evening, it's like, we could, well, we did just have a battle with some Drakes. So we could ask like a place to rest and like take off the armor of our oppressors. - So you're telling them that? - I'm just, should we say that sort of thing? Like, what do you guys wanna do? - I think at some point, yeah, Kevin's gonna kind of run into a little bit.
What are we doing? - I'm just gonna like, just like look at things, like really wide eyes, just like clearly, slightly terrified. - Yeah. - Say we're being brave and keep walking. - Terrified, we're being brave. - You can be scared and brave at the same time. - Yeah, well at least we're scoping out the place. - Can Fi make a perception check because he is doing everything he can to not run up and kill the oppressor's elf. - Sure, yeah. - Okay, perception 24. - 24. They have this area pretty locked down. Like this, I mean, they, this appears to be where the bulk of the elves in this forest are located.
In the field, along with the elves, you're seeing humans, which normally would be a little off, but they are wearing white raven armbands. - We are dead. - They don't know, they don't know it was us. - Also in the field, there is a woman with an eye patch with what appears to be a gash in her shoulder. Like she appears to have taken a blow. This is, you're getting a real good look at her. This is the first time, like you've spotted her a couple of times now over the last week, but this is the first time you're getting a really good, really good look at her.
Also wearing a white raven's armband. And on top of that, she is talking to, she's talking to an elf who isn't carrying any weapons, she appears to be their high maiden, she appears to be the high muckety muck of these elves. - Well that's terrifying. - We're fucked. - Okay, I'm gonna, or I guess Una's going to like tap to, like tap the noble elf, what is his name? Noble leader. - The guard, yeah, okay. - Yeah, gonna tap on her shoulder and say, is there some place we can go to kind of calm down? We had a fight with some drakes and it was messy and painful and we'd like to get this, and she's gonna like look disgusted armor off.
- I should take you to the high maiden, but yes, we have something you can put on. I'll take you there now. And he kind of takes you off to, he kind of takes you off to like a side there, they have like shacks, like lean tos and things, like for visitors mostly. If you want, you guys can take your armor off and put on what they have to offer, which is mostly like leather, that kind of thing. Now, to be clear, that you will be taking a hit to your AC and you will lose any buffs that you get from your armor. - Actually, while she's walking over to talk to the lead maiden, can I grab Jet Z and say, let's go take a look at that thing.
Do you people mind if we look? We've heard of something like this before. I wanna try and get closer to the prototype. - They don't seem to have a problem with it. That seems to feel like it's a curiosity. It's like, oh yeah, sure, let's check out our robot. It's in the middle of the field, like it couldn't be more obvious, yeah. - Okay, and where on the map wise are the hospitality tents? - Okay, let's say that they don't have an icon for that. Can you imagine? Let's say that they're in this region right here. - Okay, all right, any idea how long of the fuse we have is?
- Okay, let's say you're setting this up and lighting it and you're just gonna go for it. 'Cause this may be your best shot, who knows? But let's say you're going for it. You're gonna have a good 15 to 20 seconds to get away from this thing. - Okay, let's see. So if Una is going over to talk to the high maiden and she's down there by the tent, Gavin, would you care to join her? And Fi, you wanna follow her? Jadzia, you and I can go up and take a look at this thing 'cause I'd really like to examine it. I've never seen one of these close up. I've only heard about them.
- Well, there's only one of them. - I know. That's the reason I've only heard of it. - Okay, so Marcus and Jadzia are gonna go check out the Titan Elite. Okay, you wanna roll perception on it? - Is there any chance I could argue, I could do Arcana on it? - You can, yeah. - All right, 16? - This thing definitely, this thing is giving off the same kind of expenditure that the regular Warforged have in that they are definitely tied to the Overwatch and in some way to that beacon. I remember we talked about it in your first episode, something like that, but it is definitely tied to that at one point.
At this point, that appears to be, it's just traces of it. It's non-functional whatsoever. - Okay, does it have the gems in the eyes that the Overwatch uses? - Yes. - Okay. - I don't know, I don't have a knife. Jadzia, do you? - I do have a dagger actually. - Can we try and pry those out to get a better look at the gems? - Do me a favor, roll a stealth check. - For Jadzia or myself? - Whoever's doing the prying. - That would be Jadzia. - Cool. (imitates music) (laughing) - Well, hold on. - Nope, hold on. - When they notice this, I have an explanation. - So immediately you pull out a knife and you're gonna start, "Hey, hey, one of the security guard elves basically is, what are you doing?" - Well, we wanna make sure this thing is deactivated completely.
We don't want it coming back and starting back up at random points. We don't know that this thing could restart even as damaged as it is. - It's taken care of, it hasn't moved in a week. Believe me, we know. - Okay, if you're sure, I would rather be sure that it's not going to happen. - Can I step forward? I'm gonna lie and say, I've seen these before. I've seen these machines go down and they recharge and they come back because of these rubies. - Go ahead and roll a bluff. - 23. - Beautiful. (laughing) - Cool. - I'm a good liar. - He's gonna kind of walk forward.
I was to understand that this was the only one of its kind. - I've seen other War of Wards, not this specific type, but they all have the same ruby eyes. Haven't you noticed that? - Yes, but this has been down for a week. We lost people taking it. - They can be down for months. It doesn't matter, they will come back. These are enchanted rubies. You realize that, right? - I understand. We've been given instructions not to touch it. - How much damage did it do the first time? Look around. If it comes back, it could take out the rest of your forest before anyone can come to help.
- Roll a diplomacy check. - Oh shit. - Hate. Well, not as good at that. - Like he's standing there thinking about it. - He's standing there thinking about it. - Marcus, help. - We just, we want to repay your kindness in giving us shelter by making sure this thing doesn't come back again and harm you. - It's much appreciated. - Which is not a lie. - It's not a lie. That's what I'm saying. - Yeah, that's technically. We'll take it under advisement. For now, we'll start to lash it to the ground. So at the very least, we can give it resistance. Any kind of motions for someone to come over, any whispers, something in this female elf's ear.
And she's going to traipse off and find lots and lots of rope and start bringing it towards the Titan. - Well, shit. - Well, that was just an attempt to maybe pop the gems out so we could at least take those with us. I'm not real worried about that. - But the thing is now they're watching you watch it. - Right? - Yeah, that's what I was just thinking as well. Now it's even worse. We just made it harder for ourselves. - So let me ask a question. Gavin, Fi and Una, are you changing out of your armor? - Don't really have a lot of a choice. - I'm only in leather armor anyway, I think.
- Right, but I mean, this is going to be like no longer Overwatch stuff. This is going to be just plain old, like, you know, scouting leather armor, that kind of thing. - Yeah, Una will take off her armor. Like clearly really uncomfortable about it. Like she rarely takes off her armor. - So something you're going to notice about Una when she's taking off her chest plate is that she has a stab wound. It's healed over, but it's definitely a scar in her abdomen. On top of that, they kind of hand you some fresh duds to get into. And you are now, you're wearing leather armor.
