I'm Jason, I'm the Dungeon Master. Going around the table, start with La'Ron. Hi, I'm La'Ron and I play Cole Dualfang, a long-toothed shifter druid. And Lisa. Hey, I'm Lisa and I play Elorath Beestinger, the halfling barbarian.

And Kira. Hi, I'm Kira, I play Ingrid Pike, the norm sorcerer. And Valerie. Hi, I'm Valerie and I play Sora Greywing, the halfling ranger. And Karen. Hi, I'm Karen, I play Jisveen, a human warpriest. Alright guys, let's get down to it. Enough of this staving off the inevitable. Let's do this s***. Last time on the show, you guys are still trapped in that attic. Much to the chagrin of certain listeners, they are not happy with the fact that only an hour of time has passed. So, essentially, your situation is this. You manage to stave off another attack by these two werewolves.

You manage to actually get them out of the attic. One of them had actually clawed their way into, and you guys managed to use a pretty hefty chest to push the werewolf back out onto the street. And for the time being, it looks as though that they staged a tiny retreat, at least to the other side of the street. Unfortunately, it sounds like they are calling in reinforcements. So, I ask the party this. What would you like to do? Can we block the holes in the attic? Are you f***ing kidding me? Let's go! Joe's going over to help... Laron? Yup. Joe's going over to help Cole finish taking stuff off the top of that hatch, because she's getting out.

Oh, God, this is going to go so badly. How are we going to get out of here with the kids? They have legs. Oh, yeah. How are the kids doing? Not well. So, if you remember the last time, the eight-year-old girl and Shaw are pretty much huddled into the corner here while the oldest girl is sort of cradling both of them. If you are actually physically moving things off of that hatch, the eldest girl is going to stand up and move toward you guys. And keeping her voice very low as not to startle the other two children, she is going to address Cole and Joe. What exactly are you two doing?

We cannot stay up here anymore. Where are we going to go? Anywhere. You can't defend this location anymore. What else are you going to breach both the door and the wall with? I don't know, but... If we leave, we have a fighting chance. Up here with just bait. Exactly. If we go out there, though, we're in the open. They can attack any one of us. Or all of us. We don't know how many of them are even out there. If we stay in here any longer, we are going to be surrounded either way. But at least there's a house between them and us. For how long? You saw how that one fucker just easily got in here.

Cole's going to put his hands on Ingrid's shoulders and just compress his face so it doesn't look like he's mad at the world and just look really compassionate. I need you to understand the situation here. We have a better chance just booking it as opposed to just staying here and let that one fucker just ring the dinner bell. The eldest girl is going to speak up. Alright, they've already called for reinforcements. What's done is done. If we try to run, they're going to just run each one of us down. We can't- We can't outrun them. And we don't have a plan of where to go.

Where are we going to go? I mean, before we just run willy-nilly, where are we actually going to go? What is our destination? If we get separated, how are we going to meet up? We can't just go out there with no plan and just run. We have to have some sort of a plan before we go. There's no time for a plan. We also have to do something drastic if we're going to stay here. What are we going to do if we stay here? Wait for reinforcements. That chest is the biggest thing, the most reinforced thing in this attic. And it's holding that hole closed right now. What are we going to get to hold the hatch?

What are we going to get to hold the other holes that the werewolves get into? Because they're going to dig through this attic like it's nothing, like that one did before we pushed him out. We might not have enough time to wait for reinforcements. We don't even know how far away they are. Right. Look, I understand you want to leave and that's fine, but we have to make a plan before we go. Some sort of a plan. Even if it's, we just need to have some sort of plan. We can't go out there with no plan at all. We will all die. Well, we better think fast. Whatever you want to do, think of it quick.

Because we're already working on the clock. All right. What's the next closest secure building or building that we could secure? That would probably be Town Hall. Okay. So, Ingrid's going to go and just sort of peep out. Can she see it? Do me a favor, roll a perception check. Great. That's going to go well. Fourteen. Well, fog's going to make things a bit difficult, as it so often does. One of the things that, one of the things that Ingrid is going to see is that neither werewolf appear to be in view. And the fog beneath them is unsettlingly still. No movement.

No sound of any kind right now outside. The eldest girl's going to come up next to, next to Ingrid while she's looking out. It would be to the right, down the street, but... How far away? Maybe seven, eight hundred yards. It's not that far, but we would all have to run. Or there'd have to be some kind of distraction. What do you guys think? Do you think we can make a distraction? Cole's going to turn to the girl. How secure is Town Hall? Well, there are pretty big reinforced double doors, and there are weapons hanging up on the walls. It's more decorative, but I think they're sharp.

Do you know if anyone is staying there right now? I've lost contact with everyone in town. Our dad got us away before things got really bad. What do you remember about the building before this shit happened? Well, there are lots of large chairs. We could barricade the door with those, and there's a lot of furniture. It's more than we have here. Okay. All right, so to the right, seven, eight hundred yards. It'll be obvious which building it is, right? Yeah, it's the biggest one. Okay. All right, we're going to want the kids in the middle. Somebody is going to have to take point.

Somebody is going to have to take the back. Kids in the middle, so we can keep an eye on them. We're going to want to try and be as quiet as we can, draw as little attention as possible so that the distraction will work. What about your ghost thing? Can that work? It's an encounter power. I don't have it back. Do I, Jason? I mean, we've technically had like three fight. Well, you get one per encounter. So if things were to like if you were to go out and do a new thing, yes, technically you'd have it back. I also have Sun's Glow, which does like a really bright light.

So we could pair that with ghost sound if we need it. That's a good plan. So I would have ghost sound if we go out. Okay. So, yeah, I'll make the noise and Josephine, you can make the light. Yeah. How far away is yours? Within four squares. And mine is what, 50 feet. So I think I have a little bit more distance than you, so we'll have to go with the distance of yours. All right. So who's going to take point? I'll take point. And. I'll take rare. I'll stay with you so we can do the distraction. The oldest girl is going to speak up. So we're doing this now. Now is probably the best time.

It'll have at least given them the shortest amount of time to bring in reinforcements. If we're determined to go. I think this might be the best time we have. Elrath, Sora. I'm in. She's going to look over to Sora. Before we go out and do this, I wanted to thank you. You didn't have to risk your life to come save us and. It was very brave of you. Thank you. Well, you're welcome, I guess. She's going to reach your hand out. I'm Kayleigh, by the way. Sora, and she's going to shake your hand. My sister's Lucy and. Well. I'm going to guess her dad didn't make it. Joe's going to look away.

Cole's going to go to where Shaw is. How is he? He's he's doing better than the younger girl. But you can tell he's he's scared shitless. Like this is a this is this is a big deal. He sort of grasps the severity of it. OK, I'm going to put a hand on the shoulder. You know the plan. We're going to run. Yeah. Town Hall. And he's just going to sort of lower his head and not at the same time. Hey, you know, he'll look back up. You can do this, all right. Yeah. All right, come on. Can't waste any time. As he as he starts to stand up, he's going to he's going to help the little girl stand to.