You've changed. Una's armor is pretty worse for the wear. It's full, like, first of all, it's dented in the center. In the center chest plate, there's a nice big dent in it. There's just Drake claw marks all over it. So maybe it's not such a bad idea to get a new set at some point. What's your plan here, guys? What would you like to do? - I'm going to wait for those two to come back. - Yeah. - Just going to look up real quick and go, let's find out what they come back for that. Past that, I'm thinking that we basically all go back up to it, drop the bomb, and then run like hell.
You know, this is a really bad position that we're in right now. I'm not entirely sure what your gamble was placing us here, Una. I trusted you thus far, but now you're basically telling me you have no idea what we're going to do. - Well, I'll defend Una's decision. What do you think would have happened if we came in here blind? - My expectations. - And it's one less fight that we have fought. - As much as I hate elves, at least by doing this, we can prevent, hopefully, our deaths. And if we just lay low for a few hours until nighttime, we could probably pull off blowing it up.
- Provided they don't strip us of our gear. - They're not going to take our gear. - We understand we're supposed to speak to a high maiden. - Let's go talk to her. - Okay. - I hold you personally responsible if this goes down, sadly. - As you should, as you should. - This goes down sadly, there won't be enough of any of us left to hold responsible for anything. - Well, I'll choke her headless body. - Dude, I am waiting for a dice road to go. There are 50 different ways you guys can die right now. Did you know that? Like 50. - Only 50? - Only 50 that I can count.
That's quick math off the top of my head. So, okay, standing next to this high maiden. Okay, do me a favor. Everyone rule perception real quick. - 21. - Seven. - Three. - 10. - Heard she's a maiden. - She's a leader. - Oh man, okay. Marcus is going to overhear as they're walking up that this woman in an eyepatch is talking about, she's talking about Brianna. It's pretty unmistakable. They found her last night. And she-- - Oh fuck. - It's the worst fucking person to hear that. - Oh fuck, oh fuck. - What, do they say they found her alive or just that they found her?
- That's as far into the conversation as you get. We found her last night. You can tell by tone of voice that they're talking about how bad she looked. Just how bad it was. So, you walk up a second later and it kind of, she just stops. She looks to the high maiden, the high maiden, turns around and looks at a lot of you. Now, did Marcus and Jadzia get changed? - No. - No, so you're still wearing the Overwatch stuff. - Yeah. - Okay. Okay, Liyar's gonna look at you like you're fucking scum right off the bat. And she's kind of deferring to the high maiden on this and the high maiden is kind of looking you over.
And the noble guard is within eyeshot but not there to explain for you. Liyar's gonna pipe up and say, "Is there a reason you're here?" - Oh. - She's directing, like not so much, not so much Fi, Una, and Merlin, but directing it right at Marcus and Jadzia. You know wearing those colors are suicide here, right? - Jadzia's just gonna kind of mumble that she didn't have time to change. - Yeah, we were busy inspecting the unit over there to make sure that it didn't reactivate itself. - Did anyone ask you to do that? - We thought it would be a nice way to repay the gratitude that we have towards them for not, for listening and not killing us on sight since we just escaped.
- And so the high maiden's gonna kind of like hold her hand up and just, it's cool, I'll talk to him, it's fine. And she holds her hand out, Brittana Moonshadow. - Don't know who she's holding it out to, I don't want-- - Anybody, it doesn't, first come first serve, doesn't matter. - Marcus Santa, pleasure to meet you. Anybody else want to introduce themselves? - Yeah, I guess like we'll all shake our hands. - So you all run down, yeah. Introductions all around. - I'll only give her my first name just to be safe. - Me too. - Okay. - Same here. - Is there something we can help you with?
I get the sense that you're in trouble. - Una? - We kind of have to let you take care of this, Una, we don't know what you told the elves. - I was gonna say, no, no thank you, we're just glad to be safe. - Did something attack you? - Several drakes and a big drake. - And the soldiers. - And further back than that, a small group of Overwatch soldiers. - Where was this attack? - The drakes were relatively close by. The attack was closer to Durnhollow. - May I ask why you're in the forest to begin with then? - We knew that there are sympathizers in the forest, that's all we really knew, we just went this way.
- Oh, you wish to join the calls? - For now, we're just glad not to be looking over our shoulders, but possibly at some point. - I'll leave you to Leora then, I have things to attend to. If you have any trouble, just let one of us know and we'll step in. In the meantime, I wish you a speedy recovery. - She's going to try and, she's gonna, kind of traipse off. - Question, was that all on elven? - No, no, no, no, no, no, that's common. - All right. - Most times elves don't assume that you know elven, it's because Una spoke first to the first group in elven, that's like, oh cool, they just, they glom onto it, they love it, but yeah.
- Leora, okay, so overhearing this, she's standing there. So you wanna fight the Overwatch? - Christ, let me say, we've done as much fighting the Overwatch as we can handle for a little bit. - Believe me, I can understand that. Well, looks like you've been through a lot. Do you wanna follow me, I can show you where you can get some rest, we can talk, I can find out a little more about you. - Yeah, thank you, that would be wonderful. - Okay, pajama party. - God, get to know a little bit more about you. So that friend that you picked up, I kind of tortured and abused her, it was really hot.
- There's fan fiction written about it. So she is going to lead you, now there's a, there is a, not a private quarters really, but there is, off to the side, there's the guest stuff, and then there's where Leora's kind of bunked up. And it's kind of nicer digs, it's a nice, like I mean, you're still in the middle of the forest, and I mean, this is still kind of, it's real woodsy, kind of like camping, that kind of thing. But it's a nice, quiet, dry place. And it's kind of a larger place than any of these other lean-to shacks are. And she kind of offers, she opens the door and walks in, and then offers you all to come inside.
- Gavin looks visibly nervous, but still comes in. - Yeah, I'll follow him in. - Yeah. - So stepping inside this shack, you guys can have a seat, there's, I mean, it's the equivalent of chairs, that's kind of more stumps, but you know, you get it. So, really, tell me more about yourselves. It's kind of odd to see just a bunch of humans traveling through the Evergreen. I mean, did you have a real reason, or was it just to seek us out? - Good God, okay. Does new Leora speak up, I don't know. - It wasn't at the time that we were seeking anyone as much as we were just trying to get away from where we were.
- Oh, I would have headed for a city if I were you. I mean, this is a dangerous place to just be wandering around. - So we've learned. - I'm thinking of just like doing a string of lies real quick. - Oh God. - Is anyone against that? Should I just keep this? - What's your bluff? - Plus seven. - Okay, okay. - So Judzia's gonna lean forward a bit and say, we were fleeing because some soldiers from Overwatch saw our friend here change and immediately came after him. - Roll a bluff check. - 22. - Very nice. - Gorgeous. - Your friend's a changeling. - Gavin just shoots daggers at Judzia briefly and then just goes back to looking uncomfortable.