You guys keep an eye on each other. Stay close together and stay close to Cole. He's going to be taking the lead. With the way you with the way you phrase that, Cole's just going to do a little not not necessarily a shudder, but he's entertaining the idea of Cole and lead in the same sentence. Oh, God, I think it is not liking it, but he's just going to shrug it off. It really was not meant to be a pun. It's a democracy, guys. OK. You volunteered to take point. Yeah, I know. And that could also be a dog pun if we really want to go there. When Cole will say we're about to travel in a pack.

Oh, my God. So you guys are going to lift this hatch, if I'm not mistaken. Wait, wait. Perception. Can I do a perception? Likewise. 16. OK. Both Josephine and Cole are going to huddle around this hatch before they lift it and kind of lean down, press their ear. Right to the portal and neither are going to hear anything coming from the downstairs. As a matter of fact, it is stone silent ever since that howl. The only thing you can hear is just the ambience of the outside crickets chirping the occasional bird. But other than that, nothing, nothing out of the ordinary.

I have a question. Do we want Lucy to run as well or should someone carry her? We want her to run, I think. Yeah, Kaylie would carry her. OK, OK, cool. That's not even an option. Like that's just like, yeah. I guess we're going to open up the hatch then. All right. Really carefully? Yes. Slowly, stealthily? How else? I took that as a given. You just open it. Boom, motherfuckers, let's go. Right. Just take the door off, throw it across the room. Just like descend like Cusco. Use it as a shield. Oh, there you go. Lifting this hatch up ever so gently, it is going to make an almost imperceptible creaking sound.

Just at the apex. I would imagine that that tiny sound is enough to get everyone to stop moving and listen very carefully. There will be no additional sounds. There is a fog that has creeped in to the downstairs now that the door is open, for lack of a better term. Who would like to descend first? Cole's the lead, remember? Yeah, I did say that. If you don't want to, Elorath will. She'll probably look at you and just like, eyebrows raised, like, are you ready or do you want me to do it? And he's going to give you a look that's like, are you sure? No. Yes. She'll probably just like, like, her lips will like tighten and grab her flail, walk towards the door and start down.

Elorath is going to make her way down to the ground floor of this tiny little house. And as she sets foot on the solid floor beneath, the fog is going to gently swirl and wrap around her ankles. OK, once I'm down there, can I make a perception check or something? You sure can. OK, before I signal everybody. No. Oh, not bad. Once down on the ground floor, Elorath is going to be able to look at the utter devastation that was caused by the two werewolves just, just a few minutes previous. The window is shattered and the boards that were nailed to it have been pretty much torn asunder.

The door itself has been shredded. Most members of the party can get through it without even opening the door. There is a cool breeze that is streaming in from the outside. And you can see where the fog itself is just sort of funneling in almost almost like it's leaking in from the outside. Elorath will be able to see across the street just just a sliver from the outside. And there doesn't appear to be any movement or activity at all. And again, except for the ambience of the outdoors itself, just insects, creatures. It is stone quiet in the town of Lockford.

OK, well, she doesn't see anything and it doesn't look like the fog is disturbed by somebody being in it, you know, then she's going to signal up to Cole and the others to start sending people down quietly. And she'll probably stand guard, like walk over to the door and just kind of stand guard and keep an eye out. OK, Cole will let everybody know and then trail down and then stay to help people down as well, because he's tall. Kaylee would be the next to descend. And she's going to have Lucy kind of on her back. And before she starts to go down, she's she's going to lean down to her little sister and say, OK, just hold on and don't let go.

And then she's going to start to descend the ladder. And she's going to make it down to the ground floor and just sort of crouch down just a little bit. And then Shaw's going to follow a little faster than the two of them. You're guessing he's had he's had a lot of practice getting up and down this ladder. And then he's going to do the same. Soar is going to be next to go down. And I'll follow after. Got the rear. I'm just going to hang out up here for a while. I know I said I didn't want to be up here anymore, but I changed my mind. It's comfy. Yeah, there's a lot of space up here now.

Nice breeze, lots of ambiance. Yeah, she'll she'll be the last one down. Are the fires outside still going? Doesn't seem as though there's anything burning outside. OK. That would leave the party on the ground floor of this building. What would you guys like to do? Does somebody already make a perception check outside to our town hall? Not yet. I'll do it. 19. Cole would move toward the door. As quietly as possible. Trying to avoid the bits of debris, the shattered pieces of wood and splintered objects. So Cole would be moving toward the door as quietly as physically possible.

And through the fog, he would do his best to avoid bits of debris and splintered pieces of wood from the doors and boards that were barring the windows. And he's going to peer out into the night toward the direction of town hall. There are no lanterns or candles lit in town. There appears to be no noise whatsoever. And Cole sees no movement of any kind in the fog. Town Hall in any other town in Theria would be just a few moments away. For the party, it might as well be on the moon. How's the roof activity? Are you going to specifically look at the rooftops?

Yes. Do me a favor, roll a perception check. Better. Cole is going to pan upward and scan the rooftops. And he is looking very carefully. And through the fog and haze, just down the street, he is going to see the top of one of the werewolf's heads peering down into the fog below. Not looking in the direction of the party, but it does appear to be standing guard. How close to town hall is it? It would be almost dead center in the middle of you and town hall. Okay. I'm going to relay this information to the rest of the party as quietly as possible. Alright, instead of running, sneak, try and use the buildings for cover as much as possible, use the fog if we can.

The less attention we can draw, the better until we can get the distraction. I don't know how it will be implemented, but I have an idea. If we can make some sort of timed trap in the attic because they know that we are there, and then we could implement the ghost sound and the blinding light. But something that we can kind of detonate, if you will, from a little bit farther away, and then once they all start running towards that, we can go to town hall. The problem with that being that none of you have any explosives or anything that would be lit by a fuse per se.

Do we have any bottles of alcohol? No, I don't think so. If we did, we probably would have drank them. I was thinking Molotov. The best that we could do is I could... Well, I could cast one of my ranged attacks at the attic as we go, or after we go, after we get a little distance, something that will draw attention there. But it wouldn't be timed, it wouldn't be a trap. Do you have good range on this? Well, the lightning strike I'm guessing would be the most. That's a range 10, so about as much as ghosts sound for range. It almost sounds like you're suggesting that we set the house on fire.

Key difference being is you wouldn't be in it at the time. Also, it would certainly be a distraction. Oh, I totally agree it would be a distraction. I am just saying it is the only thing I can think of that comes even close to Sora's plan. That's fine, that's perfect. I wonder where he got that idea. Again, there is a key difference. It might not necessarily set the house on fire, but it would certainly draw attention. But that's the best I've got unless somebody else can do something better. We could go the other way. We could. We could totally go the other way.

What's the other way? Away from the werewolves. Not a werewolf. So you're suggesting trying to leave town outright. Yes. And go into the silver glade. I mean, they've all been called over this way. How many more could there be? A lot. And they could be coming from that direction. Can we go like around to the back of town hall? Like taking an alternate route? I was going to say, wouldn't we still have to go past the werewolf to get there though? Well, you can sneak around to a point, but there's pretty much one main street in Lockford. It's a small town. And then you can sneak around buildings and stuff like that if you'd like to try it.

Is there like the back of the houses? Like we could try walking. Is there like an alleyway between buildings that we could like go around the house and try and sneak up the backside of houses? Well, what I'd have you do is you tell me your plan and then what we're going to do is a skill check challenge. Like I said, I think we should, instead of running, we should stealth. We should stick as close to the buildings as possible and we should try and use the fog for cover as much as we can. That works for us because we're three feet tall. What about tall people?

Do you actually suggest that, Ingrid? Yes. Okay. If that's the case, Cole, knowing his weaknesses, he's going to turn to Shaw and he's going to say, "I'm about to do the thing again. Let the two girls know so that they don't scream." He's just going to nod his head like aggressively. Yeah, no problem. And then I'm going to turn into my wolf form. Didn't even give him a chance. Oh, I assumed that he did. Yeah, it's... Okay. Ingrid's going to look at Josephine and it's like, "We'll stick close together." We're going to have to, so yeah. So you guys are going to try and sneak through town?

Yeah. Yep. Alright. This is going to get hairy. Go ahead. Literally. Oh, Ingrid's going to whisper to Josephine like, "So once we get far enough away, cast your spell. I'll cast Ghost Sound. And if we see the werewolf moving that direction, we run. Run to the Todd Hall? Yes. Alright. Jason, how far is Four Squares? It's like... It's five feet. That's twenty feet. Twenty feet. That is not very far. That is not very far at all. Should I maybe just go with the lightning then and the ghost sound? Yeah, probably better. Well, you can only cast one at a time is the thing.

So it's not a duel you'd have to kind of pick in the moment what you'd be casting. I mean, from Ingrid's perspective, I'm just saying you can't cast two spells at once. Right. But I could cast one right after the other, couldn't I? Yeah, but other things get a chance to act. Okay. So see what they do with the ghost sound and then worst case scenario, just burn the points down. It's cool. No. Fire first, ghost sound after. Let them think that we're fleeing from the fire. They saw us casting and trying to burn the place anyway. They're smart enough. Fire would come first, sound would come second.

So you guys ready? Sure. Is this going to be a skill challenge as well? The whole thing is. I'll lead you down the way we're going to do this. Okay. So as a party, you all are going to be moving as one unit through the town of Lockford. And then if you'd like to stop and do things in between, we'll do that. And we'll just incorporate that into the challenge. But what you're looking for is four successes before six failures. So to start, you guys are going to leave this building, right? I guess. We kind of have to. I wish you all the best of luck. We need it. Fingers crossed, everyone.

I really hate when you say that. I think this is our first skill challenge. Yes. So do we roll initiative to see who goes in what order or is it just kind of be like, oh, I'm going to do this. All right, go for it. I'm going to call on people. And I know Kira wants to do something off the bat. So if people get ideas, see the risk reward of it is if you get an idea and you want to do it. Awesome. Go ahead. The risk is that you are kind of offering up. You're calling your shot. So you are offering up one of the group's successes or failures. Okay. Yeah. And then I'll call on people here and there, too.

So everyone will get a turn at bat unless someone's feeling really ambitious. Yay. Thank you. Leaving this building. Are you opening the door or are you just going to squeeze through the very large hole that was left? Let's squeeze. Can Joe squeeze through there? Because she is like five eight. It'll be tight, but you could. All right. Are you slim? Yeah. Her armor on the other. We don't talk about that here. Okay. So everyone getting ready to slip through this large hole in the door. Who would like to go first? I figure that would probably be what, either you or me, Cole?

Yeah. What's your perception? Plus eight. I'll go first. Yeah, you have a better one than me. I figured you would take point. Yeah. Cole is going to crouch down ever so slightly and move from the inside of the house through the hole to the outside. Who would be next? Elerath? I figure Elerath will probably hang around and take up the rear. No, remember, Joe and I are taking up the rear because we're going to do the distraction unless Joe wants to change. Apologies. Then yes, she'll be next so that she could take the other side of the door. Whatever side Cole did not go out on.

I don't know if that didn't make any sense. Yes. Next. Okay. Sorry. No problem. Don't let me ramble. I'm nervous. There's no reason to be nervous. It's my first time. Elerath is going to very easily move from the inside of the house to the outside and step into the cool night air. The children are going to go next. And Shaw is again going to easily step through this huge hole. And then Kaylee and Lucy. And then I'm guessing Sora? Yeah. Sora is going to very easily, with a bit of room to spare, slip from the inside into the outside. And then Ingrid or Joe, who's next?

Ingrid's going to push Joe. No, Joe's going to make an after you motion because if she makes enough noise, she doesn't want you to be stuck inside. I'm the one doing the distraction though. We can switch places afterwards. Okay. Ingrid will crawl out. Ingrid is going to leave the building. Joe. Yes. Do me a favor, roll a stealth check. As Joe crouches down to leave this building, she's going to shift positions and sort of lead with her shoulder so that she's as thin as possible to make it through this hole. And she is going to step from the inside to the outside.

She is going to start to motion away from the house. And there's going to be a sound. And turning around, she is going to see that a portion of her chainmail has snagged one of the splinters at the door and has ripped away from it. What would the party like to do? Ingrid's going to motion everyone else on and she's going to try and help Joe. Am I like stuck on the door? Is that what you're saying? You're just caught and there's already been a sound from you starting to move away. Okay. I'm going to freeze. And try to get it, but if Ingrid's going to help, I'll just let her because she's probably going to be quieter at it.

Yeah, I'll try to help. While I'm stopping, can I look around? Can I do a perception? Let's do this. Let's include everybody. I'm desperate here, okay? Yeah. For those keeping score at home, that's one failure. That would be me. Thank you. I'm keeping score. Let's say that Ingrid and Joe are a bit preoccupied with what's going on here with the door. Everybody else in the party, are you moving on? Given that the plan was for them to make a distraction, we'd probably keep going, right? Yeah. Yeah. Like I hate to be like deuces, but... That was the plan and I assume.

Everybody else in the party is going to start to slink down the street. And keeping their heads as low as possible and moving as slowly as possible as not to disturb the fog. They are going to move down the street and around the building into an alley. That appears to have a way open on the other side to get behind these buildings. There is a small fence that appears to be very climbable. And it doesn't look like it would take too much effort. Do you want to try and make it over the fence or continue down the street? Is the fence to the alley? Well, this would be all the way down at the end of the alley.