(laughs) - That's the most believable one. - Can I get you guys some water or anything? I mean, you look like you've had a pretty bad day. - That would be appreciated, thank you. - Not a problem. I gotta check on someone anyway. Hold on one second. - Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit, oh shit. - Oh no. - Who is in trouble? - I am so sorry. - So she kind of leaves. She kind of leaves the room and kind of comes back with this pitcher. Kind of a clay pot type of deal, like a homemade type of thing. And there's kind of cups in the same vein and real elegant though. I mean, this is like handcrafted stuff.
Like someone knows their shit and she pours each one of you some water. And she kind of leaves the room again. - Everyone roll a perception check, please. - Eh, not so much this time, 11. - 13. - Nine. - Holy shit, double digits. - 16 is a high. - 16. Jadzi is the only one who's going to overhear just the tiniest scrap. And it sounds like Lior is talking to someone, kind of a real nurturing tone, like checking to see if they're all right. - Aw. - And then you can hear, say, we have visitors if you're feeling up to talking. And then kind of a grumble and then, say, okay, okay.
And then she kind of comes back out to the room. You'll have to excuse me, I'm kind of playing, kind of playing nursemaid a little bit. We have not had the greatest week here. I guess it's going around though. And she's looking at you guys who have been clawed and mauled and all kinds of awful, you know. So where are you guys from? What city? - I'm from a little town outside of Overwatch. Just was a farmer for the longest time. - I'm from Durn Hollow. Not a lie, yeah. - Marcus's is not a lie either. Going down the line. - Overwatch, actually. - Um, that is going to stop her in her tracks.
You're from the Overwatch. - Yeah, that's where I was born. - When did you leave? - Pretty recently. - You mind if I ask why? - Well, I trained at a temple for a while and came back to Overwatch, got pretty disgusted by some things and left. - Which is not really a bluff because oh, that's kind of true. - Except the leaving part. - Well, we did technically leave Overwatch. - Are we there right now? - No. - Right, that's the road we have left. - Right, I didn't make you roll, calm down. I just... And she's going to say, "I lived there for a while myself. Me and a friend of mine became increasingly disgusted with things and he had the good sense to leave before me, but eventually I wised up and left too." What about you?
And she looks at Fee. - I'm from one of the small farms on the outskirts of Overwatch. - I thought those were all abandoned now. Didn't they clear out the entire area? - Yeah, yeah. Well, I was originally from there, moved closer into the center, but yeah, same as my friend here. And I look at Una. - So she... Look, I understand that fighting may not be what you want to do, but I'll be honest, we can always use the help. If what our friends are saying is true, then there's a fight coming. And honestly, we can use some good people like you. - I'm going to say, when the time comes, you can believe that we will be fighting.
Not above. - Ha. - That actually means a lot. You may not think a couple of people could make a difference, but more and more, I'm finding out that that's simply not true. Staggering into the room. - Oh shit. - I'm just glad that she didn't finally go, "Hey, by the way, what about you?" So. - Right, no, it- - Gavin's been doing his best to kind of keep to himself and just look really hella sullen so that he's ignored. - Right. - You're hoping, essentially. - Right. - Yeah, brooding. Brooding, I can't do it quite like Vampire Thorol, but. - Oh. - Staggering into- - Gavin really misses his hat.
You can definitely see everyone's all just running into his hair, kind of thing. Like it's not there for him to adjust the brim. - I'm prepared for this, I am prepared. - Staggering into the room is this frail looking girl, coated in bruises, hair kind of swooped down over half her face. And she's kind of, like she was either resting or passed out or something. And she's kind of just like groggy walking into the room. And then she- - Well. - She kind of raises her head and then, like you can see her eyes are trying to adjust, and then her eyes just go wide.
- Okay. - As all five of you are sitting in the room. - I'm gonna leap up and like run to her and say, "Brie, Brie, I got them to come, we left." - Okay, okay, okay, okay. - Well, okay. - Okay. - Okay. - Gavin, Marcus, Jadzia, how are you reacting to this? - Yeah, the eyes and our wide now narrowed completely. - Jadzia is actually just gonna like let out kind of almost a relief sigh. Like she's kind of happy. - What about Marcus? - Well, considering I heard a bit of a conversation from before that would have clued me into a little bit of this, I'm stunned and I'm not going to say anything at the moment.
I'm just going to look at her. - Okay. Brie's freaking out. Like this is not, this was not the agreed upon. Okay, I'm gonna roll a bluff check. - Was I lying? - That was too, okay look. - That was your plan. - Come on. - Okay, okay, let's see. I'm gonna give her like the most charming smile I can and that'll be my plus one for Seducer. 21, so my 22. - That's not really part of the Seducer thing, but okay. - Well, she's also just hugged her. - Yeah. - That's true. - She ran her arm down the other arm. (laughing) - Stroke the back of her neck a little bit. - Oh, shit.
(laughing) - This is the opening fire. - She, okay, so after you, okay, you hug her and you're telling this and are you serious? Okay, this is not what we agreed upon. You told me to lay low. I've been cooped up in this damn cabin all day. You know I have things to do. I told you I was gonna, I made a promise to you just like you made one to me. I told you I was gonna lay low. If you're serious and you're defecting? - Is part of my bluff the, if I say yes? - This is more clarification, I guess, 'cause that's kinda what you were bluffing is I got them to come or we've left, that kinda thing.
- Okay, I'm just gonna say, well, clearly our defection isn't official, but we left Overwatch. - Oona's like the Jack fucking Sparrow of our group, guys. Like who's side is she on now? I don't know. - She's gonna look past Oona and look at everyone in the room who thought she was dead. - I literally thought that until this exact moment. - Oh, and she's just gonna kinda peer around Oona. Hi? - Silence. - Dead silence, okay. - I'll say hello. - He says hello, Joe. - They had no fucking idea, did they? (Oona laughing) - Nope. - So what happens now exactly? - We've been through one hell of a day.
Honestly, we'd like to just rest and kind of take in what's just happened. If you don't mind. - Someone's gonna be looking for you? - Fuck 'em. - No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You don't understand. If they're looking for you, that means I imagine they sent you here or somewhere close to here. - They won't know where we've gone. - What I'm asking is, should we be getting ready for a fight? - No, no. - That's true enough. - Yeah, I'm thinking. - They should not be getting ready for a fight. It's better for us if they don't get ready for a fight. - No, no.
(laughs) - Bree, you have to understand, our unit is considered expendable. If we don't come back, they don't care. - I kinda doubt that. - That's how it's been since we started. We were set up to fail. We were expected to fail and we were, to be honest, disappointed our first sergeant when we came back. So they have expected us to fail at every time, so they do not expect us to come back. And if they do, they don't expect all of us to come back. - She's just, so, Leor is like, "Wait, wait, wait. You know her? How do you know her?" And then Breanna's gonna kind of look at Leor, "Ah." And she's not very quick on the draw when it comes to lying.
Especially when it comes to Leor, because they know each other so well. And Leor is more of a mother figure? - Oh, she's a mother, all right. - She is. (laughs) - She's one bad mother. - Leor's gonna stand up and walk up to Bree. What aren't you telling me? - Everything. I'm not telling you everything. - Bree, just say the nice stuff about her. Please. And, um. - Skip over the "We beat you into submission" part. - What's this "We" Kimo Sabe? - Hey, you helped the bad side of it. - Bree's just kind of like, almost like a child who's just kind of caught in a lie.
Like almost, almost like that. Okay. You know how I got captured and I told you about how I got out of the city. And Leor's just, "Yeah?" And then she just kind of like points, like she just kind of like waves a hint. It's like, "Ta-da!" Like that's, like she just kind of. - I'm gonna wave. - Yeah, hi. - Presto. - Leor is going to grab the hilt of her broadsword and start to pull it. - Everybody roll initiative. - Gavin's going too if she's going for hers. - Okay, Brianna is going to like almost leap on Leor's back 'cause Leor's bigger than Bree by a considerable amount.
- Yeah, and the sword goes back in at that point. Like, "Oh crap." - It's like, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no." Look, it's okay. This is a long story. Just, just let me explain. And if you wanna do something after that, we can do that, okay? Just please. And Leor kind of puts the sword away and just real, just like arms folded. It's like, "All right, let's make this good." So Brianna tells her everything, everything. Like you're sitting here. If you wanna try to interrupt or change facts or something, but otherwise Brianna is going to tell her the truth 100% honestly.
- That's totally true. - I wanna hear who unlocked her. - From what point? - By paying attention. - Yeah, can we hear that part of the truth too? - Yes, let's pay attention. (laughing) - Story time. - I would like to clarify to her that when we attacked Bri, we didn't know who she was. We thought she was a messenger with information and that's what we were trying to get. We didn't find out who she was until after. - Right, and as you're, yeah, they didn't know I could so thoroughly kick their ass. They had no idea who I was. It wasn't. So she's telling this story and when she gets to the part about the shackles, she kind of just says, you know who unlocked me.
And then I just, like she skips, like she kind of like vaguely, and so she tells her everything. So Liard just kind of, after it's all on the table, Liard just kind of spins around. So let me get this straight. As of yesterday, you're all from the city of Overwatch. Everything you've just told me is a lie. - Nope. - No. We didn't lie about where we were from. - Not at all. - Okay, you didn't tell me the whole truth. How about that? - Would you have come into this telling the whole truth really? - I wouldn't have come here. So she's more exasperated than anything.
What exactly do you want to do? Are you trying to join the calls? Are you like, what is the game? - So ma'am, we're going to blow up the Warforged that you have. - No, no, no. (laughing) I'm just gonna say, right now, we're just terrified people looking to rest for once in forever. - You know, we haven't exactly gotten off from the right foot trust-wise here. I don't, you understand we're gonna have to have you under guard while you're staying here. - Okay, Bree told you the story. You know how serious I am with vows. - And she kind of looks over at Bree, and Bree's like shaking her head.
- Yeah, yeah. - Okay, I got to think about how to word this correctly. Shit, okay. - Hold on, hold on, hold on. - I'm very good with vows with loopholes in them. - Yeah, that's the whole point though, you know? - I will not hurt a living thing. - Unless someone attacks us, I won't hurt a living thing, living soul. - You might not want to say soul, Warforged. - Yeah, good point. A living thing, we'll stick with thing. - You guys are lawyers at this point. - My dad is a lawyer. - Well, let's draft up this profit here. - Shout out to James Janwick. - Now we'll fax it over to your people.
- Yeah. Take a look at it and get back to us. - Three business days and then we'll be solid. - She, okay, Leora is clearly uncomfortable with this. And Bree's gonna kind of pull her to the side. Just, okay, look. I don't, I know I don't have a good reason to, but I do trust Oona. And Leora's kind of gonna interrupt her. Wait a second. And she, her head shifts right back to, how much of this did you do? And she points at Brianna's face. - How much of it did I do? I'd say, like, I don't know, 15%. I healed most of it. - So she healed, yeah. - No, that was mostly Poe.
- Yeah, the recent stuff is mostly Poe. - You're telling her that? - I'm gonna say I took care of the person who did the most recent stuff. - Is he dead? - He probably wishes he was, he peed himself. - Where is he? - We'll draw you a map to the exact location he is if you want. - As long as you don't kill us. - I did not say that. - Promise that you won't kill me. - Damn song. (laughing) - At this point, okay. Brianna's vouching for you guys. - Pretty cool. - I, look, I'll personally take care of something if it goes wrong. I trust Una. She's not going to do anything to betray us.
Just... - Fuck you, Jason. - Fuck you. - This is beautiful. - This is excruciating. - They could have killed me. In fact, I think some of them were trying to, and she's kind of glaring at Marcus and Jadzia specifically. But look, what's done is done. It's not a problem. But if you want to keep them under guard, go ahead. I don't think it's going to be a problem. I trust her when she says that they've defected. And Leora's just going to look at, she's going to look at Brianna for a while and, all right, I guess we'll show you some place you can stay around here.
You should go back and get some rest. And she's talking to Brianna. And it's more of a mother, like, just go. Like, I don't care if you want to, do it. And Leora is going to escort you to a more permanent place you can sleep if you're going to follow her. - Sounds good. - Yeah. - Don't know that we have a lot of choice right now. - This has gotten sticky in a hurry, hasn't it? - My mind is racing with possible ways to get out of this. And I am coming up with snake eyes on most of them. - No, it's easy. We just, whenever like the camp dies down, we all go out to stare at the War Forge thing or whatever, blow it up, book it.
- I really wish I could talk to somebody in charge about the War Forge, because I'd like to point out that they're going to try and tie down something that cut this path through the trees. Do they really think that is going to help? That's why we were trying to take the gems out. - Why are you guys actually trying to take the gems out? - They're valuable. - Yeah, one, they're valuable. These were gems put into a prototype. I'm assuming they're probably larger than average. - Oh God, yes. - Okay, there's the reason right there. Good guess on my part. But two, it was getting us close there.
And if we could have pried them out and explained to them that was why, and had they bought it, it would have given Gen Z a chance to drop the bombs. - Like into the head. - Into the head, lay them across the chest, whatever she had to do, get the fuse and get us out of there. But, you know, tuck them under the armpit for all I care. - It's a nice big hole in the chest. - Heck yeah. - I'm gonna put it in that axe sized hole there. - Yeah, that storm renderish sized hole. - Looks like a storm rendered it in fact. - Yeah, so okay. - Drop the explosives, run away.
This is for Todd. - Yeah, Leora is gonna show you to, it's not a very large place. This is more, you're seeing a lot of white ravens kind of hanging around too. This is like a lot of them. And this is more of a, she's gonna kind of open the door. It's not the greatest, but it looks like anything that'll keep the rain off your head would be pretty welcome. If you need anything, let us know, all right? - All right. - And she's gonna reach out and shake Una's hand. - I'm gonna look at her, like look her dead in the eye. And just say, thank you, whatever happens or anything, thank you.