And getting over that, it looks like you'd be behind all the buildings. Oh, so to get to the back side. Yeah. My athletics is plus eight. Yeah. I'd definitely be willing to climb. Would it be athletics or acrobatics? It would be athletics. Climbing. Acrobatics would be like jumping and stuff. But again, this would be a thing where it's not a very high wall. Would we be able to assist? Yes. Okay. So I have a plus eight. What do you have, Ellora? For athletics? Yeah. Plus eleven. Okay. What do you got, Ellora? Plus two. Okay. So if anybody should be doing the assisting, it should be me and you, Ellora.

Yes. I figured Ellora would totally do the saddle with her hands. Like, "Come on. Put your foot in there. Let's go." As a matter of fact, it'll probably be best if they go first. Either that or Ellora sits on top of the fence and helps pull people over while Cole boosts them up. Yeah. That works. They can just step on my back because I'm a wolf. So while you're advancing down the alley, let's catch up with Jo and Ingrid really quickly. How would you like to uncatch her from this door? Because it appears as though the chainmail is sort of... It looks like one of these splintered bits of wood has sort of harpooned her chainmail and it's just stuck.

Really carefully disconnect it? I have teeny tiny little hands. It's like the chain to a necklace. Yeah. Something like that. Very delicately. Yes. Well, okay. Do me a favor and roll a stealth check for me. Ingrid is going to nimbly play with this chainmail and just try to get it off of this wood without pulling on the wood anymore. And causing it to rip away from the door and make noise. And after playing with it for a few moments, she's going to slide the chainmail off of this wood and Jo is going to be free. And that is one success. Yes. Thank you. Thumbs up in Ingrid's direction?

Ingrid will nod. I'm guessing that the two of you are going to move into the alley with the rest of the party? Yeah. Are we? We might be better off proceeding down the street when we're creating the distraction. I think we should keep going down the street. Okay. Sticking close to the buildings but carefully going down the street. Okay. Ingrid and Jo are going to take the other direction and take the direct route down the street. Let's catch up with the alley. Here's what we're going to do. We're going to pretty much base this off of one of you. Making an athletics check to get over the wall and then that'll count as pretty much the party.

Because again, not a high wall and once someone makes it over they can help. That's not fair. I volunteer as tribute. And I will assist. Can that work? Can we do that? We can do that. Alright. Let's go ahead Cole, roll a flat T20 for me. Are you trained in athletics? Yes I am. Then do that with a plus two please. Ten. You are going to be assisting so that's a plus two to your roll, Alarath. Yes. Do me a favor, make an athletics check. Alright, so it'll be whatever I roll, plus two. Yep. Alarath is going to scale this wall with relative ease. Sort of climbing onto Cole's back.

And then over the wall. And then she's going to offer assistance with the help of Cole to each one of the remaining party members. And you will all clear the wall fairly quickly and quietly. And you are now on the back side of town here. In the back of all these houses. That is two successes and one failure. Ingrid and Joe. What would you guys like to do? Okay, I'm not going to set off the lightning until we're about as far away as we can get. So, fifty yards? Or fifty feet? Sorry. So it'd pretty much be now. Okay. So I'm going to stay close to the nearest building.

Kind of gesture for Joe to do the same. And then I'm going to cast lightning strike at the building we have vacated. Okay, do me a favor and roll with a plus three because you are almost literally hitting the broadside of a bar. Okay, I don't even know how to do that with a plus three modifier. I'll just add it. Okay. Oh yeah, that'll hit a house. Twenty-six? Sure. So, the house is going to get struck by this lightning. And right around the point where the first and second floor meet, so this attic, it is going to strike the outside. It is going to make a terrible racket.

And on top of that, there will be a tiny plume of smoke where this lightning struck. And you are not sure yet, but a fire may start soon. And can I use ghost sound yet or do I have to wait? Do me a favor. Roll a perception check. Oh shit, does it have to be in me and not Joe? Actually, Joe can do it because you were doing that. So Joe, do me a favor, roll a perception check. Okay. Ugh. Thirteen. Everything's going to seem okay to Joe. Good job, buddy. Thumbs up. Alright, so since Ingrid trusts Joe's perception way more than her own, she'll try casting ghost sound.

And what sound would you like to make? Little girl screaming. Alright, so from the attic, I'm guessing? Yes. So from the attic, there is going to be a sound that sounds remarkably like a little girl screaming out in perhaps terror. Let's catch up with the rest of the party. About that time you guys are going to hear this scream and the children are going to react. It's just sort of a natural recoil thing. Can we roll perception? You absolutely can. In fact, everyone remaining in the party, do me a favor, roll perception. I think we all hear it. Cole, Sora, Elorath, obviously the children already heard it, Cole, Sora, and Elorath are all going to hear the lightning strike and then you're going to hear the scream.

That counts as a success, right? Because we all are. No. Damn it. You'll see. Oh. And all three of you are going to relatively easily piece together that that was the plan and that at least that portion of it seems to be going according to the plan. So you, if I understand the plan, you're going to move around the back of town here and try and edge toward town hall. Yes. Yeah. I love our hesitation, Cole. Yeah. Right? With confidence, people. Yes. Power pose. Yes. Yes. I knew you were going to do that. Elorath, do me a favor. Roll a stealth check for me. Oh, goody. This should be fun.

Elorath is going to move. Almost silently and take the lead and the party is going to follow suit. And you are going to inch through town. And it seems agonizingly slow. And it's only been seconds since the two noises behind you. But it seems like an eternity. As I'm guessing, every single person in the party is dying to know what is going on back at that house. And more specifically, what's going on with Ingrid and Joe. But we're going to count that as a success. Yay! That is three successes and one failure. Speaking of Ingrid and Joe, what would you two like to do?

Is that fence in every alley of every house? From what you've seen so far, yes. I think we should still stay on the road, keep the party split up, let the most vulnerable people have the more secure route. Do me a favor, Ingrid, Joe. Roll a perception check. Oh shit. The f- hmm. [sigh] Thank you. Thank you. Did I actually perceive something? Oh my god, thank you. Holy fuck. Shortly after the lightning strike, and almost immediately after the little girl scream, Ingrid is going to look across the street. And see that the fog is rapidly parting. And there is something in it cutting a beeline toward that house.

You're going to hear its talons dig into the dirt street. And it sounds like its mouth is agape and just snarling. What would you two like to do? Stay still until it passes. And then carefully creep forward along the road. Yeah, I think instinctually Joe would just get us close to the house that they're at. Just until it passed. Okay, here's what we're going to do. This wolf is going to fly in your direction and past you completely. As long as you pass a saving throw. We roll. I'm going to roll a flat d20. Okay. Fingers crossed. And on a 10 or higher, this wolf is not going to pick up your scent because it is so intent on the house.