- She's gonna kind of pull you close. - Oh God. - She's gonna say, I really appreciate you doing what you did for Bree. And there's nothing I can do that would repay you. But just know that I owe you a debt, all right? - I'm gonna like really quietly, like lower my voice so that nobody else can hear it. And say, repay it by keeping her alive no matter what. - Aww. - And she just kind of nods her head. And then she's gonna let go of your hand and turn away. - All right. - Eyepatch, swish and walk away. (laughing) - The second she's out of the room, Judzia is going to, she's pretty short, but she is gonna like bear hug Una and just say thank you, like over and over again.
Like this had been bearing on her mind way more than she had shown anyone it had been. So she's just incredibly grateful. - Okay, yeah, I'll hug her back. I understand what she's talking about. - As soon as Una looks over at Marcus, I'm gonna rub my mouth where she punched me. (laughing) And say, when this mission is complete one way or the other, we need to talk. You got some 'splaining to do, Lucy. - Una's just gonna be like, I will sit on a chair with my hands behind my back, Marcus. - What's Gavin doing? - Just seething, just utterly just furious and keeping it to himself.
Doing his best right now, just you can sell the look in his eyes that he's doing his best to try to formulate the best way to come up with it. Kind of like what Scott had said earlier about the whole crap ton of plans, everything's coming up snake eyes. You can definitely tell him, mostly like, no, yes, yes, no, that's gonna, no. Next, you know, that's what he's doing right now. He looks like he's just putting his energies towards, you know, trying to figure out the best way to get out of this because as he stands, it's not, he's not joining this and whatnot.
You can definitely tell that he's not defecting. He's not on board with this supposed plan as it may be. He doesn't know, obviously, that Una was saying anything. His perception, yeah, his past perception's so bad that if there was any bluffs, he would have bought into them immediately. - Really? - All right, Gavin, we're gonna have to work together on this one and try and figure something out. I don't know how we're gonna do this just yet, but we will find a way. - Oh, can't do that one either. - Let me describe your situation. You are smack dab in the middle of the Evergreen, the largest forest in all of Theria.
Heavily wooded, except for the path that the titan cut through. You are in the most heavily concentrated elven territory in all of Theria. There are elves scattered about Theria, but this is the most highly concentrated area among them. You are smack dab not only in the middle of their homeland, but their home itself, Kalkas. Like, you're right there. You are also surrounded by white ravens. The thing you need to blow up is literally in eyesight. You can see it. It's right there. But if you don't pull this off just right, you will have so many fucking arrows and swords in you.
I don't even need to really break it down any further than that, but what would you like to do here? Are you trying to buy time? Are you waiting till nightfall? What would you like to do? - How far is the, where's Pose group? How far away are they? Half a day, quarter day, a day's travel? - You're looking at about, let me see here. You would be about half a day's travel through the woods. Luna, I could make your day. And Marcus is not happy with the situation, but how many people were doing that duty? Were doing the digging of latrines and whatnot. How many people were there?
- Oh, well, geez. That's a pretty big, considering it's both punishment and how people get started, there's a lot of them there. We're talking in that area, probably five, 600. Like, I mean, that's a pretty big, like they do shifts and yeah, people cycle on and off. - All right, and they're standard issue army? They're armed? Okay. Gavin, how does this potentially sound? If we go to them and tell them as a good faith gesture, here is a, there's a large contingent of Overwatch that is fortifying a position less than a day from here. They are not ready yet.
If you send your troops there now, you have a good chance at taking them out and severely weakening the Overwatch. They don't need to know that these are beginner troops. They don't need to know that these are all privates, just learning. It would distract a large amount of their forces to go after them. We can exaggerate on how many there are slightly. We don't want to go overboard, but we know there's 500 plus there. We can tell them that. If we can distract a large part of their force and at least get them worried going that way, we have a shot at going after the Titan, dropping the explosives and getting the hell out of here.
Didn't you just say that you put Overwatch above everything else? They are Overwatch troops. They can handle themselves. So could have Jedzea's father if that had gone through? No. Given that same. Different kind, this is a combat situation. I trust those troops to have been trained. They should be able to handle themselves. They're not wearing proper body armor. Then tell them that it's half the force. Tell them there's only 250 troops there. We have a mission to complete. That unit out there could potentially devastate Overwatch if they can figure out how to get it back up and running.
This has to be done. Do we still have a mission? Do we follow that plan exactly except for send them the wrong way? No, but they're gonna know where we came from is the idea. They know we have been that way, so we have passed through that area. We would have information as to what is there. So much poor intel and trickery has gone through here. I'm not even certain exactly where everybody's allegiances lie. Kind of gives the whole room a scan. Like this plan is sounding an awful lot like an avatar where Zuko got half his face burned off because someone, the general said exactly that plan that you just gave.
Never saw the movie, so. Why don't we- But don't watch the movie. Oh, the movie is the worst. I wanna watch the show, but we're getting off track. Sorry. Why don't we just go to inspect the warforged, blow it up, and if shit goes down and it turns bad, we just say that it's got a self-destruct feature. Like the sound of that- Because they're gonna wonder why it hasn't destructed in a week. We can say that you guys fiddling with the eyes triggered it. No, 'cause then they'll shoot us for figuring with the fiddling with the eyes. Well, they wouldn't shoot us if it was an accident.
Anyway, the way I see it, we're gonna first off- I like that plan better than let's sacrifice a bunch of soldiers just to finish our mission. Exactly. The other option I'm thinking is we're likely gonna need to gather up whatever kind of horses we can here. If it's getting towards dark, we can't see anyway. We're gonna need to try to put as much distance between us and them as soon as we get this blown up. It also looks like this is gonna be a situation where I think we're in agreement. Any one of us falls, we don't go back. We just hope that they're put to death quickly enough.
This isn't like the drow situation in which we had enough time between the explosives to go back and get everyone. Fair enough. All right, so- Just so I want clarification from everyone. Sorry, Jason. No, no, no, go. Where do our allegiances lie? Mine is with Overwatch as it always has been. I could just say, yeah, okay, he looks then at Fi. My allegiance is with Overwatch. Jedzia. Overwatch. Una. She says, "Brie," I'm gonna punch her in the face. Strength and courage. Very well. Okay. Okay, this is interesting. So you're, okay, you are both waiting for nightfall, and then you're gonna kind of look around for horses.
Yeah, I think maybe we can get one, you know, nevermind. Go ahead. Everyone roll a perception check for me, please. 24, holy shit. Six. You still beat Gavin, whatever. Congratulations, you beat Captain Clueless. Be the guy with no modifier on his perception roll. Okay. Looking around the camp, you can see that there are some horses tied up. These look to be the same horses that the ravens were using when they rode into Durnhollow a few days back. Oh, the beautiful ones. They are kind of tied up. Who is hitting their microphone? Sorry, that was me. Ah, that's cool.