On a 1 through 9, it is going to pick up your scent, immediately change direction, and try to pounce on the two of you. Here we go. Fuck. Well, at least if we die we're a good distraction, Joe. For those of you at home, that is a crit one. This wolf is going to tear through the main street in Lockford. And just after it passes the two of you, you are going to hear it skid to a stop. And it is going to whip around, and it is close enough for you to make out the outline of it in the fog. What would the two of you like to do? Can we get into the house? You can certainly try.

The door seems to be closed. Well, Joe, do we want to run or try and get in the house? God, I think... Getting in the house sounds really good, but I think Joe would run. I guess we're going to run. Okay. Let's catch up with the rest of the party real quick. I hate you. Oh my god. God, that's awful. We're so going to die. But again, if we die, we're a good distraction. What would the rest of the party be doing at this point? Just still advancing down the street? I'd assume so. Yeah, probably. Because, I mean, we probably wouldn't be able to hear the... The "grrrr!" Right.

The parts, the skidding noise. His feet like digging into the dirt as he stops. Well, what's going to happen is I'm going to have Shaw roll a stealth check. Can I roll a stealth check? Oh, you'll get your turn. Okay. Honey. He rolled it too. Okay, we're going to mark that down as a failure. Shaw, you're killing me Smalls. Ooh, was the other one? No, that was... Did your roll count as a failure for us? Here's the thing. The party is essentially split. And what's going on with Joe and Ingrid have almost no bearing on the rest of the party right now. Okay. So, the rest of the party... ...is going to continue to advance down the street.

And Shaw is, through the fog, going to bump into this large barrel and knock it over. Damn it. This barrel is going to make a lot of clutter. It sounded like there were a few metal objects, maybe some tools, something like that sitting on top of it. And it's going to tumble over, and you are going to hear a lot of clanging and clattering. And the barrel sounds like it's going to roll down a hill? So for seconds, it's going to go bump, clang, clang, clatter, and then as this barrel rolls down a dirt hill somewhere, and then finally comes to a stop seconds later.

It's like Pippin. It's like, "Why? Who invited you?" Shaw is going to look mortified. And he is going to stop dead. What would the rest of the party like to do? How far are we from the town hall by now? You are still about five and a half, maybe six hundred yards away. Can I look at Shaw and be like, "It's okay honey, let's keep going." And then we move and then I do a stealth check. Is that what you like to do? Pause to listen to see if anything is coming. I could do that. But yeah, probably keep moving. Yeah, I could do the perception, if you still want to do the stealth check.

Yeah. Alright, I'll do the perception. Yes! Ooh. Cole is going to listen very carefully after that. And he is going to hear a lot of movement and activity coming from behind them. Somewhere in the direction of where they left that house. It is going to sound like not only did the plan work, but at least one, maybe two werewolves have descended on that target. It does not sound like anything is advancing your way. So you have a decision to make. We should advance. I can't physically say this because I'm a wolf, but I should nod forward and hope everybody understands what that means.

I'll laugh though. She'll probably keep going. How's about we catch up with Ingrid and Joe? Ingrid and Joe, I would like you both to do me a favor and make an athletics check. Then? Ingrid and Josephine are going to start to tear ass down the street. There is no pretext of sneaking anymore. It is just a pure, raw, panicked run. It is going to take this werewolf just a couple of seconds to change direction and start gathering momentum. It is going to start to dig into the ground and race after the two of you. What is going to happen is that right now you are racing down the street next to these buildings and there are a set of awnings with thick wooden pylons keeping them up.

This werewolf is going to barrel through the first one. It is going to slow down as it barrels through and it is going to continue to advance toward the two of you. At this point you have run past two or three houses sprinting down the street and Town Hall is in sight. It looks to be about three, maybe four hundred yards away. Do me a favor. Each of you roll another athletics check. The two of you are going to continue to run. At about the point where the houses stop there is a gap and a bit of a crossroad. There are wooden decks that sort of surround each one of the houses and Josephine is going to trip.

Leaving the area and into the street. She is going to tumble into the street and roll. We are going to see what this wolf is going to do. The wolf is going to barrel toward the two of you. And it has almost closed the gap. Do I see that Josephine has fallen? Oh yeah, you are going to know. She is going to make a hell of a lot of racket too when she falls. I am going to stop and try and hit the wolf with the spell. I am going to give you one chance to do that. Go ahead. Alright. Wish me luck. I am going to try Moon and Stars. Okay. Okay, so that is a daily, range ten.

Target one or two creatures. And the damage type you choose determines the attack's additional benefit. So cold, the target is slowed and cannot shift. Radiant I can spend a healing surge. So I am going with cold. Oh and if I miss it still does half damage. Alright. Alright. Miss but it still does half damage. Okay. It doesn't specify whether the half damage includes the slowed and cannot shift since it is the cold and radiant. Hold on one second. What is the power called? Moon and Stars? Yeah. It says miss half damage your choice of cold or radiant. I would say you still get the effect.

Okay. Alright so then I will pull some damage. Alright so here is what we are going to do. Because it is slowed I am going to shave off a negative five every time it rolls an athletics check. And that lasts until when now? A save ends. Okay so that is how we are going to do it. So as of right now this wolf is going to take damage and it is going to slow down drastically. Josephine. Would you like to stand up? Yes. Okay. Go ahead and stand up. Okay. I would ask both of you please roll an athletics check. Let's catch up with the rest of the party real quick. Oh my god.

You are killing me. Sora do me a favor and roll a stealth check. Yeah. I swear if this one is worse. Okay. The party is going to continue to sneak down the street here. The back way. And minutes are going to go by and they are traveling at a snail's pace. But eventually they are going to reach the end of the set of buildings and there is just a large gap then town hall. Someone do me a favor and roll a perception check. Got it. Cole is going to appear down the street. Town hall now appears to be only about 100 yards away. There are no more buildings for cover beyond this.

There also does not appear to be anything in the general vicinity. There appears to be a hell of a lot of commotion back down the street though. You can hear the sounds of what sounds like fighting and one of the wolves sounds like it's giving chase. What would you guys like to do? You said there is nothing between the buildings and town hall? There appears to be absolutely nothing. It's a large open courtyard type of thing. I would say we book it there. Yeah. Yeah. That's what I was thinking. Everyone in the party do me a favor and roll an athletics check.

Could I actually use an encounter power for this? What you got? Mighty sprint. Effect is you move your speed plus four. During this movement you ignore difficult terrain and gain a plus five power bonus athletics checks you make as part of the move. You sure can. Alright. I'm going to do that and then I will roll my athletics check. So 20. Yeah. Okay. Kole is going to take off and everyone else. Oh! Elorath is going to book it. Oh! Okay. Let's have Shawl. Follow me, children! And now let's have Kaylee. Girl, you got it. Yeah, you do! Yeah! The party as a whole is going to streak toward this building.

It appears to be open. Both of the large double doors appear to be completely open. Elorath is going to lead the charge and perhaps sprint faster than she ever has in her life. She don't want to die. After, again, what seems like an inordinate amount of time, the party is going to reach the double doors of this large building. What would everyone like to do? Close the doors. Get inside? Yeah. No, stay outside and close the doors. I was like, what are you doing? You guys raised in a barn? Just trying to check to close them, I guess. You probably have a higher strength than I do, so I'll just assist you.

Yeah, I was going to say, Elorath will probably run the hell in there and then make sure everybody else is in before trying to close it, obviously. Yeah. Let's catch up with Ingrid and Joe real quick. Ingrid and Joe are going to continue to run as fast as they can. Joe is going to double down on this after picking herself up, intent on not falling over a second time. Let's see what the wolf is going to do. Again, there's a negative five. It did slow him down. Ingrid and Joe are going to start to close the gap between them and Town Hall. They are only about 50 yards away, and they are going to...

Do me a favor, actually, the two of you roll a perception check. Back to perceiving nothing. Why do I even roll? Like, honestly. Ingrid is very intent on looking down at her feet to make sure it is one in front of the other and that she is not going to make the same mistake Josephine did and fall over. Josephine is going to do the same for the most part, but look up at one point and see the party make it to Town Hall. And it looks like they are just about to turn around and close the doors. The wolf is going to close the gap between you and it. And it is very literally nipping at your heels.

Within a moment, it will have the two of you. Let's catch up with the party. Do me a favor, everyone, roll a perception check. Oh. Oh no. Neither Sora nor Elorath is going to spot their two missing party members behind them. They will, however, scout the interior of this building and not see or hear anything. Cole is going to do the same and just give a cursory glance inside. After the children run in, he is going to look down the street and see what the commotion is all about. He is going to see the fog separate, and he is going to see the wolf's form looming as it chases something down.

He is going to be able to see the top of Josephine's head. So he will be able to see these two party members running down the street and he can see the danger that they're in. Okay. How far are they from us? About 45 or 50 yards. Okay. Half a football field. I can't do anything. Cole, are you going to tell that? I'm going to tell... I'm going to tell... I'm going to shift back into my regular form and let people know. So this is the town hall. Mm-hmm. Is there any sort of upstairs that I could go to? Inside. It is pretty much a large, flat building. There is no second level.

It appears to be just a meeting place to discuss public events, things of that nature. There are two large double doors, each of which have these huge, rung handles. So it looks like you could maybe, if you can close the door, you could slip something in between them to help brace it. Beyond that, inside, there are lots of chairs. There are heavier benches. Things that you could conceivably move to the other end of the building and, again, brace the doors. There are windows, but a lot of them are slightly higher up and appear to be fairly small. They appear to be just enough to let light in, maybe some air on breezy days.

There is a podium on the opposite side of the building that someone would stand at and, obviously, address a crowd. Beyond that, there is nothing in this room. Could you shoot at them from the door, Sora? If he tells us, I feel like Elrath would look at you and be like, "Arrow?" Can we help? Yeah, I definitely want to shoot at it, but I'm just trying to find the best way. Is there anything we can do with the kids? Put them somewhere? I was hoping there would be a basement. There's no basement. That would be the first thing that Kaylee would do after crossing the threshold, is get them in the farthest corner away from that door and just have them huddle down.

Okay. That is one thing you don't have to worry about in terms of them not knowing what to do. I like this girl. We should keep her. Wait, did we go in through the big doors or did we go in through the back doors? There are no back doors. Okay. There are escapee. That was poorly designed. Yeah, this is a fire hazard. Yeah. Cole. You can speak to the fire marshal after all of this is resolved. Hey, don't look at me. He's probably a zombie. What's the roof like? You gonna try and scale the building and get on the roof? I don't know. What's the roof like? There's an archway over the top of it.

It's a bit of a climb, but that could happen. How far do your attacks even go? Really far. I think the range is like 20 to 40 or something. She would be able to hit the wolf from here. Standing on the ground? There's a slight risk of hitting teammates, but yeah. LRF, let's get a bench. Okay. Can we do that? Can we get a bench? You sure can. You'd have to lift it and drag it over, but yeah. Fuck. Okay. LRF would definitely like, if it looked like Sora was going to start like throwing her bow back to take care of business, LRF would definitely take off after a bench or even the podium.

Okay. And Cole's actually going to have this thought at the same time that I am having this thought. Use me. What? Climb on my shoulders and take the shot. Alright. Doing it on horseback. Wolf back. Wolf back. Didn't really work. Okay. A for effort. Well you're in a human. Am I gonna like sit on your shoulders? I just said that. Oh. Yeah. Oh damn. Sorry. I had to shift back into my shifter form to speak to you. To let you know. No, right. Yeah, I knew that you were a human again. Well let's do this. Sora's going to very quickly scale up Cole's back. Do me a favor, Sora.

Can I use a thingy instead? What's a thingy? It's a careful attack. Because I'd be very careful. Is that an at will? Yeah. Is it also possible for me to assist in any way since she's using me as leverage, I guess? What I'm going to do is I'm going to give a +1 to this attack. Okay. Good for her. Because the fog is still a hindrance, her two teammates are still a hindrance. Okay. So I put in the +1. Just so you know. Yeah. 33 is going to hit the wolf. Do me a favor, roll damage. Okay. Alright. This wolf is going to take an arrow in its shoulder. And it is going to slow down just for a split second.

Largely it is going to shirk this off and continue moving. Ingrid, Josephine, do me a favor, make another athletics check. At least it still technically slowed from my spell. This is true. And the wolf, again, the arrow is going to slow it down just a touch. It is going to close the gap between it and Ingrid. And it is going to tumble end over end as it collides with Ingrid's back. Both of them are going to go down as the wolf flips end over end, trying to stop its momentum. And then it is going to turn around, change direction, and face Ingrid. Does it do any damage doing that?

Can I go invisible? I would say yeah, you're going to take some damage because, yeah, so let's do this. Yep. Because I am totally using Fade Away. Mm-hmm. 11 damage to Ingrid. Alright, so Ingrid's going to Fade Away as a result, and this wolf is going to stop dead, change directions, and face where Ingrid was. Shoot it again. Let me, hold on, hold on one second. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Calm down, Cole. This wolf would be able to still smell Ingrid out a bit, but he's going to have a hard time pinpointing your exact location in the fog. So this could be, this could be hugely beneficial to you.

Josephine, unless she is going to stop running, the two of you have made it closer to Town Hall. You are only about 20 yards away. You are almost there. The party can almost reach out and touch you. Like, you are so, so close in terms of where you were. So let me ask a quick question. What would you do after, after kind of hearing that? Because it's something you would hear. They know I have that power too, don't they? What happened? They know I have that power though, don't they? I don't think it's ever been discussed, like, in-game. Well, it's been used in combat before.