They are tied up, and they could in a pinch be stolen. What would you like to do? It's like, I don't wanna stretch this out too much longer, so lay it on me, what would you like to do here? End the episode there. All right, so we need to make sure that the explosives are brought over there. Jadzia still has those, and she seems the best to be able to get up there to look at it. We're going to probably bring somebody with her. I'll go with her, we'll both go up there together, and take a look at it. We're both the most arcane trained. In the meantime, we'll have Una, Marcus, and Fi gather up the horses.
We'll have to time it fairly close, give us approximately five minutes, then go ahead and, at that point, come over to us with the horses. We'll set off the bomb regardless of what's going to happen, and we all mount and get the hell out of there. All right, let's synchronize sundials. Pretty much. I hate to put a snag in the plan, but they have already seen us paying attention to the Titan thing. They haven't seen me. If you wanna hang back, I'll take the explosives. Well, I feel like they're gonna be watching it closely, and we should send someone who's very stealthy, like Fi.
Yeah, I kinda do. Realize that this is gonna be a high stealth check. You're in the middle of an open field with nothing there. It's dark! And there's a-- With elves with night vision. I think it's best to just wander up to it straight up. Just walk up to it as if you're just looking at it. You're surrounded by what is essentially the Therian equivalent of navy seals with night vision goggles all over, just a clearing full of them, so yeah. This would be an abnormally high stealth check. Yeah, not a good idea to distract them and send them somewhere else.
Okay. That was a thick veneer of sarcasm. That was... Crafted that in a workshop. Put it on a lathe and shake. Yeah, you'll have a lot of sarcasm. Jason, the equipment that they gave me, Una, and Gavin, are they the same as what they are wearing? For the most part, the ravens, yeah. For the most part, yeah. It's just kind of a mishmash of leather and cloth. Question. Yes. How much damage does the bomb do? Numbers? Much. Much. Enough to take down a cavern, so you're, I mean, you want, I don't wanna give you the actual numbers, 'cause it's more of a surprise. Just know much.
So if I went up there and did my flames of Phlegithos, wouldn't quite make it, wouldn't be the same? 'Cause that requires no setup, and I can do it from 10 things away. Well, just know that the Overwatch pretty much want this thing in pieces, making sure that it can't be used. That bomb would take care of that. That's the same kind of bomb that took out an entire cavern, like an entire-- It took a lot of damage already, that's basically that, if not more. So yeah, we need the bomb. V, could you shape-shift into an elf? That's what I was thinking. Okay.
But, which is why I asked about the armor. Although, saying that, changing into a-- I mean, it's not like a uniform. Like, that's the thing. Like, the elves and the ravens, the only thing that uniforms the ravens is that the armband. Like, the rest of it, I mean, it's just pretty much whatever clothes you have on. So, if you were to shape-shift into an elf, it wouldn't be, like, abnormal. Okay. You can speak elven. I can speak elven. So you could theoretically walk up and-- But I get a bonus if I'm human. You could pretend to be me. I'd take that hit. Well, I was thinking more, I could pretend to be a random white raven.
That makes sense. Yeah. Hey, can I perception check the room we're in? The little shack? Sure. Yeah. I wanna do a history check on it. 15, that's not great. I was hoping to, like, check and see if there's any clothing lying about. I know that'd be awfully convenient, but-- For the most part, this is-- We still wanna keep our armband off. This is totally bare bones. This is really, this is just, there's a couple of beds, there's, I mean, it's just to keep the rain off of you, just to keep you out of the elements. We got the broom closet, guys. Well, I mean, you're not even technically one of the ravens or the elves, you're just kind of guests, really, so.
It's better than camping. Be our guest, be our guest. I mean, how much is the bonus if you are human? Is it, like, one or two? 'Cause then it's-- Five. Five, that's quite a bonus. (laughing) You could take a shot at trying to be one of the white ravens that we've seen. Maybe Brianna, 'cause we know she's in bed, but then you might get stopped by Liara, 'cause she'll be mad that Brianna's not in bed. I was thinking more just, like, generic, random white raven, because by the sounds of it, there's quite a few of them here. He looks just like Bill. Boy, I bet you guys wish you can go back about an hour and stop Una from saying a certain thing.
What might that be? Oh, too bad we hadn't met him. I'd love to see him. (laughing) Could have Fi show up as Thorel's son and go walking around going, "Hey guys, I'm really excited. "I'd like to see this place. "Can I go take a look at it? "I really wanna see it." What do you guys wanna do here? I feel like all the white ravens would know each other. Just being a random person wouldn't really work. But are there any white ravens out at night, or are they all bedded down? I mean, this is elven territory. Yes, it's elven territory, but I mean, by nature, everyone here pretty much has to remain on high alert.
It was a week ago that there was a massive attack on their homeland. It's not exactly, "Well, okay, quit in time. "Everyone go to bed." It's not really-- I just didn't know if it, because the humans wouldn't have the advantage of night vision, if they would say, "All right, well, we'll pay better "attention in the daytime. "You elves take the night shift." It's more of a teamwork thing, like they're all gonna-- Maybe we oughta just jump on the horses, ride by the titan, drop the stuff in, and ride on. That could work too. To a drive-by on it. (laughing) Drive-by bombing.
We'd be bumping fat beets and stuff like that, rolling by real slow, toss the thing, and then paul ass. Ooh. Guys, we can never, ever, ever defect ever again. What do you mean, again? Well, like-- (laughing) You know, we can never, at no point, ever, no matter what we do, can we come back and be like, "Sorry about that." (laughing) You know? Aw, are you afraid of burning a bridge? Yeah. (laughing) Yes, you are. All right, let's move forward with this. I like the idea of riding over, dropping the thing, and then blowing it up. Fuck us, we're terrible people.
So, your plan is to grab some of these horses, and then just saddle up, and just make a run for it, basically, just try to make a run for it. Okay, two things I need to know. One, who's carrying the explosive right now? Is it still Jatzia? We should probably pass that to someone whose athletics isn't plus zero. A fee. Yeah, it's a fee. Yeah, but we got a plus two. What was it? Athletics. Athletic, that's a plus three. Acrobatics? I've got a plus eight. Acrobatics is-- I'll take it if it's throwing it, 'cause I can do that. I'll be responsible for that. Okay. All right.
Everyone, make a stealth check. A stealth of horses? Whoa, remember the last time that happened? Well, you're going, this is a, what you're doing is you're trying, see, okay, let me point out your situation. The horses aren't next to the titan in any way, shape, or form. So, that, hence the drive-by. So, basically you were on one end of this field, and you're going to try and, I mean, you don't want them firing at you immediately, is what I'm saying. You want every advantage possible. Okay, so we're doing a stealth check for stealing the horses, right? Basically, yes.
Can I do a thievery check? It's a little higher. I'm gonna take the horse and put it in my pocket. (laughing) Pocket horse. Okay, fair. It's a miniature horse. I was gonna say, also, Una, it may be beneficial that you strip down to leather, and you have no, you know, that, 'cause that was all the penalty that you had on that check. Yep. Wait, what? You guys are wearing lighter armor now, so you get, well, some of you. So, the penalty you got to your check was because you're wearing big, you're basically got a bunch of pots and pans strapped to you so now you're all light and not encumbered.