I just can't remember. It's been so long since we had regular combat that I don't remember if Josephine would have seen it. Yeah, Joe has never been in a combat with you guys. Okay, so Joe wouldn't know. Right. So Joe might assume that she just tumbled in the fog, that... Unless she heard me saying, "Just hit me and I'll go invisible." Like, last episode, I'm pretty sure I said that a couple of times, but... If Joe can't see Ingrid, she's gonna assume that she's on the ground and that the werewolf is either on top of her or very close. Oh, you'd see the werewolf.

Yeah, but I can't see Ingrid. Right. So I think she'd stop and try to get its attention. Doing what? Probably just bobbing on the back of the head. Here's what we're gonna do. Josephine, I'm gonna give you a chance to attack before this wolf pounces. Okay. If I can't see her, does that mean I couldn't... If I use Blessings of Battle, if I can't see her, that means I can't give her the damage to resistance? Pretty much. But could I still use it because it has that high... Sure. Okay. I'm gonna use that. Okay, so Josephine is going to stop running, change direction, and run back toward the wolf and try and hit it.

Josephine is going to take a wild swing at this wolf and just barely miss. The wolf is going to feel this, turn around, raise up on its haunches, and snarl at Josephine. I would like the two of you to do me a favor and roll initiative. Oh, and I'm gonna take the damage resistance. Okay. Which is equal to my cod mod, which is two, I think. Let me ask the party, we're gonna do a round of this and then I'm gonna ask you guys what you'd like to do. Because you're gonna have a choice to make. Because it's essentially decide whether you want to help out your two teammates, which are just far enough away to avoid a lot of your powers, or leave the safety completely of Town Hall and go back out into the street.

Do we have to answer now? No. Think about it. I'll come back. Enjoy your safety for a few more minutes. I was gonna say... I'm gonna take a turn. He's going to target Josephine. The werewolf's gonna raise his massive paw and spread the razor sharp talons on its massive hand and swing down at Josephine. 20 is going to just miss Josephine. Yes! So he's going to take a swing and a miss. And that... That will bring up Josephine. Okay. Run. Run? Run. I don't know where you are though. Okay, well then do what your character would do. I'm gonna do, yeah. What a character.

Run. Yes. I'll do Blessings Battle Gun. That will hit. Yeah. Okay. And then... 10 damage to the wolf. Okay. And I think... That's all I can do because I can't see Ingrid. So I'm done. So Josephine's mace is going to sort of collide with this werewolf's chest and open him up just a bit. And that will bring up Ingrid. So you are lying prone on the ground. I'm guessing you'd like to stand up. Yes. Okay. You are standing up. Okay. I just want to move as far as I can stealthily. Alright, so I'm going to ask that you go ahead and move your movement speed wherever you want.

And that will be the end of your turn. Okay. Josephine, staring at this wolf, still raised up on its hind legs. In the time it took Ingrid to move, you are going to see that its wounds are actually starting to heal over ever so slowly. And he is going to swing down and try and claw at your chest plate again. That is going to hit Josephine. 19 damage to Josephine. Minus two. Minus two. Okay. Four hit die? Seriously? This is one of the weaker ones and he is not going to save from the slope. Jesus Christ. Josephine, your turn. Well. Please run. I have to disengage.

I'm going to Blessings of Battle again. I should just keep attacking. That's good. 22 is going to miss. Umm, hold on one second. I'm going to use my heroic effort. That will hit the wolf. Okay. Another 10 damage. And that's all I can do right now. Alright. Ingrid? I am again going to be moving. Alright. So, another five. Well, if you wanted to do double movement you can move ten. And that will be your whole turn. Actually no, I'll move and then, so that's my movement. And then I am going, since I am technically, I will be not invisible at the end of this turn. I am going to cast a spell which will hopefully indicate to Josephine that I am not there.

But I am going to cast Ice Dragon's Teeth. Okay. Alright, so I have the werewolf targeted. Good luck. That's a 15. That is going to miss the werewolf. Son of a biscuit. But that should still indicate to Josephine that someone is casting spells behind her. Let me ask the party. You are witnessing this fighting going on. What would the party like to do? Well, Elora is probably still grabbing a bench. Like if nobody told her, she is probably lugging a bench inside. Cole can't really turn his head right now to see if you are still grabbing that bench. From the way Ingrid has appeared closer and what she just did, he is pretty much going to make the decision to stay inside on the account that they look like they are about to book it in a minute.

So let me ask a question. The party is essentially just grabbing things to reinforce this door when the time comes? That's what Eloraf is doing. I don't know about Sora. What about Sora? Are you still on my shoulders, Sora? Yeah, I guess. Okay. Is Sora going to take another shot at this wolf? Shoo-ta! Shoo-ta! I mean, I think so. Can I use a daily? I don't think you are close enough to be able to do that. I mean, it's a ranged attack. Right. Well, yes, obviously. It's an arrow, I'm guessing. What? Let's see here. No, she's just going to chuck a dagger. What's the distance on it?

Well, you can use it as either a melee or a ranged attack, and my range is 20 to 40. So, okay. Yeah, you know what? I'd say you can do it. Go ahead. Yeah! Okay. This is one of my new dailies. It's called Blinding Assault. And if I hit, the target is blinded and cannot shift, save ends both. And until this effect ends, you can shift to squares of reaction whenever the target misses with an attack. And then if it's a miss, they'll have damage, and the target takes a -2 penalty to attack roll, save ends. Okay. Go for it. Okay. Do I still get that +1 from being on Cole's shoulders?

Yes. Okay, cool. So... Oh, and I guess I'll put my Hunter's Quarry on it. That's where I'll draw the line. Okay. 29 absolutely will hit. Okay, so it is... That is going to bloody the werewolf. So here's what's going to happen. You are going to bloody this werewolf, and I'm guessing this is some sort of trick arrow, kind of like a Hawkeye situation. So it'll be almost a flashbang going off in this wolf's face. Not nice. So it is going to collide with the wolf's head and temporarily blind it. Let's see. It is blind until save ends. Here's the thing. As a result of being bloodied...

This wolf is going to lash out three times and take three wild swings at the general area, which means Josephine. Now he does get a -5 penalty to these attacks. So that's a saving grace. You ready, Josephine? Yeah. That'll be a miss. That'll be a miss. That will be a miss. Fuck yeah! Now get the fuck out of there! Bobbing and weaving, everybody. Let's see. That will bring up the werewolf. Totally not fair, but whatever. Let's do something here. We're not unless it's in our benefit. Would that count as another success? Oh, we're beyond that. I think we got to that floor of our success.

Yeah, you did. You got to the down hole. You're fine. You're fine. Thank you, I know. We're on like, failure number seven. Hey, Josephine and I were excellent distractions. Yes, we were. Hell yeah. We got those kids safe. Yeah, you did. The werewolf is going to reach out and try and swipe at Josephine's face. That is going to miss. I'm too beautiful for that. Fuck yes. Okay. The werewolf is no longer blind. But he still slowed. Oh, actually I have to roll a saving throw for that because that was for the... You have two. Oh, so he was blinded two times? No, he was blinded and he gets a negative two to attack.

Right, but they're both save ends. That's the thing. They're separate save ends. Oh. Okay, so he still has to roll one for the slowed. And he's no longer slowed. Fuck. Wait, but it shows that the werewolf did save twice. No. No, he failed one. But he's supposed to roll three saving throws. Yes, so he succeeded on the one for blindness so he is no longer blind and he succeeded on the one for slowed so he is no longer slowed. He still gets a negative two to his attacks. Oh, okay, I see. Yes. Josephine, your turn. Alright, shifting one to get away. And then I'm going to move as far as I can away.

Okay, here's what we're going to do. No, yeah, no. You guys are about far enough away that you can leave combat. Okay. And that is up to you. If you want to do that, you can go ahead and just make a break for it and just run. We want to make a break for it. Yes. Okay, here's when I ask the two of you to do me a favor and roll an athletics check. Let's see if I can even pull that up again. Okay. See baby Jesus. Oh my god. Action point. Can I do that? While you're outside of combat is the thing. Son of a bitch. Ingrid is going to take off down the street and close the gap between her and this building.

Ingrid is going to make it to her friends. Josephine. Josephine is going to lag behind. Perhaps her heavy armor is holding her back. Perhaps she's just exhausted. Let's see if the wolf catches her. Again, the wolf no longer slowed. The wolf is going to bear down on Josephine. And perhaps through sheer frustration of you getting away now twice, the wolf is going to rear its head back and try and bite down on Josephine's neck. No. Let's see if this attack lands. Still gets a negative two, remember. That is going to hit Josephine. That is thirty damage to Josephine.

She is going to be bloodied and this wolf is going to sink its razor sharp teeth into the area just where Josephine's armor ends around the collarbone and neck and up to around her ears. She is going to take a massive hit and there is going to be a lot of blood loss. She is going to slow down to a crawl as this wolf takes a single bite. And then after a moment, lets go just to rear back and it looks like he is going to try and do it again. Josephine, do me a favor. Roll an athletics check. Josephine is still maybe woozy from blood loss at this point. But adrenaline is going to push her on and she is now about twenty feet away from her friends.

This wolf is going to catch up to her with almost zero effort. Is there anything the party would like to do? I will give one of you one chance. Did we see that she was actually bitten? As opposed to just being quad? Do we have to roll a perception for that? I am going to ask everybody to roll a perception for that. I would say that Ingrid was running at the time to be honest so she wouldn't have seen that. I never see anything anyway. I am trying to give you an excuse beforehand. Cole and Sora are definitely going to see this. They are going to see that Josephine has been bitten.

They are going to see the dire straits that she is in. I would say that you guys have a decision to make. Close the doors. What? She has been bitten. Oh no. I am going to use Split the Shirt on the wolf. I mean... That is what I want to do. But she is still on Cole's shoulders. It is another range. I don't understand. Are you going to hamper Sora's movement in any way? No. Or just get her off of him so that he can close the doors? Or just move away so that the doors can be closed? He is more focused on closing the doors so if she wants to get off my shoulders she can get off my shoulders.

Alright. I mean, okay. So, how Split the Tree works is I make two attack rolls and then take the higher result. And it is for two targets but I am only targeting one. So, 25. That will hit the wolf. Yes. Okay. So... Damage... 17 damage to the wolf. That is going to appear to hurt this wolf tremendously. And it is going to slow down once again. The arrow sticking out of its chest is really doing a number. Josephine... Mm-hmm. Well, actually it is the wolf's turn. I think the wolf should skip a turn from all the damage it just took. The wolf is going to rear back and, seeing that Josephine is still getting away, is going to try and bite down on her one more time.

That is going to hit Josephine. Well... Josephine is going to drop down to the ground this time. The wolf is going to ride Josephine's body to the ground to make sure that this time she does not get away. She is currently pinned underneath of the wolf. What would the party like to do? I take it I need a strength to get away. I take it I need a strength check to close the doors. These are pretty large doors. The doors themselves are not heavy enough that you would really need to put an insane amount of effort. They are sturdy though. So while it would take a few moments, it is not a crazy feat of strength.

I would ask that you roll an athletics check just to see how quickly you would be doing that. Okay. Did you tell Ellelereth to close the doors? Or to help close the doors? Because I feel like she would be helping you. Okay, yeah. Let me ask a very important question. Is Sora going to remain outside? Or after that last shot would she just give up? Do we think that Josephine is dead? Can any of us tell? Or can we see? I think whether Josephine was dead or not, Sora would stay outside. Alright. What about Ingrid? Well, since I didn't see Josephine go down, I would assume that I'm still working on the assumption that she was right behind me.

So I would turn around and look and I need to know what I'm seeing if I can see anything from where I am. Do me a favor and roll Perception. I don't really perceive anything, so if Cole's saying shut the doors, Ingrid will be doing what she can to help barricade the doors. Alright. The rest of the party minus Sora and Josephine. Sora and Josephine are going to close these massive double doors leading into town hall. And start to barricade them on the other side. Sora? Yes. The wolf is currently looming on top of Josephine. It is rearing back to bite down one more time.

What would you like to do? I would like to use Careful Attack. Alright. The arrow is going to go wide and miss this wolf. The wolf is going to look up at Sora. And you can almost see it narrow its eyes. And it's going to look back down at Josephine. And content that she isn't going anywhere for the time being. The wolf is going to crouch down. And start to make a break for Sora. Doing double movement speed would be able to get to about here. Sora, your turn. [Sigh] Okay. I am going to use Careful Attack again. Alright. Sora's hands slightly shaking as this wolf barrels down the street toward her.

The arrow is going to go wide. And the wolf is going to continue toward her. The wolf is going to close the gap between the two of them. Immediate interrupt. What you got? I got one of my new thingies. Weave through the fray. An enemy who is adjacent to you. Effect, you can shift a number of squares equal to your wisdom modifier. Which I'm pretty sure is two. Yeah. Okay. So, let's get you away from this wolf. Do you have a preferred direction? Away? Okay. Let's get you away. So this wolf is going to barrel toward Sora. And reach out with its claws to swing. And Sora is going to tuck and roll two spaces away just to get out of reach.

Shh. Josephine? Yes? Do me a favor and make a death saving roll. Just a flat D20. Yeah. Hey! Josephine is going to stabilize for now. Sora. Your turn. Okay. Okay. I'm going to... do careful attack again. Okay. Fuck yeah. So, I'm going to do damage. The wolf is going to race up to where Sora was. Swing and Sora is going to nimbly dodge, pull back her arrow, and strike the wolf in the skull. The wolf is going to stumble back and make almost a whimpering sound before falling dead on the ground. Get it, girl. Guys. Oh my god. I think that's a pretty good time for us to wrap things up tonight.

Oh my god. Are you kidding? No. We should see if Josephine is alive and... Oh god. Oh my god. This is so good. Thanks for about to get a lot more interesting. I appreciate you, I think.