It's not a zero? Yeah, basically it's like a straight D20 roll. I'm gonna add one to, I guess, to mine or whatever, so I get 14. Yeah. Shit-a-ronies, guys. Sweet. Should I even bother after Izzy rolled a two? I mean, hey, if I fuck up, like, I can just be like, you know, I'll figure something out. Okay. I'm a fucking ghost right now. (laughing) Who said that? I rolled a 20. That tickled me so, that tickled me so fucking... A fucking ghost right now. You're the one changing the clocks in my house. And that is Shadow Walk. Yeah. Sorry, I had to tweet that 'cause I just fucking made my night.
I don't know why. Okay, that's done. Okay. Some of these stealth rules are good. Some of these are not so good. As previously determined, Jadzi is a fucking ghost right now. And now, Jason, good is subjective. Yeah, well, not when there are hard numbers attached to it. Oh. That and the whole good and subjective thing is getting harder and harder to justify. Fucking over people like this. Yeah. Yeah, no, we're horrible fucking people and we should go die. Yeah, at this point. Oh, wow. Okay, here's what's gonna happen. Jadzia and, so Jadzia and Fi are gonna saddle up and like, no one's noticing this and they're kind of like getting their horses ready.
And then, oh man. And then- Good thing Oona stripped off her plate armor. Yeah, Jesus, man. Screaming, "Horses!" (laughing) Fucking love horses. I just remember with all the volume of like a Terry Crews, just, "I love horses!" Just like screaming in a field. Oh, oh, oh, oh, horses! (laughing) Okay, so Jadzia, Fi saddle up and they kind of pull their horses to the side. They're ready to go. Not a peep, it's okay. Not as much so with Gavin and Marcus. They, like it's a little more like, like lots of noises with the horses. They're clumping around and everything, but they're ready to ride off.
Now, I would say, as soon as you have your horses ready, you're going. Like this is not a thing where you can just stand around. Right. So as soon as you get your horses, you are riding, like you're taking off. Oona rolled a two. Fi- She jumped on her horse backwards. Fi is gonna hang back whilst Oona's not being able to get onto the horse. Okay. Kaj said, "Go, go." No, Gavin needs to go. He's got the explosives. Yeah, I'm not looking back. We've made that agreement. Yeah, that was the point of that whole agreement thing. We will have set a meeting point to where if we get split up because of this, we have to go back and get together at a certain point.
So just go. Oh, wow. Okay, this could go badly. Fi's staying back with- Don't go. With Oona. All right. There is a tremendous amount of noise as Oona tries to pull this horse aside and it just starts winning and kicking. And just like, it's not having any of it. She does not have a bond with nature, let's say. Oona, that's not what we meant by mounting the horse. (laughing) Oh, snap. Thank you. Meanwhile, your teammates are streaking across this open field. There are cries coming from the elves as they're shouting things in elven, thieves, and they're shouting things akin to that.
And that is when you can hear 100 bow strings going taunt. Gavin, make an athletics roll to toss this on your way past to toss the explosives. I imagine you've lit them. Yes. Now make an athletics check to toss. Now, the higher the number, the more accurate the toss is going to be. All right. 10. The explosives kind of go wide and it kind of lands near its left arm. Like it's not, it's definitely not dead center. And so this fuse is ticking away. Meanwhile, God. Meanwhile, Oona is still struggling to get this horse under control, but she is on it now. On the other end of the field, before they are out of sight, I'm going to roll and attack as a volley of arrows is heading towards that, towards Marcus, Gavin, and Jadzia.
Crit miss. Yes. Versus your reflex. They just weren't ready, that's all. They weren't ready. They didn't, they were told you guys were cool. What idiot rides a horse at night with explosives? Yeah. This idiot. They were also told you guys. We have the surprise of stupidity on our side, huh? They were told you were cool. So they, they kinda now, Fi and Oona, you have a choice to make. Do you make a run for it or do you surrender? I don't want to surrender because that's not in Oona's character. So the only thing that we could do would be like, to either like get off the horses and be like, and like try and look like we were trying to stop them or we can race after them and yell stuff like, come back here you fuckers.
Like, you know. Run after them, I say. Run after them? Yeah, it's like, come on Oona, we gotta go. Okay, yeah, let's spur the horses and be like, come back here, we'll catch them. Like. All right. All right. Fuck me. Okay, so, okay. Okay. Oona is doing the yelling, correct? Yes. Okay. As you're riding, go ahead, make a bluff check please. Okay. Um, crap, here we go. Critmas. No, please stop. One for sudoku. (laughing) We won't get that so hard. See, also yell stuff. Maybe if I just appear on this. No, no, no, no, no. I just asked if Oona was the one yelling and that was, yeah.
That's why I specifically asked. Fuck. I did so well on the other bluffs. No, please stop. You didn't fool the horses with that one. (laughing) Horses looking back like, yeah, whatever. Here's what's gonna happen. Um, they, wow, okay. We're gonna add a plus two to your reflexes because you are on horses and you are much faster than if you were on, let's say foot. They are going to get, they are going to attack you each individually because they are ready for you this time. It's not just a volley of arrows, they are aiming at you. Let's start with Fi. 17 versus your reflex.
With my new reflex it misses. All right. Beautiful. And here's where I die. Now, Oona is just a bit further behind. Please let me either not die or totally fucking die because if I survive this and I have to look at Bri, I will slit my wrists. You could make your shelf, the explosions are-- You're gonna survive. No, I'm not. What? Oh wait, oh wait, we get plus two to our reflexes. Thank God. Plus two to your reflexes, 14. All right, they're gonna get one more attack against you each just because that is a large gap to clear and there's a lot of error. I don't wanna do it, but it just, they, it's just, come on.
Yeah. One more against Fi, 17, that is gonna miss. And Oona, one more time, as long as it isn't a 16 or higher, correct? Yeah, I'm fucked. Okay, get ready. It's okay, I'm preparing. Totally. Yeah, that'll hit. It's okay, it's okay. You're, oh man, okay. The horse also dies? The horse gets the worst of it. Oh no, okay, just give me Martyr's Blessing. Hold on. Take the damage to the horse. Get Martyr's Blessing the horse, just hold on. The horse-- That way the horse can keep running. That's a good fucking point. Yeah, the-- Lay on hands the horse. You've used your lay on hands for the day.
I haven't used my Martyr's Blessing though. Would you stop? The horse is not your ally. It clearly made that, it made that clear earlier. It doesn't want any part of you. Rather die than-- Yeah, rather die. I'm just imagining the moment on Hero where all those arrows come from nowhere, the storm. Am I the only one who's seen that? Yep. I know what you're talking about. Holy shit, that part, man. Just picturing 300. Yeah, that's another kind of thing. Same kind of thing, yeah. Quite the shade. Your, Una's legs are riddled with arrows. They're aiming for the horse to stop you.
But a side effect of that is there are arrows going through your leg and into the horse. This horse stumbles forward and just tumbles end over end and you are caught in that. So let's roll. I'll do a flat x check to jump off. Wait, you're pinned to the horse. I flat x check to rip the arrows out and jump. That's pretty badass. Permission to John McClane this shit, please. I'm gonna roll five D10. Flat damage because this is a tremendous amount of damage that's being done. You are running full speed on a horse, tumbling end over end in a kind of a rocky field.
The arrows, yep, understood. So if this doesn't kill you outright, well, let's see if it kills you outright. It kills me outright, it kills me outright. If it doesn't, can I start running? We'll get to that when we get to that, get ready. Okay. 37 damage. I'm still conscious. You are at three hit points. You are also pinned under this horse. You are, you, okay. There are torches lit everywhere and they're just gonna close in on you, bows drawn. And you are clearly in no shape to fight back. She throws a punch at the first leg. Honestly, I might have to. You have, this is very, very clear.
You have two choices. One, you just say, you got me. Like you surrender outright. You are pinned under a horse, which you are. My max carry weight is like 800. Can I move it and run? A horse from you, really? Come on, you're at three hit points. You're not gonna pick up a horse off of you. No, not pick it up, but you can like, I could squish my leg out from underneath it. Okay, I'd even, okay, I'm gonna give you your options. Okay. Your other option is to struggle and they're standing at point blank range. Okay, fuck that, yeah. Okay, so you're surrendering. No, let me think about this for a couple of seconds.
Okay, I'll give you a couple of seconds 'cause this is how we're ending the episode either way. Oh fuck, okay. Can't one of the elves just knock her out so she doesn't have to make this decision, really? Yeah, please, that'd be beautiful. Okay, we can totally do that. Just hit her with a hilt of something. That's the only way she's going down. We could totally do that. Like at this point you're helpless and this elf is going to, one of the elves is just going to kind of wander up and just kind of put his boot, just like just plant it in your head, just boom.
Like you just knock you out. About that time, the explosives from the, from the Titan go off. That is 10 D10 damage, 62 damage. A massive explosion kind of rips through this Titan and takes the arm clean off and does some extensive work on the torso region, but it is not in, it is not as decimated as it should be. Like it's not as ruined as it could be. This is a thing where every elf in the area is just startled, just like what the fuck? And there is a fire now that they're trying desperately to put out. And they are going to, there's a large sect of elves that are going to take care of that as they are going to take the arrows out of Una's leg and kind of pry her out from under that horse and drag her away.
And I think that's a good time for us to stop this evening. - Fuck. - Fuck. - Just gets worse and fucking worse. Like group three everybody. - So let's go save fucking Una. That's next episode. - Bree's gonna rip my fucking eyes out. - Yeah, she is. - She is going to do terrible things to my nerves. - To be fair, if anyone had to be left behind, you're the only one with shit to do. - I don't think so. I think I'm the last person 'cause I was like, guys, we defected and I love you. - She may get it worse. - She may get it, like, oh yeah. She openly lied to them.
- No, please stop. - Depends on how well you can bluff her and say they turned on me. - I don't know, man. This is- - To be honest, Una was definitely contemplating like just staying. - Well, now you don't have a choice. - Yeah. - Now it's- - This is some heavy shit. - I'm pretty sure Jodzia's not even gonna like go home. She's gonna turn around as soon as she realizes Una's gone. - Well, we're gonna, I don't, man, this took such a turn today. I was, this is another situation where it'd be like, well, let's try and diplomasize. I'm like, all right, we'll see how this goes.
And then an hour later, it's like, this is where we are. Wow, okay. - I just, I don't understand why Una would want to even talk at that point when we first met the elves. She is a punch first person and now she decides to talk. - Maybe it's kind of like- - Maybe it's an elven nature. - I mean, there could be that, but it's kind of like, we just took a hell of a beating. Like we can, like, it's braver to try and just boldly walk in there and like- - With a bunch of lies. - Yeah, with a bunch of fucking lies and like do our fucking duty than it is to like, than this to like fight the elves and try and sneak in, like, I don't know.
- God, that's so fucked. - I'm trying to envision a way that Una's not gonna die and I don't- - No, I should die, honestly. Like for story purposes, I should die. - I'm already thinking about what I'm gonna do and I just, I don't, oh man, Jesus Christ. Like that, like, oh, wow. - I just feel like Brianna's personality, like she wouldn't want, even if like she got turned on. - She wouldn't want, that's the thing though. She wouldn't wanna hurt you, but at the same time, like you openly lied to her and let her gush about you and speak up for you and fucking lie to her best friend and it just, oh my God.
- The only thing I could possibly do is like hopefully trigger some sort of thing where it's like, you don't know, like I wanted to help you guys, but like I'm bound to these people 'cause I care about them and like, that's the only thing I could possibly do. - If you're gonna think of- - I don't even know if that'd be enough. - If you're gonna think of something, Una, you're gonna have to put the black hat on Marcus 'cause I'm the one who supposedly turned on you before. That is gonna be your only out. I am going to, I'm gonna be growing devil horns by the time you spout this story out.
- Jesus Christ. - You kind of are an out. - I'm gonna look, I'm gonna make Malchus look like a choir boy. - Malchus is gonna look like Marcus. - Malchus is gonna look like a holy angel by the time the story is done. - I like how Gavin kind of lost control of the party and like you can tell he's pissed about it. (laughing) - My fears. - Like you could just kind of pouty about it almost. I don't know if you're intentionally playing it that way, but like it's just bullshit. - No, it wasn't really pouty, it was more like, what can I do? I mean, I could have- - Right.
- Gavin couldn't really rage or whatever. I mean, it was a really bad time for something like that. I was more like, what can we do? Okay, focus on what I can do. Oh, it was the whole, I heard a story once about some guys that were lost at sea or whatever and one of the guys, like the lieutenant or whatever started cleaning his revolver and the other guys in the life raft were like, what the hell are you doing? And he's like, it's the one thing I can do. And by the way, hold this spring, like he gave each person in the boat a little something to hold and they cleaned the gun or whatever and then they put it all back together.
And it wasn't even for the purpose of the gun needed cleaning, it was more like just focus, this is what you can do. So, you know. - Yeah. - Yeah, just grasping for something he was able to do as opposed to nothing he had any control over. - Yeah, this is. - Austin Chad went, fuck these G3 types, tweets are hyping me up. (laughing) - I saw that and I was like, yeah, I'm, we're keeping it as vague as we can, but man, it's gonna lead some people to wonder what the hell is going on. - Justin just hit me up, are you guys done yet? (laughing) - Oh my God. - You should reply in more ways than one.
And then Atlanta hit me up, just finished with G3. Maybe forever. So what character are you gonna roll next? - Um, yeah, I don't know, I gotta think about that. Oh, I really like her, she's so much fun to play. I'll probably play a dude, I'll probably go for a dude. You could play Po next. (laughing)
